I am not the biggest bbq fan, my husband and parents LOVE this place though, so needless to say I am here a lot. Whether you like bbq or not, you need to get the burger, the big boneyard burger! This is seriously enough for 2 people, awesome meaty flavor, splurge the extra dollar or so and get the bacon and cheese– you will not regret it!

I flew in from California and before even visiting my family I went to grab a meal for carry out. As usual my food was amazing, hot, and fresh. Whenever I’m in Michigan I must visit because the ribs are the best in town!

Order a slab of Ribs for 2, and was very disappointed. The rib were over cooked and dry. I could have cook better ribs in my oven. It sad that a cook would even serve someone some garbage like that. I did call back and complain to the manager he offered to replace the, but due to it being 1130 and they closed at midnight I will cut my losses and order a pizza.

I normally don’t come here unless it’s for a special occasion which is normally father’s day and everyone knows it’s packed. This round my great little old aunt wanted to come here for lunch and I was surprised it was somewhat emptied since I never seen it like this before. Staff was very nice and attentive — made sure they were making there rounds and whatnot. Highly suggest coming to lunch instead of dinner — two reasons: lunch specials and less people. Food took about 10 mins and of course you know the food portion was still a lot even for a special. I’ll be returning more now. Happy ending!!!

Ordered carryout from here for the UM/MSU game. My friend and I went with the whole BBQ chicken for two, which was a great choice. The chicken was cooked perfectly and fell off the bone while still being juicy and loaded with tons of flavor. It didn’t even need the BBQ sauce it was so flavorful on its own. The huge pieces of garlic bread were delicious and the chips were excellent with a little of the BBQ sauce sprinkled on. It also came with two good sized portions of coleslaw. The entire meal was ENORMOUS, and more than enough to fill us up with leftovers to spare. This was a ridiculous value at $ 16 — especially when you look at the prices at inferior chains such as Buffalo Wild Wings.

Came here after the Cardinals/Lions game for a late dinner. From AZ so looking for somewhere that was open. The staff was friendly. I was hungry and wanted lots of food. I ordered the Ribs and Chicken with a Baked potato. When the food came out, I realized I made a huge mistake. There was enough food on the plate to feed both of us. The food was good. The only thing I didnt like was the BBQ sauce was really runny. Im used to BBQ sauce being a little thicker. It was more like a hot sauce consistency. Thats nothing against the restaurant because apparently thats the way its done in the area. If I go back to Detroit I would eat here again. But maybe bring my own BBQ sauce from AZ.

The food is OK here. The ribs are not the fall off the bone type, but they aren’t horrible. The broasted and BBQ chicken are good and the jumbo shrimp are huge and tasty. Just don’t go in here expecting much variety. They really need to add fries to the menu and slice the bread you get with your meal a little bit thinner.

I haven’t been here in about 5 years and I was in the area so I decided to stop in since my favorite spot Vicki’s was closed today. First and foremost let’s get something straight they are only getting 2 star’s for there portion sizes and value. I ordered the Ribs for 2 at $ 24 it comes with 2 sides of slaw and a huge portion of fries or chips whatever you wanna call them, I call them under cooked and greasy to the max and the ribs are smoked but not in a way to break down the fats in the ribs and at least make them chewable, don’t get me wrong I like some give to my ribs but by the end of the second bone I got tired of chewing and they had so much fat that it just spoiled my appetite because they were just so tough but like I said they were big. So if your just looking to taste something that calls itself BBQ then more power to you but if you want great ribs go to W WARRENANDGRANDBLVDTOVICKISBBQANDSHRIMP.

Let me just start with the best of the best the ribs and the chicken. The ribs are sooo good, that just saying that they are good seems like an insult, they are fab and so is the chicken! Oh, and the BBQ sauce, hmmmm… really, just try it! My only complaint is the sides they are all just average. The fries they look better than they taste and the rest of the side are not even worth ordering. So, just order the meat and you will be a happy camper.

The older gentleman whom I assume is the owner was a complete and utter rude jerk. Mean to customers and his staff. They gave a lot of food but it wasn’t GOOD food, so why you’d want so much of it is beyond me. I had chicken breast, it wasn’t bad but it wasn’t good either. My husband had ribs, he wasn’t overly impressed with them either. We will never return here, despite its cool name. If you want GOOD, tasty, real BBQ… head to Fuel in Port Huron, or WoodChips in Lapeer… anywhere would be better than this place.

