This place would have gotten 4 stars until recently. I stayed here while working the night shift for a couple of months. It’s not cheap, but not the super-high-dollar places you usually find in Houston. The kitchen, while quite adequate for a night or two is woefully small for an extended stay. There is no oven and only two enclosed burners which operate on a timer. You CAN however, borrow things like blenders, slow cookers, rice cookers, Forman grills and toaster ovens to use. Don’t expect to bake anything bigger than a biscuit. The beds are comfortable, the towels are good quality and the shower has good water pressure and plenty of hot water. The blackout curtains did a good job of making my room night-time-dark so I could sleep during the day. My room held onto cooking smells for a LONG time; it always seemed stuffy even with the AC going full blast. The pillows were kind of weird seemingly made of balled-up polyester fiber fill. Tolerable, but odd. Then there was the noise. While most of the time, it was quiet — I rarely heard my neighbors — until a shreiking alarm woke me in the middle of my ‘night’ at about noon. I thought the place was on fire and nearly ran outside in my undies. I called the desk instead and asked what was going on. They said they were ‘testing the alarms’ and apologized for the noise. Noise indeed. I was nearly deaf for the next hour. And wide awake when I should have been sound asleep. There was no warning that alarms would be tested and the staff claimed they did not know when testing would be done — an untruth. The OTHER noise was housekeeping. I realize they have to move things around while cleaning, but the banging of doors and what sounded like throwing furniture against the walls for hours, woke me many times. As for location, this place is somewhat remote. There’s a restaurant across the street that I never actually tried, but others said it was pretty good. There’s a Walmart about 3 miles away and more restaurants up and down the same road as Walmart. The hotel is about a mile off the freeway with good access and gas stations nearby. Overall, I might stay again, but only for a short time.

Was supposed to check in and stay at this hotel on Oct 2,2015. Checked into room and wife began looking for bed bugs and sure enough she found one. Needless to say we asked for our money back and did not stay here. However, hotel staff was reasonable and did not give us a hard time about the refund. Kind of hard not to when they actually seen the bugs themselves.

Great place to stay if you’re looking for a home feel! It was so great to lay on the couch after a long day and watch tv followed by a home cooked meal. There’s a full kitchen(minus an oven) which is worth every penny, especially with the amount I travel I can’t stand always going out for dinner or ordering in, I really love being able to cook for myself here. There’s a Super Walmart and HEB within 10 minutes from the hotel for groceries. Queen bed is comfortable and the suit is very sizable. The only negatives are the AC units are very loud and there are not a lot of non processed food options in the downstairs store. The rooms are not cleaned unless you stay a week or more which in reality is not that big of a deal, you clean up after yourself at home right? Go to the Marriott if you’re looking for room service and daily cleaning and turn down. I’ll definitely be staying here again.

The staff here was great!! defiantly not close to any restaurants or stores. Just coffee for breakfasts. Also the queen beds are horrible. Was very clean.

I really hate to have to give this place two stars, but it is what it is… its not next to anything to eat or drink and they only have housekeeping once a week! You have to drive no matter where you want to eat. There wasn’t anyone to clean up during my 5 night stay. One plus is that they allow pets, but when you check in its like signing your life away. More then any other hotel I ever stayed in. Then they tell me that I can’t bring my dog through the lobby door during my stay… like he’s a prisoner to be snuck in and out through the side door? Why am I paying a fee? Also, the size of the small room leaves you blind with little lights as you try to sleep at night and the a/c unit comes on like a rocket ship taking off. I didn’t get a good night sleep for 4 of my 5 nights… I should have moved. The Thai/Chinese place that delivers is pretty good though.
