Zaxby’s

I’m trying to understand how I go to a restaurant at 11 a.m. that opened at 10:30 a.m. and still not manage to get fresh food. I have never been to a bad Zaxby’s and I’ve been to many throughout GA and Central FL. it appears that this is the norm for this location based on other reviews. Not sure who wants to eat cold, hard chicken tenders and fries but I’m not a fan. If it were not for the fact that I’m now at work I would be on my way back down North Druid Hills to return this cold expensive lunch!

After much debate in what to eat before going to the gym and work we decided to give zaxbys one more chance. We have had bad experiences with them in the past with horrible customer service and constantly getting our orders wrong. Today we decide to get a large chicken finger plate with extra bread no drink and my wife decided to get a nibblers meal 2x one before work and one to eat on her break. Going through the drive threw the representative was very nice and vocal. He was also sure to repeat our order to
Make sure he got our order correct. We pull up to the window he greets us with a smile on his face and ask if we needed anything else. When we get home we decide to eat everything is fresh, but the chicken is a little dry but it was not a disappointment. Very pleased about this trip!

Sub-​par for a Zaxbys.
I’m typically pretty satisfied with Zaxbys but this location was a disappointment. I ordered the Wings and Things meal and my chicken fingers had those weird strings of fat going through them that I try to avoid. Out of 5 strips about 2 of them I didn’t even bother eating because of the fat and bready filling.
Typically Zaxbys is always a good choice but not this location.

Wait was long as hell but it was worth it!!! My food is fresh!!! So fresh I burnt my mouth. That’s how I like it!

This location has improved. The toast is rarely fresh at any Zaxby location but this location has very good toast. The good is hot and fresh. My friends and I eat here often. I would recommend it.

This is HANDS DOWN the worst Zaxby’s ANYWHERE! I won’t even go into all of my reasons for saying that, but take the words of the other posters here seriously and avoid this atrocity at ALL costs!

The past three times I’ve come to this location, my food has taken at least half an hour to get to me cold. Both the staff and manager genuinely don’t seem to care. Worst Zaxby’s I’ve ever been to.

Wasn’t very impressed. I got the Cajun club sandwich with a side of fries. First of all, the picture on the menu was deceiving, as it appeared to be a beautiful piece of fried chicken. When I got my sandwich, what did I get? Grilled chicken! I wouldn’t complain since this is the healthier option, but it wasn’t all that tasty. In fact, all I tasted was salt. The fries were just as salty.
Note: I came here because I was craving a good chicken sandwich and wanted to go to Chick-​fil-​A, but it was closed since I went on a Sunday.

If you have an hour for lunch, don’t come here. An hour isn’t enough time.
Anyone who is anyone should know that I love Zaxby’s, but I need to be completely honest here. This might possibly the the worst Zaxby’s I’ve ever been to. The service is so incredibly slow and the associates don’t seem to care. They look at you while you stand in line and just have a look that says, «damn, sucks to be in line, huh?»
To top it off, they don’t take American Express! This is a call out to the franchise owner, not this Zaxby’s. I hope he/​she identifies the delays and poor customer service and fixes it soon.

Like Jeffrey B. and some others, I would like to echo how sad this place is. The workers are extremely GHETTO and RUDE. The fries I’ve had had very little seasoning on them to the point that I’d forgotten that’s a Zaxby’s staple for it to have it on them!
Secondly, I went there yesterday to use a free 5 chicken tenders card for the Atlanta metro area and this ghetto person immediately said huffily that ‘they don’t take those!’ I said repeatedly to them, ‘isn’t this the Atlanta metro area?’ Mind you, WHENEVER I’ve seen «metro Atlanta» anywhere, that included surrounding communities within the perimeter! They stood me down that I couldn’t use it and had no care in the world. I was planning on purchasing something else as well, which I didn’t have to do anyhow!
I’m reporting this location as soon as I finish this review. The workers there have tarnished this nice building and food to the point where I’d rather not go there again.
This is a new Zaxby’s location and very convenient for me to get to off of the Emory Park n Ride. Of course I thought… Awesome! I always have a great experience and great food at Zaxby’s, but not at this location.
I’ve been here twice and both times it was absolutely horrible. If I could give this location zero stars I would.

If only it were possible to give negative stars … the food at this location is standard Zaxby’s fare for better or worse. The service, however, is the worst I have ever received anywhere (and that includes from drunken street vendors at Mardi Gras.)
We came in and two young girls were standing behind the cash registers, one with a nametag, one without. They were having a conversation about a house party they were going to after work. While we stood there, they continued to have their conversation without acknowledging our presence, and continued and continued, finally seeing the look on my face (after about 5 minutes) one of them glanced at me laughed and said «we don’t need to be doin’ this, right?» and then KEPT TALKING. FInally, order taken, we sit down. At the counter, more kids come in, stand around, lean over the counter and lay on the counter, some going behind the counter and into the kitchen area … perhaps all were getting ready for the aforementioned «house party,» The minutes continue to tick by. It looked to me like drink cups were given out and the kids monopolize the drink fountain, pouring drink after drink down the drain after tasting it and finding it not to their liking. After about 15 minutes, we finally see our food come up from the kitchen, and the girls at the counter continue to chat and talk to their friends while our food, now almost 20 minutes late, is getting cold.
Needless to say, we won’t be troubling the kids at this unit again. Owner/​manager/​regional Zaxby’s rep … you have a REAL problem at this store, the inmates have taken over the asylum.

