April & Lloyd Trimble

I’ve been a long time client of April’s and every hair cut and color has been perfection. She’s super receptive and communicates effectively. I always have a good time and that is why I’ve commuted from Temecula, Escondido, and Carlsbad to see her. Totally worth the drive!

Believe it or not I met Lloyd when I was working as a hostess at the Fish Market restaurant. He would come up and greet me, give me his card and ask that I go to his salon.. . Back then I was a poor college student and spending $$$$ on a haircut never crossed my mind. I would go to whatever cheap place that would cut my hair for $ 15 — 20 and that includes a blow dry thank you. Yes I even trimmed my own bangs.
Eventually I caved in and let Lloyd do something with my hair for my birthday, a birthday gift from my sister. Yes I was still reluctant to pay that much for my hair.
Guys, I never looked back at another «Cheap Cuts» ever again. Lloyd was wonderful, imaginative, and the right amount of talkative (I hate ppl who talk my ear off). He grew up around Del Mar and had great stories to tell about the place, the races, the Vietnam war. I received an amazing cut with free red highlights that *shined* and *twinkled* in the light. I received so many compliments from my hair and color that I was referring ppl to him like crazy. I never got any attention to my hair before (no surprise), this was a nice change. Very, very nice. Lloyd was not only my awesome hair stylist, he eventually with many many return visits became a good friend as well.
Lloyd’s great on cut, April (his daughter that he trained) is awesome with color. They each do both but everybody has something they specialize in. The two work great together and consult each other all the time. It’s really cute to watch the daddy-​daughter team.
Yes, a definite recommendation.
And now I’m stuck budgeting spa days into my budget.. . Thanks Lloyd, you created this monster!!!
