Dearborn Surgery Center

A week ago today, I had surgery on my knee at Dearborn Surgical Center. My entire experience there was fantastic. The center itself, was beautiful, clean, immaculate and exactly what you would want in a facility that performs surgical procedures. As soon as I entered, I was greeted warmly and each and every staff member I came into contact with, was kind, professional and went above and beyond for me, and also for one another.
What really made my experience here one of a kind, happened days after my surgery. While I was in my own private room waiting to be taken into surgery, I held onto a prayer card with a picture of Jesus on it. That’s all it was. A picture of Jesus, and on the back in pencil, in my 7 y/​o son’s handwriting, it said, «I love God.» He received it after learning the Our Father prayer. He gave it to me to have while I went through surgery. I handed it to my husband before they wheeled me into surgery, and I thought I saw him put it in his coat pocket. Well, days later, we received an envelope in the mail with the prayer card in it, from Dearborn Surgical Center. These kind wonderful people had at some point noticed it in my hand, and with no other tell tail sign of who the card belonged to, knew it was mine and mailed it back to me. The kind gesture has touched me in so many ways. I was already happy with my experience here, and this only solidified that.

Had to have reconstructive surgery and my doctor, Dr. Ian Little, does surgery here once a week. So, needless to say since this place is very close to my home I decided to have surgery at this place. Parking is ample and very convenient for patients.
The ladies at the front desk are remarkable and very comfortable to talk to and give your information. The waiting area is quite comfortable as well with televisions and quiet areas for those who need it.
If you are a patient having surgery someone will call you into the back. In the back it is very large in which I was very surprised! You change into a gown and anyone coming into your area always introduces themselves and tells you what their role is. They prep you and get you ready for surgery!!!
You go into surgery and who knows what they do to you, but when you come out and regain consciousness I was not in pain and they had pre-​sent me a prescription for pain pills so I would be comfortable at home while recuperating, this way I was able to take them to the pharmacy and when I got home there they were!
The center is very clean — very important as well! Updated equipment and excellent staff! Kudos to you Dearborn Surgery Center for taking excellent care of me!
