This was the best eye care I have ever received. Everyone was compassionate and professional. They took the time to listen and then to provide comprehensive well informed information.

I was very pleased with the level of service from the office staff, technician, optical expert, and especially Dr.Solomon. It had been several years since I had an eye exam and he put me at ease and answered all my questions. He thoroughly explained all of my test results. The entire experience was wonderful. The office is beautiful and everyone is very friendly. The optical expert was very nice and helpful with picking out frames. I will definitely be back.

I had a very thorough exam with Dr, Solomon and took advantage of the cutting edge technology his practice offers. My glasses aren’t ready yet but I am confident they will allow me to see far better than the last pair I got from another practice. I’ll check back in and let you know.

Dr. Solomon is great! He explains what is going on and makes sure you understand your health condition and makes you feel comfortable. The staff is so friendly and helpful.
They won’t «oversell» you on glasses or exams. They are all about making sure you leave happy and confident that you are in good hands!

I’ve been going to Druid Hills Eyecare since they were located in the Toco Hills shopping mall. A coworker of mine introduce me to them about 8 years ago. I’ve been a fan since. Also, I’ve convinced others to try them out since I’ve began going to the office. The staff is fantastic and Dr. Solomon is an engaging, informative, meticulous and caring doctor. He definitely explains everything to you in terms you can understand. He provides detailed instructions or recommendations and explains the «why» of things without having to inquire on your own. They consistently ask if you have any questions or concerns they can address with the treatment or exam. They have moved to a new location and the office is gorgeous, open and well designed with the same great staff and service. I highly recommend if you’re in the market for a new eye doctor or ready to switch for whatever reason you should make this your first stop because I’m pretty sure it will be your last.

I visited Dr. Henderson and she was superb. I have several eye issues and she was able to properly explain what each one is, how it works/​why it happens, and how to fix it. She was polite speaking to me, not talking down to me at all, and very helpful in answering all my questions. She is probably the most thorough eye doctor I’ve ever visited. I didn’t feel she rushed through our appointment despite it being the last of the day. I feel confident she knows what she is doing, and gave me an accurate prescription. I will definitely go back to her again.
The reason this review did not get 5 stars is because my visit was very expensive! The optician told me I had the best insurance, yet I still had to pay a great deal of money beyond that for my glasses. (Mind you I didn’t get fancy add ons like blue light protection etc)
Additionally, the optician I saw was a bit pushy about glasses selection. My opinion is at the end of the day, I’m wearing them I should like them. She outright vetoed some I selected then when I ended up going with a pair I picked out she took credit with the other staff saying she picked them.
All in all, I will definitely be a long term patient here because Dr Henderson is great.

Everyone here is great and friendly and the facility is pretty nice. The doctors, as well as the staff, know their stuff. I have VSP, so the eye appt only cost me $ 20. Dr. Solomon is knowledgeable as well as personable, making the entire appointment a very positive experience. Frame selection is pretty good too.

VSP + CareCredit + good reviews + broken glasses sent me there. Glad I went. The office staff and assistants are very friendly. I was seen promptly. Dr. Solomon was very thorough and I was confident in his diagnosis/​answers to my questions. I spent a little more than I did the last time I got lenses/​glasses from a chain store, but I think the quality of the frames I got is much higher.

Excellent Eyecare facility. Everyone was helpful and friendly. Dr. Henderson explained all of my test results thoroughly. I have rheumatoid arthritis and have to be checked annually to remain on a certain medication. Druid Hills Eyecare has state of the art equipment that impressed me as I have not seen this elaborate a set up in other optometry clinics. I’ll be returning next year for sure. I also got a cool new pair of glasses. They have a great selection!

This is a great eye care center. Everyone is very helpful and pleasant. Even when I ran out of contacts early, they were happy to give me a pair to get me to the next appt. without making a fuss or charging me.

