I do have to say that the food is delicious. Whether or not it is worth the price is something I am still questioning. My husband had the Caesar salad and it was quite large and he said it was very tasty. I had the Caprese Salad and, quite frankly, it was not worth $ 18. We had asked our waiter how large it was since we were blown away by the price. He didn’t quite know how to describe it so finally I said, just tell me how many slices of tomato there are. He said 5 which, yes, there were, but they were not all full slices and they were quite thin. I make myself Caprese salad all the time and being a fuss pot about the taste of tomatoes, it is not unusual for me to pay $ 3.99-$ 4.99 a pound. For $ 18, I could make myself about 5 – 6 servings at home. There was absolutely nothing special about theirs and they could have at least fancied it up with some pickled artichokes or something. I would never order it there again. I have had better at some other restaurants for $ 10,99. For the main course, I had the fettuccine with mushrooms and shrimp. Absolutely delicious but for $ 22, I would have thought I would get more than 3 shrimp and they weren’t even jumbos. I do appreciate that they are served without the tails on so you do not have to be picking at your food like at most other restaurants. Yes, I know the shell adds to flavor while cooking but once cooked, I don’t want to deal with them. They make their own pasta and you can tell. It was tender and light — perfection. My husband had the Sea Bass and he said, it was the best he has ever had which is really a compliment since we dine out often and at good restaurants. The fish was served with some chopped up vegetables which were perfectly cooked. I had crème brûlée for dessert and it was served with a small scoop of what I am guessing was a cappuccino ice cream which was not very sweet. As much as I love my cups of coffee, it is not a flavor of ice cream I would ever eat so my husband ate it. The crème brûlée was good though. Service was excellent if not an overkill. Maybe they charge the pricing so they can keep so many on staff. I expect most times to see a manager, waiter and a bus person. I think we were attended to by at least 5 people. But I would rather have that then to get bad service. On the down side, one of the bus people had on a really heavy cologne and it was everything I could do, not to wave my hand under my nose. I happen to be one of those people that is very sensitive to fragrance and it can totally ruin my whole meal. Employers should be able to control this. On the other hand, 4 couples walked in and one of the ladies had on a very heavy powdery scent that was turning my stomach. Unfortunately, they sat in the bar at a table that was right behind us and it took me a while to get rid of the scent that felt like it was clinging to my nostrils. The restaurant cannot control the public so I understand that. One other thing, and this is meant to be constructive, the way they have the tables set, it is very difficult to get the restrooms without asking someone to move their chair or brushing them as you walk past. I cannot even imagine what it would be like if someone were in a wheelchair or had a walker. I looked all over for a clear path and there wasn’t one. This restaurant is in a large strip center with a number of other restaurants. Even though the parking lot is large, be prepared to hike if you can even find a spot at all. I am sure we will be going back again since my husband loved that fish and I will order more wisely.

Food — I would give it 5 stars! Everything we had was amazing. I had chicken parmesan, cutlet was huge. My husband had lamb, incredibly tender. Veal meatball appetizer was delicious. Service — 2 stars. Our waiter was not attentive at all, barely came to the table. Cute place, great atmosphere. Because of the food, we will definitely return, just hope we receive better service next time.

Good service, decent food, expensive for portion sizes. We all got half sized pastas and they were really small — at $ 15++! The crowd, at 7:30 was predominately grey haired — or families. We felt rushed as the courses came out so quickly one after another, and did not appreciate that. The staff were very nice and checked in often, removed any empty plates etc. I’Ve had better Italian elsewhere for less. Another thing to note is that our GPS took us around the back of the plaza(Cove) and we had to take a guess on where the restaurant actually was located.

Stopped here purely by chance and VERY glad we did. Attentive service, nice décor, and most importantly delicious food! When considering dining options, do yourself a favor and come to Osteria Sapori!

The food was great and portions just enough where you’re not stuffed. I had the lasagna and my husband had the Pappardelle. Loved them both. The ambience was nice and the service was fantastic! I would definitely recommend this to anyone looking for somewhere quaint and without a snobby vibe.

