The unprofessional experience I had with judge Robert Frank recently while going through divorce mediation leads me to not recommend him for your legal needs. His limited knowledge and lack of equal treatment between my husband and my needs left much to be desired. Time and time again his bias came through, and his unfamiliarity some aspects of family law was negligent in my opinion. We terminated his services and had to start again with someone else, having wasted time and money. If you are a woman, this mediator will be detrimental to your needs, if you are a man, I recommend you do not compromise your integrity by using his services.

If I could give Rob Frank a negative star rating I would. My wife and I were racking up attorney fees like crazy as they battled back and forth. We thought mediation might make more sense with a supposedly neutral party. We liked the idea of getting a judge’s opinion on the issues that we couldn’t agree on. Seemed like an intelligent way to handle a painful and expensive process. Rob seemed a nice enough guy so after the first hour’s consult we agreed to start.
What a fiasco. He started us off both in the same room where he went over very basic stuff that the wife and I had already covered. He loves to hear himself talk. As the hours wore on it became evident based on several of his proposals that he had taken the wife’s side on issues and presented offers way out of line with what our attorney’s had already been suggesting. He made comments on what he thought things should be worth such as car values. It was not his job to estimate the value of our possessions but rather, provide the tools to help us agree on a value.
In the end this was a waste of over $ 2000. We left his office with no agreement, more animosity between the wife and I, and further apart than when we went in. If you decide to go to mediation, here’s a tip, learn as much as you can about the process via the internet before you go in because otherwise you’ll pay $ 300 – 400 an hour to hear someone go over the same basic stuff.
I think a good mediator can save you time and money, but not this guy. I highly recommend looking elsewhere.
