Nails and Spa

Just made my last trip here. Got Jessica again who as usual did a horrible job. It might be close to home, but the service here is horrible. She does not even compare hands for length. Out of two hands only 4 tips are straight. No sanitizing of tools. Maybe if she got off of her phone and stopped talking and giggling about all the customers who come in she would improve her craft. The owner who sleeps in his chair in the back of the salon should get up and manage the place. When he does get up and take a client he is slow and sloppy. Don’t get your eyebrows done here either!

I went here on a Friday, it was busy but I walked right in and got the best manicure I have ever gotten. The employees are very friendly and warm. I found my new nail spa! These are new owners who are out to do the right thing!

J Nails & Spa is disgusting.
Besides the Barbicide soaked nail cleaners at the sink, I saw no evidence of sanitized tools. The cuticle trimmer, cuticle pusher, and clippers came from her drawer, from which she «cleaned» them in front of me by spraying them with something that wasn’t labeled. I couldn’t smell it, so it wasn’t an alcohol or ammonia based solution. I should have walked out when I saw the tools come straight from the drawer.
Another faux pas was when the tech didn’t pretreat my hands or feet with acetone after washing my hands before applying the base coat. So now my polish is guaranteed to chip within 24 hours.
The place was overall dirty with dust, cobwebs, tv signal problems, plastic flowers, and very dated material. I went home and washed my nails with rubbing alcohol and prayed that i didn’t get a fungal infection.

This is a small hole in the wall type nail salon next to Wal-​Mart in Deerfield. They were able to take me as a walk in for a pedicure at 6pm on a Friday which was nice and the reason I was there LOL! I failed to make an appointment in time and my regular place so I needed something fast. They did an ok job but charged me $ 20 for a pedicure, I pay $ 18 for one in West Boca and get a much better service done. My fault for waiting but good to know there is a place I can go to in a pinch.
