Went here when I was in Del Rio with a friend. It’s all you can eat and for the money actually not a bad place. If I’m ever in Del Rio again, I’ll probably go back!

Mr. Gatti’s is an all-you-can-eat pizza buffet, and is fine, if you keep your expectations low. No, you’re not going to find Verace Pizza Napoletana-certification here. Gatti’s serves(fittingly) what I like to call buffet-style pizza: small, medium-thickness dough topped with generic sauce, cheese, and toppings. No matter what buffet you may visit, they all seem to offer this type of pizza — it meets the loosest definitions of «pizza,» and it may quench your pizza desires, but it’s not going to offer anything you haven’t seen before. It’s pizza, and you can eat as much of it as your heart desires. Execution and quality rival that of Ceci’s Pizza, though the larger chain makes a name for itself in the crazy crap they choose to put on their pies. Gatti’s sticks more to traditional toppings, though they also offer green olives, a(personally speaking) much better alternative to their black counterparts. An equally endless bar of salad also comes with the meal, and there is a small selection of dessert pizzas, too. When it comes down to it, Gatti’s is an all-you-can-eat buffet, and with most buffets of this type, you enter knowing that you’re trading a certain amount of quality for the satisfaction of eating to your stomach’s content. It’s quality vs. quantity, a choice many of us are willing to make on a regular basis.
