Spud Shack

Ostensibly, the Spud Shack at the San Diego County Fair is supposed to be known for its various ways of serving potatoes — from tater tots, to spiral cut fries, to regular french fries, to garlic parmesan topped fries (my personal favorite).
But, the REAL reason people come to their booth is for the roasted corn. Sure, quite a few of the food stands sell roasted corn along with their wares, but the folks at the Spud Shack just happen to get theirs done just right. That is, not too dry and not burnt at all. And at $ 4.17 ($ 4.50 after tax), it’s also a bargain.
While I was getting my order last night, one of their customers engaged me in a conversation… he said that every year, for him and his family, it wouldn’t be the fair experience without getting some roasted corn at this booth. And, I am in total agreement with him!
$ 10 minimum for card usage; otherwise, this place is a must!
