Doughboy’s Of The Poconos Pizza

Great pizza! Fantastic garlic knots! Must try them :) what a hidden gem.
Also, you can get slices — great place to pick up a slice on the run.

Excellent food and the owners are very nice (As we know, this is not always the case when it comes to the Italians). One thing I miss very much about living in DWG. Very convenient for the people in town, especially alcoholics who don’t need to risk a DUI to make a beer run. Highly recommended.

My wife and I stopped by on our way back to NH from PA. What a great little spot with great service and food. After having a bad breakfast at another stop we were anxious to find some good food for lunch and we were not disappointed. I had a meatball sub and my wife had a steak and cheese. I only managed to hear her say ‘delicious’ between mouthfuls. My sandwich was excellent as well and the sauce and meatballs both tasted ‘home made’. Like others have mentioned, it doesn’t look like much from the outside but this family run business makes you feel right at home.

It was a sweltering August evening. We had been hiking on the Appalachian Trail for hours. Hiking the trail allows one the time to think about the things we appreciate in life. It also allows time for the imagination to run wild. I sometimes like to imagine myself being chased by bears or wolves, and I pretend I am hiking the entire Maine to Georgia stretch of the trail. Good lord, that makes me hungry just thinking about it. I think about a time when mountain lions roamed the Poconos, a simpler time, before it became a haven of con-​artists and bad drivers. I also think about Pizza. This is the Poconos, where we have to cherish the gems. Doughboy’s is a gem. Family owned and operated, tasty pizza and take-​out beer. It’s not NYC style, but it’s good. If you want NYC style pizza, you have to drive over to the strip mall in Stroudsburg which is a hellish sponge of time, or over to Crystal St. where you’ll be accosted by urban campers. Doughboy’s is different because they’re nice. Trail hikers, bike riders, families, commuters, river rats, locals, touristas, you name it, everyone feels welcome at Doughboy’s of the Poconos.

We were in the area for a trolley ride and starving. I was a bit sceptical about the joint as it was nothing to look at but what a surprise once you step in and order. Small family business. Teenage son at the counter taking orders which is nice to see. Polite and well groomed. Ordered pizza and a sub sandwich. Wow!!! What a great slice of pizza. Crunchy crust with a good sauce and just enough cheese. The sub was served on fresh bread with great toppings. Great lunch! Would definitely return here again.

Delicious pizza and the sandwiches are huge. Everything is homemade and fresh. It’s a little drive from my house but worth the extra drive to grab a slice and a salad.

We were a little hungry & just wanted a bite before getting on the road back home to NY. Stopped at Alfredo’s on 611 but they were closed. Then almost missed Doughboys but luckily found it. So glad Alfredo’s was closed! Totally enjoyed a slice & a half of pizza heaven!

It the worst pizza in the poconos. Go to any pizza Restaurant in the poconos and look at there pizza. Then look at his .dont forget about the wrinkle Walmart shopping bag that they give you on the way out.

Pizza is delicious. The service is crap. The owner can best be compared to the soup nazi. Plenty of attitude. You almost feel like you are bothering him with your order. But again, love the pizza.

Came here over the weekend when things seemed slow, and pizza took a very long time to get. Should not have taken this long.
