I came to get my iPad mini fixed– turns out they are harder than iPads and require microsautering. But they very helpfully directed me somewhere else.

The elderly gentleman was not customer friendly when I went to purchase a typewriter ribbon. He was also very short when I inquired about cost of computer repair. The lady in the back presented herself as being friendlier. I will be purchasing my ribbons and having my computer repaired elsewhere.

These folks are great! They have kept my old fax and old Laserjet working for years! I got 3 bad printer cartridges and they said they would get free replacements for me until it worked. They have saved me so much money these past 5 years or so. When I finally replace the printer, I will definitely get it from them. I will also check into getting a new laptop from them, hopefully before the end of the year.

If you have a printer or a fax machine that is broken and you just can’t quite justify throwing it out without investigating if its fixable, these are your guys. They do computer repair too, software and hardware fixes, but I’ve only taken printing peripherals there, so I won’t speak to that. They also repair and recondition typewriters. I have two vintage family heirlooms(boat anchors), a Woodstock and an Underwood. These guys clean ‘em, adjust ‘em and make new ribbons happen. Not that I need to type anything during a power outage or anything, but they have sentimental value. Or I might need some ballast. Anyway, on to the more modern devices they’ve fixed for me. HP plain paper ink jet fax machine that cost a lot in the early 90s and works much better than anything new. Cost me about 65.00 to make it work as well as it did out of the box. My HP Laserjet 5P. Also early 90s vintage but there isn’t anything on the market that has the same print quality for less than 700.00 bucks. Its not fast, but it works well and the cartridges are relatively cheap. I’ve brought it in 3 times since 2002 for repairs or maintenance. I always let them know that if its looking like I need a new printer — that fixing this one is stupidly costly — I am prepared to do so. And they always call me and its a reasonable repair cost wise. My husband has his own home laser printer. Screwed up right out of warranty. Took it there, minor adjustment, a cleaning — we were good to go. They also sell reconditioned and new printers. If I was going to replace the 5P, I’d happily buy used from them.
