KFC

I have been a customer at KFC for as long as I can remember. I have never had any problems nor have I have any complaints. I do wish they would bring back the strawberry shortcake parfaits. I love the food, there has been times where as the food was cold at times but I’m not going to be really mad over that. I love the new menu that is offered the 5 $ combos, many options to choose from and it also comes with a cookie and drink. I always select from the deals they have offered change the side to potato wedges and enjoy my meal!!! So the reason I have this place one star (wish I can do zero) is because after a long day I went to this particular restaurant and ordered my meal I told the employee that I wanted the chicken tender meal and wanted potato wedges with my order. She tells me I was not able to change the sides it only comes with mashed potatoes. I have never experienced this before and I simply told her that. I have gone to many different KFC’s with no problem with me switching out the sides. I don’t like mashed potatoes so telling me that’s what will come with my order when there are several other options to choose from is crazy. I was told by the lady that she can charge me for the full meal and I could the side of my liking. I then stated again that I have done this several times before with no problems. I decided to take my money else where. I still love my KFC I just want be back to this location.

I’m trying hard to find actual restaurants in Ellenwood. I had not eaten all day and it was this or drive 30 minutes to get food. I am, however, learning to drink a juice shake or just go without.
Restaurant had a good health score, 95. Other than that, it was KFC.

I usually don’t order food from here, but since it was a long day of work and down the street from where I live, we decided to stop by for some fried chicken. Our order was a large order, so the people told us to drive around to the front. We waited over 30 mins, and came to find out that they have forgotten about us. The good thing was that, we paid attention to what they were doing the whole time, as soon as they start to mop the floor, I noticed that something was wrong. So we went inside, and good thing, the manger was there, and was nice enough that we got our food for free.

This KFC is okay. The food seems fresh as far as I know. Biscuits always are soft and buttery. Chicken never seems stale or over cooked. The service is a little slow on the inside, with normally one person up front on the cash register, and that same person fixing the order. The drive thru seems to flow a little better. I normally come here for lunch and get the chicken tender GO CUPS for just $ 2.50. Love those! I’m good for using the coupons that come in the mail too. I really think they should have another person up front though because the same person that takes your order AND fixes your order… is ALSO responsible for cleaning the dining area whenever she gets a break. But that’s not often because she frequently has a line backed up, and the dining area is often neglected. Most tables will have crumbs on them.
This location always seems to have the music blasting. Sometimes to loud. The selection of music is good though. Old school R&B!
One of the managers here I SWEAR looks just like Colonel Sanders! You’ll know him if you see him. It also appears that they may be phasing out those STUPID SPORKS, for regular forks! I mean… who invented those?!
This is a completely average, run of the mill, fast food joint.
