It did take like a whole year of complaining that our washer and dryer was leaving rust marks in our clothes to get it replaced, and trying to deal with any issue that involves their upper management is a nightmare of runarounds. We finally left because our rent went up too much every year and when we bought a mid-sized house, our«rent»(mortgage) was the same amount. The place changed names twice while I was there. Not sure who is going to own it soon. Maybe the next owners will replace the dirt brown and daycare-blue paint color combination with something else.

Lived here for a year, it was expensive for being in Deer Park. $ 1,200 for a two room apartment. After my year contract was up it went to $ 1,500 a month, and I left shortly after. The complex can’t seem to hold on to a site manager for more than a few months, and I had trouble getting a hold of the 24 hour maintenance guy when I was locked out of my apartment. It took about two hours for him to get on site. I had great credit so I didn’t require a deposit. As I was moving out I was charged $ 600 for repairs and damages, which was reasonable because I had two cats. After I had paid them the $ 600 they reported me to a collections agency. Deer Glen claimed to have never seen the $ 600 I had paid them even though I had a receipt and proof from my credit union they had cashed my check. Long story short I ended up having to pay an additional $ 600 to the collection agency to get them off my back. Because of Deer Glen’s incompetence I was out an additions $ 600 and my credit rating was damaged. Screw you Deer Glen.

After visiting my Son a lot since January 2014 I have to say that this complex is very nice. I am a very protective Mom of a 19 year old who has been renting there since January 2014. Each time I have visited my Son the grounds are clean, its quiet and the office staff is wonderful. My Son originally rented a one bedroom with 1 ½ bath but down graded to a 1 bedroom 1 bath. Both places were clean, appliances working and ready to rent on the day promised. One of the most important appliances is the air conditioner. That works great. Being an over protective Mom I felt relief that my Son was living in such a nice apartment community. The office staff is what I feel really seals the deal. They are the best. I realize that its not normal for someone to be writing about a place they don’t live in but if you are a parent sending your young adult to Texas this is where you want them to rent.

After having lived here about a year, I can honestly say that I have no complaints. When I’ve had any problems, maintenance has fixed it the same day or ordered what they needed to fix it. When there was a problem with a water heater in the Winter time, they kept all residents up to date and took care of part of our rent for the inconvenience. The people here are very friendly(in the office and also residents). They have get togethers occasionally for residents to get to know each other and also the ladies in the office. It’s a fairly quiet complex with a pool, workout room, and a gated dog park with a gazebo. The apartment entry is a shaded road off of a minimal traffic one way street. It’s located just minutes away from Fairmont Pkwy and about 20 minutes from Houston. It’s walking distance from 2 grocery stores and many other things you might need such as a walgreens, cvs, starbucks, and several eating options. It’s located close to Carpenter Elementary, Bonnette Jr. High, and Deer Park High school — South Campus. You never have to go very far to find what you’re looking for. The apartments are very nice and spacious. Each one has a washer and dryer and I believe they all have a wood burning fire place(though I’ve never used mine). Most outside areas are very shaded. It’s a wonderful place to come home to. Great for young and old. I would recommend Deer Glen to anybody!
