Deerfield Public Schools 109

Having gone through the Chicago public school system myself, I was worried about sending my kids to a «public school». Boy, was I wrong to worry.
Deerfield is a mecca for parents looking to raise their kids in a Mayberry-​esque neighborhood – complete with top notch public schools. The community support for the school system is like nothing I’ve ever experienced in any other neighborhood. It’s a team effort all the way, from the superintendent, to the principals, to the PTO, to the teachers. In my particular school, the principal stands outside, regardless of the weather, and helps direct traffic and unload kids from the bus. I’ve even seen him shovel snow when it was needed.
I just wanted to give a shout out to all the hard working employees and volunteers of the Deerfield, District 109 school system.
