We’ve been to the splash pad several times with no issues. My kids really enjoy it and it’s a nice, low-key activity for a summer day when I’m just not up for taking them to the pool. Every time we’ve went it’s been very clean, and all of the employees have been friendly and helpful. I took my son to the bathroom at the splash pad a number of times and was pleasantly surprised with him clean and well-maintained it is.(We have been to a number of park/pool/splash pad bathrooms this summer and I could tell some stories…) I understand some people are frustrated by not being able to bring food and by some inconsistencies with the posted rules, but since we only ever stay an hour or so it has not been an issue for us. For now it is working well for our family and we will continue to go there unless at some point in the future that changes.

Pool rules posted provide inaccurate information. Rules posted state no food or drink within 5 feet of pool… the tables provided around the table are more than 5 feet from the pool but still no food is allowed even if 5 feet away. Rental is not available not even with 2 hr min rental… Called and spoke with Shannon Murray who advised these signed are no accurate and are just up so that there are rules posted… Understanding the admission is free at this time and fees are set to be charged starting next session accurate information should also be provided and posted and not just a sign with inaccurate information misleading patrons.

My friend said that someone recommended this park so we went. It was described as «off Columbia Drive.» I was thinking near Walmart, but it was waaayy down Columbia Drive. I went to the playground first. The equipment is new and very nice. There is also a lake and a lot more to explore, but we didn’t venture too far. Little ones typically need a restroom at some point. The bathrooms were atrocious, even by park standards. The doors are left open, so bugs just make themselves at home. The playground was fun for the little ones, but no other families were there, just random dudes in cars. I do not feel safe being at a park where single men are sitting in cars or walking around. It’s sad because it could be a nice place with more security. Next, we went to the splash pad. The splash pad is adjacent to the rec center with lots of people milling about, so it felt safer than the playground where we could have been murdered and dropped in the lake. The splash pad had lots of fun sprinklers, fountains, and other things you would expect to see. Rec center staff and camp children were present, so again it felt safe. Two drawbacks: you cannot bring any toys, even small balls and watering cans. The other drawback: there are picnic tables present, but you cannot eat in there. I understand they don’t want food to get in the water, but then don’t put picnic tables where benches would suffice. When I asked the man where we can eat our lunch, he suggested my car. Not with two kids. I certainly wasn’t going back to the tables at the playground for the reasons above. So we took our lunch and left. There are other splash pads to go to, so don’t go here!