A sad place in an even sadder area. The chicken fingers had a weird aftertaste, and the Zax sauce was just disgusting. Service was kinda adolescent. A wonder that this place is running with Chick Fil’A so close by. Certainly isn’t cheaper.

Food was salty, Service was rude, portions were small for price, expensive food were u can head to chick. They charge for all the sauces 25 cents a piece, me and my girlfriend was there and not only were they rude they forgot what we ordered and I just ordered like 2 minutes ago and nobody was in there. food tasted like they just put a bunch of butter and oil on it… Nasty

The best fast food restaurant because it is not fast food it is good food fast. I am about to move north where there are no Zaxby’s restaurants. So, I am eating here every chance I get in order to get my fill. The chicken finger plate is the best, but sometimes I get the grilled chicken sandwich

I try (TRY!!) not to eat much fast food. I feel like, as a fat person it looks bad to be sitting in the drive-​thru all the time. I mean YES, clearly I like to eat, but I want people to at least get the impression that I think about what I eat, as opposed to just shoveling the closest thing into my food-​area. Zaxby’s is worth being seen in the drive-​thru line. I go to this one and the one on Memorial, and honestly they seem equal in the food and service soooo I will probably not bother to review the other one. Sorry, other one!
The Zaxby’s salads have the worst-​ass name of «zalad» but they taste so good I actually order it by the dumb name. I like the blackened blue with Mediterranean, or the house with ranch. Supposedly the blackened blue is one of the healthier fast food entrees you can get, which I don’t actually believe because it tastes amazing. They probably put opium in the blackening seasoning, because I could sit around the house doing nothing but eating that chicken all damn day.
The chicken fingers are decent – better than Wendy’s/McD’s but not as good as Chick-​fil-​A. BUT as far as I know, Z’s doesn’t hate the gays, so I will take an inferior chicken product and give them my money. The crinkle fries are terrible and I don’t understand why they even exist. If Zaxby’s could get a decent fry I’d probably eat there double what I do now, so it’s in my own best interest that they do not change.
Their banana pudding and birthday cake shakes are the ultimate in artificially-​flavored deliciousness. And they also make brownies which are surprisingly tasty!
So there you have it, folks. I love a fast food restaurant and I only sort of care who knows it.

I’ve been a fan of Zaxby’s since I moved to Tuscaloosa a few years ago from Chicago.
Yes, the food is salty and greasy. It’s Zaxby’s. Get over it. Like all pseudo-​fast food restaurants, they are fighting the battle between consistency and underpaid employees who don’t really have passion for their jobs.
That said, the times that I’ve been here through the drive through the employees have been extremely nice and the food has been what I’ve come to expect from Zaxby’s. Delicious and salty fried chicken, fries that are sometimes a little salty and soggy, but never lack seasoning, and the glorious Zax sauce…
This is a Zaxby’s. Nothing more, nothing less– and I love it for that.

I have been to this location numerous times and it gets worse each time.
I visited the location this Saturday with my fiancé’ and ordered 2 buffalo zax meals in the drive through. When the cashier (Dante) opened the window he lacked the personality of a snail and didn’t even greet us as he opened the window. To make matters worse, when he gave us our food we noticed the fries were barely lukewarm so we asked did they have any fresh fries available. Instead of apologizing and giving us new fries his reply was «They just pulled them up not even three minutes ago». So we insisted on the new fries and he said it’d be 4 minutes for fresh ones and had us pull up. Ten minutes passed and no one came to bring us the replacement items.
Long story short, the manager was no better when my fiancé went inside to get the food and the replacement ones still were horrible. We will not waste anymore of our time or money on this place.

Awesome wings (rivals with Buffalo Wild Wings) but food is generally over-​salted here! Fries are a joke. I’m also always surprised at how large the bill is compared to the quality of food I receive.

Hands down worst Zaxby’s I’ve ever been to. Food is poorly executed, even by fast food standards.
Service is outrageously terrible, and you’ll be lucky to get someone that you can actually understand. Not to mention, you better check your bag before you pull away. I got shorted twice in 4 visits.
How this place will ever compete with Chick-​Fil-​A down the road is beyond me.
I would rather kill my own chicken, de-​feather it, butcher it, soak it in batter, and fry it in my turkey fryer on my driveway than go this place again. What the cluck?

Sat in the drive thru for 15 mins at 8:00 on a Thursday. It was totally confusing ordering with two people talking to me through the intercom. When I get up to the window the girl inside haphazardly passed my drink out the window the lid wasn’t fully on so it poured out on me a little. No apology or napkin. The food was okay, no better than expected.