I will start off by saying you can’t always trust reviews. That said I don’t know what the open table users were thinking when they reviewed this place. This place has mediocre food at best and prices that don’t border on extortion, but rather are highway robbery. Examples to come below. I booked dinner her for NYE and this was our first time. Everything I had read was super positive so I thought it’d be a safe choice. Boy was I wrong. It starts with booking a reservation for 9:30 and not having your table ready. It took about 10 minutes to be sat. We decided to get a drink at the bar while waiting. We decided on 2 Jameson and Ginger. If you order this drink anywhere from Fort Lauderdale to Miami, the most you will pay is $ 10/drink. They were $ 14 each, you can get a nice single malt for that much in any other place Once sat we realized that we weren’t given menus. It took us five minutes to get the hostess attention. When we go the menus we opened it up to realize that no appetizers section was inside. We thought it was strange and of course they were in fact missing. The waiter one of 4 we had, which is another story brought us new menus. We decided on getting the Burratta appetizer as it sounded yummy. Suppose to have argula, burratta, dried cranberries and eggplant. ITsure has argula, there is no eggplant whatsoever and I mean none. We asked and they pointed to the cranberries, they had no clue. Worse the salad cost you $ 18 We had researched the menu before coming and thought it would be nice to get the antipasto dish. This would be proscioutto, salmi, nice parmesean reggiano cheese, but guess what they decided not to offer it that night, no other reason given. When we open the menue we see Lobster Fra Diavlo was the special, ironically this is exactly what I wanted. We wait 15 minutes to order and no one ever explained what specials they are featuring for the night. When the waiter comes I order the LobsterFra Diavolo and he says sorry we are sold out. Imagine waiting 15 minutes on NYE to order and then told your dish isn’t available. This shows no communication from kitchen to waitstaff because the special list could easily have been removed from menu. Once I am informed this news, the waiter ask me what else I would like to ordre instead, literally giving me 10 seconds to choose. I politely say given how long you took to tell me you don’t have the LFD anymore I’ll need some more time. We order 2 past dishes, one bucatini and one pacchier. The bucatini was $ 28, this dish is at most $ 20 anywhere else including down in Miami, again wow, highway robbery. Both were over cooked soaked in salt and pre made sauce. We are huge foodie and wine enthusiast and I’m glad I decided to use my judgement when ordering wine. Rather than order a bottle I decided we should get a glass instead. When a restauaraunt has such a large wine by the glass menu it is possible the bottles will be open for many days and thus not fresh. And I was 1000% right. We orderd a super tuscan, and it was $ 18/glass. It wasn’t fresh and we never finished it. Here’s another example of over price, Kim Crawford Sauv Blan can be bought at Publix or Total Wine for $ 14/bottle. This place sells it for $ 52, that is scandlous. The reviews from this place, must be fraudlent or come from people that have low expectations because they either have no variety in Hillsboro or they just lack the ability to cook. The bill for 2 glasses of wine, one appetizer and 2 pasta dishes was $ 138. You can go to Angelos in FLL and get the same thing for ½ the price, heck you could go to Martorano’s and get all the above for under $ 125 For much better value, service, incredible yummy food, with awesome service you are better coming down to FLL and going to Angelo’s. This place was a huge disspointment, thankfully I was with my lovely girlfriend and I chose to focus on the company I was with vs. this establishment. If anyone is thinking about going here, trust me you will be highly dissapointed. Stay Away and feel free to contact me for any other recommendations

We had a Friday night dinner reservation and the place was packed. We attempted to order the Arancini as an app, as recommended by our server, and after we put our order in, someone from the kitchen comes out and tells us that they’re out. UGH. This is one of my biggest pet peeves, and just shows that items are not made to order. Everything else was just fine. Fried calamari, while accompanied by some good sauces, was extremely bland and needed a heavy sprinkling of salt. The artichoke app was good, but a tad bit too oily. The pappardelle had a tasty veal ragu, but the noodles were about a minute underdone. The lasagna essentially tasted just like the pappardelle as it used the same sauce. Gnocchi was cooked well, and the vodka sauce was pretty spot on. The tiramisu was just OK..

A good solid Italian spot in Deerfield beach, the service was very good. We had a great Cesar salad and pasta dishes. The ½ portion was plenty of food for me, the sauce spicy and tasty. We will be back for sure.

Great place. Being from NYC/NJ, it’s tough to get a good Italian meal away from home. This place is excellent. The owner Francesco is a great host, and the food is really good. I recommend it to anyone.

Excellent attentive service! Delicious food, great dessert! Wish I lived in Florida, I would definalety be a regular. I had the parpadelle with veal sauce, the pasta was perfectly cooked. He husband lived the lasagna. The crème brûlée was also great, creamy and accompanied by super amazing butterscotch ice cream. Omg, would come back just for that dessert!

