Hello Unilocalers. If you are in the mood for South Asian/​Mediterranean food then try Kabab Platter & Burger! They have tasty food at good prices. I had the lamb gyro platter with the extra meat option at $ 10.49. The Basmati rice was tasty and fresh. It had a zing to it! They give you lettuce & sweet peppers with it and the lamb meat is cubed and tasty. My wife had a chicken gyro sandwich with extra meat for $ 6.99 and it was also tasty. Their yogurt white sauce is INCREDIBLE! The naan bread is made fresh for $ 1! Insane! The sesame naan is $ 1.50 each! For dessert I had the kheer rice pudding which is insanely tasty with fresh slivers of nuts and raisins and sweet cream. The place is next door to the awesome Texas Taco so now we have two places in the same plaza to go to. The owner was nice and the place has clean and simple décor if you want to stay and eat. Sodas and water only $ 1 a can.

I order from here very regularly. The kebab platter with raisins and carrots is stupendous! Their traditional rice pudding is far better than most. Dont go regular here, venture out and get something different and you will not be dissapoonted. Great staff always made to order so dont hurry freshest food around.

I came with my friends at this place in search of halal food, ordered mix Gyro platter, kabob Combo, and Zinger burger. We all loved the food, it was delicious, perfectly cooked meat, and spiced. This place is clean, staff was very efficient. It was great food as a whole. I highly recommend this restaurant to everyone

So I’m doing the side gig and needed a place to eat… go on Unilocal and I find this placer that offers «city halal style» this I have to try. We went in and the place looked clean and were greeted by a nice gentleman behind the counter. I ordered the combo over rice a lot of white and a lot of hot sauce. The moment he brought the plates out and I lifted them I knew I was in for a challenge, definitely a lot of food. The taste was different but in a good way, very flavorful to the point where it made this place unique. Like someone previously said the hot sauce could use some work, I’m from Nassau so I have the place on newbridge road that I normally go to. But if I’m ever in Suffolk and in the mood for halal I’ll definitely come here.

Pretty good! We tried the combo halal chicken and meat with rice, delicious and flavorful! I still love the NYC food trucks, the rice and seasoning is different, but comparatively good, I recommend this spot for Long Islanders who don’t want to make the trek out further. They also have desi dishes, burgers, and lots more on their menu I will look to try in the future.
The only thing my husband and I didn’t entirely love, was that the pita is cut up and cooked into it so that its little hard pieces, and not much of them. If they add a fresh pita on the plate, it would be much better. The hot sauce also could stand to be a bit spicier, or maybe they could have a second option that is spicier.

I’ve been a usual at Kabab Platter and Burger for quite a while now. Everything I’ve ever ordered has been cooked to perfection, I can confidently recommend anything off the menu. Although Personally I’m a big fan of their Mixed Gyro Platter. I have been looking for a Good place that serves an awesome gyro platter for a long time now and this is definetly the best I have had. I personally travel from about 40 mins away from my home to get this stuff and I’ve even had them cater for me in the past ! All in all this is a wonderful restaurant with a great atmosphere. 5 Stars all the way I would and have recomended this place to everyone I know.

Just had this for the first time, I walked in and told the man behind the counter this was my first time here and told him I was interested in something with chicken, he recommended I have the chicken gyro platter, so I did omg this was so good, and that white sauce is so good, if you in the neighborhood and looking for something good and new to try I would give them a try. I know I will be going back!

Never would I thought would be finding such a delicious halal plate out here in LI. Really happy I had the chance to try their amazing gyro platter as well some Karahi Chicken. The Karahi dishes are made to order and does take about 45 minutes so definitely give yourself some buffer time. Probably works best if you called in prior to order for take outs since the place itself isn’t very large its mainly a grab and go type of setting. Inside the restaurant is small with probably 2 to 3 4 person tables and few other 2 person tables but its quite clean and modern. Not much of decorations inside other than the menu on the wall but you wouldn’t care any of that since the food is simply delicious.
My first time experiencing Pakistani Karahi dish was a great success, the owner even threw in a free naan for me to go with it just to try it out as I was planning on having it with some white rice I cooked up at home. Honestly I think it goes well with most carb but I definitely love drenching the sauce over rice and naan. While similar to the Indian chicken dishes they do add a bit of spiciness to it at request to make give it some extra flavor. While the prices might seem a bit high it’s definitely enough for 2 – 3 people.
The gyro platter however is what I really love about this place. Not only its a HUGE platter of mixed meat and rice on bottom, they actually added my favorite chopped pita bread all grilled together with plenty of white sauce. Again the price might seem higher for gyro and rice combos but that one order lasted me at least 2 – 3 meals since the portion was so generous. The owner again threw in some extra white sauces even without me asking for it. Quite generous indeed.
Definitely going to be coming back here whenever I get the Halal food cravings. This place is relatively new and doesn’t seem to have as many reviews as other restaurants I’ve been to in the area but its quite an amazing local find.