This place is pretty new, but I recommend them to get your vision checked and for glasses. They have great hours for working people like myself and even are open on weekends. Their glasses selection is wonderful. They have lots of designers and styles to choose from.
I compared prices at other places and even online and this place was actually the cheapest for the designer glasses that I wanted. I ordered them and they were in within a week.

I moved to Decatur in the summer of 2015 and needed my annual eye exam in November 2015. Dr. Ashlee Henderson provided a very thorough assessment, including a digital photo image of the retina, and adjusted my multifocal contact lens prescription. I am seeing very well and she made several suggestions regarding my daily eye care that helped. Druid Hills Eyecare is professional and caring organization with a knowledgeable and competent staff. I highly recommend this practice.

This place has never disappointed me. Everything is great. The staff are very friendly and Dr. Solomon is extremely thorough and very personable. I’ve ordered glasses, which I always get great complements and I’ve also ordered contacts which arrive within a few days. I don’t have any complaints. I found them using Unilocal in search of a new eye doctor for my ever changing insurance plan. I hope I don’t have to switch again.

I went to Druid Hills Eye Care because I needed a place that accepted the insurance I currently have. Glad I did.

The frame selection was pretty good, although I did not see much that I thought of as inexpensive. I have only purchased glasses twice before so maybe I don’t know much about frame prices.
I did find something I liked quickly and they had my insurance information already built in to the price.
I will be back next year.

I found Druid Hills Eye Care through Emory’s Aetna Student Insurance plan. I made an appointment through their website and waited for a confirmation email or call, as instructed. A few days later, I still hadn’t received one so I called to make an appointment the old fashioned way. The lady who answered was very polite and friendly, and informed me that they had received and confirmed my appointment via email. She offered to reschedule me if I couldn’t make it.
The clinic is very clean and well-​lit. The staff were all very helpful and professional during my 3 visits there. Dr. Solomon himself was straight forward and friendly. He was a little bit impatient during the prescription eye exam process, but I’m not the best at determining if «A» or «B» is better or worse.
Dr. Solomon made me uncomfortable when he pushed services (pupil dilation) at me that I had already clearly refused when I checked in. When I once again refused, he demanded to know why. He may just be concerned with the health of my eyes, but if a patient understands what he/​she is refusing, he should approach it in a different manner and respect his/​her decision, rather than become borderline offended. This occurred once more when I politely told him I’d order my contacts later, since I wanted to check the competition’s prices before spending $ 500+. Once again, he became incredibly pushy and insisted that I absolutely NEEDED contacts right now (which I obviously didn’t, since I came in wearing my glasses). He didn’t let the matter go so I finally just told him I wanted to do some research on prices before purchasing. He redeemed himself here by sitting down right there in the exam room and checking out some of the other prices with me.
Finding the prices at his office comparable, I agreed to order from him. Although he claimed that they would arrive in, at the latest, 2 days, I didn’t receive them until 4 days later. However, kudos to their customer service, for I called them to ask for some more sample lenses to hold me over until my contacts arrived (he was the one who insisted I MUST have them after all) and they prepared some lenses for me to pick up that day.
Dr. Solomon is very friendly, but also overly zealous and pushy. The staff were wonderfully kind and professional. The office is clean and offers a wide variety of frames for you to try on. If they take your insurance and at a convenient location for you, I say give them a try.

I’ve been a patient of Dr. Solomon for almost 3 years. He and his staff are friendly, prompt, and willing to explain procedures. I have recommended him, and will recommend him in the future.

I was looking for a good doctor. I saw the office reviews online with my eye insurance company. The office lived up to all the outstanding reviews. And on top of everything, I can finally see with my new contacts and don’t have to wear readers.

I have delayed getting my eyes checked for 4 years and am so glad I came today. They were very accommodating. It dawned on me today at noon that I needed new glasses and they were able to see me during my lunch break a few hours later. The associates were super nice and we had a lot of fun choosing my frames. The doctor spent extra time with me to answer my questions and took his time explaining each process to me. I had planned on coming just for a prescription and heading to Warbyparker but found beautiful frames here that I love!