This place was a shockingly good. It’s located in a random strip mall in east Deerfield, but the food was amazing. I ordered veal saltimbocca and it was very, very good. Bring your own wine($ 25 corkage fee per bottle). We finally found a place in South Florida that makes a classic negroni properly! It’s a must try.

Neighborhood gem! I have a house near this shopping center where the restaurant is located, I drive by here quite often and I’d always wondered about this place, but since it’s in the strip mall, and also it looks like a hole in the wall from outside plus they have blinds down, and you can’t see inside at all, so I didn’t feel like trying until my friend(they are foodie like me) told me that her and husband goes there every friday, this made my mind to give it a try. First I wasn’t sure if this place was open because it was around 5pm, but we walked in and they were open for dinner. I was surprised, when I see inside, it was actually nice, they have a full bar and the place is quite big, and they have white cloth table napkins not a paper… Their menu is pretty big so we took some time to study the menu, but we decided to start with Fettuccine Alfredo(it’s hard to find the good one) then caesar salad then veal scaloppine with prosciutto and veggies and finish with Tiramisu. Wow! Fettuccine Alfredo was one of the best I’ve ever tasted! the pasta wasn’t mushy, it was perfect al dente, and the sauce wasn’t watery or bland it was thick and rich in flavor, I was very impressed, also caesar salad was very good as well, the dressing had very nice flavor and tasted anchovy, and my veal scaloppine had very nice prosciutto on top and very tasty, at last, gotta try Tiramisu at every Italian restaurant! Yes it was just perfect, I usually don’t like lots of sweets, but it wasn’t too sweet and I tasted nice espresso in the moist sponge cake, just wanted to keep eating… Our server Tim was fantastic! and the owner(I think he was, because he came to one table and greeted the lady who has been coming here for 20+ years). When we were leaving, it was raining so our server Tim offered us to walk us to the car with the umbrella, what a full service restaurant! But we told him we will be just fine walking few steps to the car… We will definitely come back very soon.

THISREVIEWISFORTAKEOUTONLY: I called at 5:05PM on Friday night and they said my meal would ready at 5:30PM. I came at exactly 5:30PM and my order was nicely packed and ready to go. Big plus not having to wait any extra time especially if I’m driving to pick up the order. Osteria Sapori uses Foil Food Containers as most people know they trap as much heat, moisture, and flavor as possible compared to the other options. I ordered a Salad &LINGUINE With Whole Middle neck clams and it had great taste & Flavor and seasoned well. The bread & the Salad were very fresh. I was pretty impressed with this take out experience at Osteria Sapori so for this I give them 5 Stars. Well done. I will be back for a dine in experience soon again

Had three fantastic plates of pasta here on a Friday night. This place looks like its brand new(still no sign on the front wall!) but it is definitely a gem! Surrounded by tons of touristy restaurants that serve seafood, this place is an absolute breathe of fresh air. Great staff, great food, and fantastic service.

Went there last night with 7 people, food was good, but very small portions for the price. We order one round of Perone beer, and the next round the waiter stated they had no more Perone beer, no problem since we really did not account on drinking Perone beer, but they only had one beer on tap and two others to choose from. So we went with one of the other two. They need a bigger selections and other tap beers. They also need a real sign to make the place look like it’s open. Bill was $ 360 for 7 people, not bad if the food was a little better and the portions were bigger. Not sure if we will be back, considering there’s so many better Italian Restaurants in the area.

Wow. You get a special feeling when you discover a gem before everyone else seems to have figured it out. Like you deserve credit, instead of the awesome chef. Food was awesome, service great, owners involved; like walking around talking to guests. Building a relationship and clientele. What I ate: Tuna avocado.(tartar) Braised lamb.(I love me some lamb!) It’s a shame I’m not a local and can’t eat here more often.

When you arrive you are greeted by a maitre d not a inexperienced hostess On the weekends there is usually live Italian music playing The place is dimly lit, feels like your in another era. The food is excellent, my wife loves the octopus appetizer, while usually I order the fried zucchini or veal meatballs The pastas are all made from scratch, and you can really taste the difference They also have a selection of Lobster dishes with Lobster risotto being my favorite. Everything we have tried has been great, the spigola, a type of Italian bass is awesome as are all the veal dishes. The wait staff is also very attentive. Maybe a little pricey, but well worth it.