Very clean. Authentic music playing on the tv screen, very polite upon entry. Food amazing. Only reason why giving 4 stars instead of 5 is because after the initial hello, held a full conversation in their language the whole 10 minutes I waited for my food.

I don’t understand all the rave reviews for this place… So disappointed by this place! I chose to come here rather than our go to place in Hicksville, BBQ Nite and I regret it. :(
We came in and there was a large group of 8 guys who had just ordered so they were «busy.» We ordered a beef and chicken kabob combo platter and chicken quesadilla. The wait was forever! And we can’t figure out why we waited so long since the food wasn’t complicated to make! No one acknowledged the wait. Though I do have to say the 2 guys/​staff working there today are friendly.
Food was really disappointing. Nothing special and nothing I would ever go back for. I’m not sure how this place has so many good reviews. The meat on the combo platter is laughable. You get a huge pile of rice and 2 measly portion of chicken and beef. We just stared at each other for a bit once we got our food. My chicken quesadilla was flavorless.
We’re spoiled by the amazing food BBQ Nite serves and it’s so cheap! Last week we ate there we paid $ 13 total for 2 naans, 1 chicken keema dish, 1 achari chicken dish and an order of fries! $ 13 for all that! Here we paid $ 20 for the combo platter and the quesadilla. Ugh!!! $ 20 isn’t much either to be fair, but not for what we got.
I came here with high hopes, but too bad it didn’t live up to it. Will never return.

My first mixed gyro platter experience… so delicious. Have been here over five times already. Quick service, nice people, highly recommend for a quick lunch or dinner.

Great service, and great food! They’re very generous with the servings. I pretty much go there every friday and get food for my coworkers. I highly recommend going here once in a while.

Went in for take out, cashier was really nice and helpful, he even accommodated and substituted something in one of my order platters no extra charge.
Selections were impressive: gyros, platters, kebab, burgers, etc.
In total-​1 lamb gyro, mixed platter (lamb, chicken, and rice), and a chicken platter with rice came up to about $ 25 (worth it for the portions and quality)
My new favorite local spot – I will be a regular!

Kabab platter is one of those places that doesn’t look like much from the outside but once you try their food you’ll keep coming back time after time! The workers here are very nice and the food is good. Normally I get chicken Karahi, Chana or Biryani which are all very good, the Desi food here is very good; and the selection of fast food is also all good. This last time I got falafel and Chicken Breast Kabab, the chicken was well seasoned and juicy and the falafel was so good I felt like I was eating in queens. Always call ahead and place your order so it’s ready when you get there. This place is definitely worth a try if you like desi food or cart style food and don’t want to make the trek to Hicksville or the city.

I love this place. There are a lot of places in queens that serve good old chicken rice platters like the ones in the carts but this is better. Additionally they also have kebabs and Indian food. I haven’t tried much of the Indian food but their Biryani is quite good. They claim their hot sauce is hot but it’s really not. In spite of this I completely recommend going here.

I simply can’t get enough out of this place located in a blink and you’ll miss it shopping center in Deer Park. Been coming here for almost a year and the food is consistently great every time. Killer kebobs, super hot Desi dishes and amazing Karahi dishes as well. The Karahi are for two people and need to be called in ahead of time to allow for preparation. They also serve burgers and gyros for the less adventurous, but I say go for the good stuff, you’ll love it. Come with an appetite because portions are large. The staff are friendly and very helpful and prices are very reasonable. Definitely check out this place if you want to try something different and delicious.

Fantastic. Came here once out of curiosity and have been a regular ever since. Being attended by the welcoming owner is a nice plus too. The gyro platter is mouth watering (actually salivating as I write this) and I could eat their rice and white sauce everyday. I’m constantly debating whether to try something new or stick to the gyro because it’s so great. At the very least you must come here to try the mango lassi, what a delight.

Hidden gem!
This place is great. The gentlemen behind the counter took his time to answer my questions as I wasn’t sure what to order.
I ended up with the lamb and chicken mixed gyro platter. It was delicious. Tons of flavor, and some white sauce on top that was amazing. I also ordered a piece of naan for $ 1. It was huge. The portions at this place will fill almost anyone.
DO NOT hesitate to eat here if you like this kind of food.
I can’t wait to go back! Funny as I was leaving the guy behind the counter said «see you soon» (I ordered takout) that is confidence in your menu and I will for sure be back.
