The Black Boot

We wanted to give this place a try on the way through Green Bay, they noted award winning lobster bisque, a tapas menu, and live music which all seemed attractive. We were there on a Friday, the place was half full with one server (who was also the bartender), running around trying to juggle all tables. The wine list is decent, the drink menu is awful. Both of us ordered a drink which we ended up sending back for a glass of wine. We had to try the bisque, which happened to be amazing and therefore got this location one star. We also ordered an appetizer (bacon wrapped figs), which were mediocre and two entrees (salmon and mahi), which were awful. The fish wasn’t fresh and was precooked/​I personally could not eat it, my friend ate ½ of hers but only because she was starving. No music. Bad décor. Interesting brick boot revealed on the wall. I would not give this another try.

The Black Boot is a GEM! I was impressed with the excellent food, the wonderful wine selection and the amazing live entertainment. The staff was professional and inviting and the atmosphere classy and intimate. I would recommend The Black Boot with zero hesitation.
