They have moved. 1st visit was good. 2nd visit. … Not so good. We sat for about 10 minutes waiting for our Order to be taken. The place was not crowded. When we finally order it took 20 minutes to receive appetizers. Ordered a 2nd alcoholic beverage and did not receive. The waitress asked and I cancelled after 10 minutes of waiting. Drink refills were not noticed. Bread was cold. I don’t usually complain and try I give the benefit of a doubt but it in all honesty it sucked. Busboy brought out 1st drinks and another waitress brought our food. So disappointed. It was better embraced at the old location. People at other tables looked just as hopeless as we did waiting on their meal. Not sure if I will be back. I drink, 1 tea, 2 app, and an ahi tuna meal= $ 57.00. Wanna go back? Ehh pass.

An oasis in the middle of this very laid back almost iconic American town. Very hospitable owners that guide the restaurant from both front and back of the house with experienced hands on approach. Good fish and steak dishes, all reasonably priced in a modern and newly renovated historic building. Don’t miss this gem. If I found myself back in this neck of the woods again… I would eat here every meal, as there was nothing else of any quality in the town.

Went last night to the new Bogies. Had no reason to complain. Wait staff were really up to speed considering this was their first Saturday since reopening at this new location. Had the stuffed shrimp and it was very good. Wife had fish almondine which looked really good was described as excellent by her. We will be back.

Love this place! Nicest place to eat in Defuniak Springs by far! Love the California chicken in a sandwich or wrap!!!

Bogart Would Never Settle for This Defuniak Springs is a small town and Bogey’s is better than you might expect there. Our food was pretty good overall. Unfortunately, the food quality was marred by the poor service. We seemed to be an afterthought. Much of the time we saw the staff, including our two servers, eating their own meals. Shouldn’t they do that before the shift begins? If not, then why not take turns so that someone is always manning their station? Coffee was very slow to receive after dinner and when it came it was cold. Asking for it to be heated seemed like a terrible inconvenience for the wait staff. Even though the food was fine, I would try to find another place before returning to Bogey’s and their poor staff.

Good food. Decent size portions. The lime pie is not very good though. Also very small piece. The place is decorated with amazing celeb photos. Music a bit loud for us to carry on a conversation w/out speaking loudly. The food made up for it.

I’m only giving 4 stars because we didn’t eat there. We only had drinks which I have to say, the bartender knows how to make drinks. In a small town you wouldn’t really expect that but he made drinks like you would expect in a costly big town bar and prices were reasonable. The atmosphere was warm and friendly, had a nice chat with the bartender and manager. They even had free delicious bar munchies. It’s nice to sit at a bar where the atmosphere is driven by conversation and not overbearing loud techno house music.

We love, love, love Bogey’s! Located in the historic downtown area of Defuniak Springs, it’s got a great, classy atmosphere, wonderful staff, and really fantastic food. It was one of the highlights of a cross-country trip we made, and one of the few places I could justify spending a little money on. Attire can be either dressy or casual, depending on what kind of evening you want to have. The chicken marsala is extra good, from my own experience. Portions were big, and we had plenty of food. My husband took a gamble and ordered the grouper(he’s always hesitant to order fish at a restaurant), and it was, he says, the best fish he’s had in his life. I don’t like fish, but I tried some of his, and I agree. If we lived closer, I might just flip to the dark side and become a fish-eater. Our visit coincided with our anniversary, so we splurged and ordered dessert, too. Wow, was it good! That, and a bottle of wine, and it was one of the best special meals we’d ever had. I would definitely recommend Bogey’s. Survey says Two Thumbs Way Up!

If you’re up in Defuniak Springs, give Bogey’s a try. We went to see the Christmas Lights and as it is a long drive for us, decided to grab a meal nearby too. There aren’t too many places to eat in town that aren’t big-name franchises. Visit their website to see the menu and get an idea of what to expect.
