We tried 18+ different Sake, and didn’t even try them all for there wasn’t enough food for balance(no pun intended).then again it was a Beer and Sake festival. The Uni shooters were awesome. thanks Zenbu Sea Rocket Bistro shared some good eats Café Japengo was my favorite — not sure what sushi it was but FRESH Even Harrah’s Rincon had excellent Chicken Yakitori. I am a fan and I never fail to miss this event annually. Historically, food always runs out quickly and when the double dragon combo of beer and sake come into play, you never want to run out of food. Chris B(who is one badass mofo) hit every point on the mark in his review. However, more food did show later in the defense of the event. Ironically, as I stood in line to enter the event, I noticed that the line for prepaid tickets was ridiculously four to five times longer than the nonexistent line for walk-ups. This is not to say that the prepaid long line didn’t move quickly(since I stood in it), but really … line operation needs to be handled better, or — simply — I just need to show up FAR earlier. However, where do he and I differ among stars? It helps to linger after the event and help the vendors rid of their sake and beer wares because seriously, who wants to be bringing that stuff home. And that I had to drive home, so I needed to be smart. It was so easy to put back more given the good crowd and friends.
