Agree 100% with previous review dated 7÷19÷2014, with the additional note that all the trees bought at HD, died. Supposedly, you can return the trees but really? Who wants to do all that? Like Lowes better except for house paint. They rotate the employees around the areas, and was given some bad plumbing advice which caused an expensive plumbing call. When wanting to spend good money to buy a premium washer and dryer set, dealt with the rudest and most condescending salesperson ever! Bought my house windows, professionally installed from here and very happy with quality and warranty. Salesperson was great, recommended to a work buddy, and they had a bad experience, he bought windows from Lowes. I tried to buy windows for my house for months, and ended up going with HD, since Lowes never had a computer hook up to do the contract. Ordered the blow in insulation from HD.

I live closer to Home Depot than to lowes, so it’s my normal go to place. I prefer lowes because it’s cleaner, better lit, just nicer. I have price shopped between the two and found negligible difference. Some of the Home Depot staff are so used to seeing me in there that they greet me and ask what I’m working on this time, which is nice and keeps me coming back. But I do get VERY frustrated when it comes to finding help for loading something up. Employees walk right by me and just keep going. I know the stores layout so well I don’t usually need help finding anything, but do sometimes need help loading lumber or concrete. Just the other night I loaded up my vehicle with lumber including heavy 4×4 posts, within feet of a male employee with his hands in his pockets watching. I’m a woman, you’d think even if not for employee reasons he’d have offered a hand just out of simple politeness. Nope… nothing. Wouldn’t even mention it if that was unusual, but it really isn’t.
