Yannis Pizzeria

Good pizza, calzones are huge, fried chicken is terrific. It’s a great dinner for a local family in need of a night off from cooking.
Delivery is an excellent option also, in a rural town.

Yannis is the best pizza place ever. I hope more people will come and enjoy their delicious pizza.

I must admit, if you don’t want a good old fashioned pizza or calzone loaded with plenty of cheese and other fillings, this place isn’t for you. If you’re in the mood for a sub, try the «House Special.»
I live in the neighborhood and have been a semi-​frequent visitor for years. I love the Greek owners and their food!

I decided to try out Yannis Pizzeria in Deerfield based on a recommendation from a coworker who goes here each month with his family. The place is located in the George White Bldg next to the Police Station. I won’t confuse this place with Yanni Pizza in Hillsborough and Yianni’s Pizza in Bedford, which have very similar names with similar menu offerings.

The casual dining room is spacious with self serve table seating and booths (seating for up to around 50 people), walls decorated with lots of Boston sports photos and old time Deerfield photos and a big old TV in the corner.
I ordered a Large Chicken Florentine Pizza ($ 11.99) to go, which was ready in about 15 minutes, with friendly service with a smile. The pizza was a good sized 16″ pie with a firm crust, crispy outside topped with a thick layer of creamy alfredo sauce, fresh spinach, plenty of fried breaded chicken pieces and melted cheese. The pizza was decent and pretty filling to eat and a bit salty tasting from the chewy/​crispy fried chicken toppings (I do prefer grilled chicken when possible). After having 2 slices with a cold Sprite, I was pretty much all set with dinner. Ample leftovers for lunch and dinner.
