Food was good, but not universally fantastic. The clam chowder was very good. I also had the fish and chips, fish was good, but fries tasted like frozen fries. Is buying a potato and a knife so hard for a restaurant? Someone else in the party had the special quiche, which had spinach and squash. She said it was bland and flavorless. A few other people had the lobster mac and cheese, which they loved. Service was very bad though, we almost never saw our waitress, food was very slow in coming out, which I could understand if the kitchen was backed up, but the waitress disappeared and almost never checked in. In summation, some food was excellent, some was just OK, and service was quite bad. For the cost, skip this place when visiting Yankee Candle. The Café inside would be a better deal, or just drive somewhere else to eat.

This is, unfortunately, possibly one of the worst restaurant experiences. The four of us ordered 3 bowls of their Award Winning Clam Chowder and 1 Salmon Dinner. We ended up waiting almost an hour for the food to come out. While we waited, we were given onion bread rolls that tasted like they were bought from Costco and heated up. Hard and stale. Finally the food came out. The waitress said the salmon is ready but she had no room in the tray, so she only brought the soups. As soon as she placed the soup on the table, you could see by the way it had coated over on the top that it was cold. We sent it back to be microwaved… Eventually she brought the soup back and we still waited another 10 minutes for the salmon! (which actually ended up pretty good) As for the soup, it was over-​salted, as thick as gravy, and had a metallic after taste. Honestly, an over all disappointment. The only thing that would warrant the food taking this long is if they were actually using candles to cook it!