First time here wit a friend. We ordered the ribs for 2. It was unbelievable how big the slap was. They overflowed the plate. Very meaty. Their BBQ sauce was so good. It came with coleslaw, choice of potatoes, grilled buttered bread. It is well worth the money. We had a lot left over too. A must try for the rib lover

I’ve bee coming to this place since I was a little girl. Their ribs, sauce and cottage fries are still the same and very good. Rib preference is different for everyone. I like the type of ribs you pick up and nibble off the bone and that’s the Bone Yard! Their BBQ sauce is tangy, spicy and sweet. The best! We ordered ribs for 2 and it came with a full slab(they always throw in a few extra bones) coleslaw, a generous portion of cottage fries and garlic toast. In my opinion, it’s enough for 3 and costs just $ 22. I have never ordered alcohol here but I did notice they sell beer. Im not sure about other spirits. On another note, the waitresses and cashier were gorgeous. I think the place is owned by either Greeks or Armenians and the family works in the restaurant. It never hurts to be waited on by a beauty. If you like char grilled, nibble off the bone, tangy ribs… this is your place! I recommend the Dearborn Heights location. I’ve tried the one in West Bloomfield and it is not the same.

Great ribs. We always get two slabs of ribs and chicken wing dings. The food is very generous for a decent price. The taste is very homey, there might be a couple of better bbq places in downriver MI but this one tops them with the added nostalgia. Their sauce makes the ribs an exquisite taste!

The food was nothing to rave about. It was amazing in the portions they serve. Each person at my table that got cottage fries must have gotten about 3 full sized potatoes sliced up on each plate. It was seriously a mountain of potatoes with the main course tossed on top. The potatoes where mushy and greasy. They should look into finding a better way of cooking them or putting smaller quantities in the fryer at a time. I had a decent steak. I’m 100% sure it wasn’t the New York strip that I ordered… But the meat was cooked perfectly as I asked it. My complaint with it was the cook for excited with salt and pepper. There where piles of it in every other bite. The seafood combination platter came out with a generous amount of food on top of the mountain of potatoes. The fish was undercooked and slimy. The breading was soggy and cold. The signature item this restaurant is know for is the barbecue. The ¾ slab at my table looked nice, but ended up to be chewy bits of meat surrounded by heavy slabs of fat. The ribs certainly could have been cooked a little more to be fall off the bone delicious. Pulled pork sandwich was the most desirable item at my table. The sauce is very good and you get nice soft bites of pulled pork. The food overall was okay. It was nothing to rave over. The evening would have been okay had it not been for our waitress. She seemed like she was mad at us the entire time. She didn’t listen to us well and when she couldn’t hear our order she would rudely say,“well I can’t hear you.” I raised a question about the menu where it used poor grammar to describe what sides can be in each order. It says«or» and«and» about 4 times each in one runon sentence. I asked her if that meant I get a salad and a side along with bread, and she said,“I can add it,” as she quickly scribbled it down and moved on. From then on, she only came to the table to drop off food. She never asked if anything was okay, never looked at our drinks, and she really had no interest in coming back to our table after all the food was there. It was a bit comical to see her walked on the other side of the room looking at our table. She would walk the entire restaurant without checking in with us. Funny part here? We were her only table. She was peeking at us at the end of our meal from behind the waitress station with a puzzled look on her face. She asked another waitress to stop what she was doing to come ask us,” was there anything else you guys are waiting for?” The bill. With a group of two couples, they never asked if we would like to split the checks up in anyway. The bill came with everything together and some pretty crazy up charges. The lady who was ringing people out was the nicest part of visit. She was friendly and understood that we are not very happy with our experience. She took off the silly up charges for coleslaw and 4 drinks.(2 of us had water) Probably won’t ever come back here. I really wouldn’t suggest the place either.

The food in this place is a bit on the bland side, but the portion sizes are extremely generous. The cottage potatoes are mounded on your plate. The toasted bread is a huge slice. And the staff is usually very friendly.

My score would be a 4 and my husband would give them a 10. So it’s a 5. Ribs, the way hubby and I like them. You will have to work to get them off the bone — they don’t just fall off, it takes time to each them. Nice sauce with a good flavor. And the potatoes, they are so good. I do ask for them crispy. We order ribs for two, huge slab, with a few extra ribs thrown in, potatoes, slaw, bread and always have leftovers. Heck, it might be time to go back…
