Al Amir

My husband and I love this restaurant. The interior is kind of shabby chic, but the food is delicious. Simple Lebanese restaurant fare– kebobs, fetoosh, falafel, fries, chicken, shawarma, hummous, etc. The fresh juice drink cocktails are my favorite!

It was ok. Service was great and the portions were HUGE. It was a very good deal. There was nothing bad about the food at all. It just wasn’t stellar.
The salad was great! Loved the crispy pita chips. The bread was plentiful however much of ours was burnt. We got the combination platter. It served 4 adults with 3 boxes of leftovers!!! The saffron rice was very good. It had a rich subtle flavor. The kafta was tasty however not the best I have had. It was slightly over done. The falfel was again just ok. It was a bit dry and the tahini was watery and bland. Chicken shwerma was very good. Moist and full of flavor. The giant pickle that was first brought out did not taste good however it sure got the table talking! Overall I would likely visit this place again if I was in the area however would not make a special trip out there to go.
