I would have given them three stars except they left some of my food out of my bag, and the poor customer service. I showed up and the line was not extremely long, there were about two cars ahead of me. I ordered a catfish Po boy, & some wings as well. I was informed that it would take five minutes for the catfish to cook. Upon arriving at the window and paying for my food, I was told it would take four more minutes to cook. Bear in mind, it’s took me about five minutes to reach that window. Anyway, they left my chicken wings out of the bag, so I had to go back and get them. The manager did not apologize, or even turn around to see me. She simply told one of the employees to give me my wings and went on her way. Needless to say the chicken is like any other Popeye’s chicken. Not extremely good, not extremely bad. The customer service is the reason I probably will never return.

I have eaten here several times for a quick meal. However, after my drive thru experience last night, I doubt that I will ever patronize this location again. It was a last minute dinner ideal because it was after 10PM on a Monday night, and the only available options were fast food. Not wanting to settle for burgers, I decided on Popeyes because they have the tastiest chicken and sides. I ordered the 3 piece chicken trio with a large side of red beans and rice. After paying for my order totaling $ 11 and some change, I asked the guy working the window for a single barbecue sauce. He proceeded to tell me there would be a charge for the sauce because it did not come with the meal I ordered. Are you serious? I spend over $ 11 and I can’t receive a single condiment? I’m sure this goes back to the store manager who has instructed the workers to charge for everything extra. However, it seems that some common courtesy/sense could have been exercised in this case. Not being in a argumentative mood. I laughed and said never mind. But you can rest assured that I will not patronize the Candler Rd. location anytime in the remote future due to the lack of common courtesy, common sense and customer service exhibited by the staff.

If you MUST eat on Candler Rd, first say a prayer asking God to change your life then proceed to Popeye’s. This location gets the best review fast food franchise can get: good customer service, they never mess up the order, and the food is hot and tastes like Popeye’s intends.
