Great free park in the Daytona Beach area. However, please note written consent must be sent to the town prior to allowing children under 17 to skateboard. Otherwise, my son enjoyed the park and the size of the park was big with many obstacles for tricks.

Best free outdoor parks in central Florida. Aside from the treatment plant smell on some days it’s the best park. Bmx friendly and good rails. Love this place and its good for kids. Holla at Mr. B’s in Longwood for all your bmx n skate needs. Thanks daytona for being one bad as park and city.

A Spohn Ranch-designed concrete skatepark in Daytona Beach, seated between a baseball park, the river and ummm. .. the sewer treatment plant. Well, at least it’s by the water and I guess where they had land! Because it’s Sphon Ranch-designed, we’re talking about a generous, $ 800,000 outdoor skateboarding facility here and what’s more, unlike the Sphon Ranch park in Gainesville, this one has night lighting and thus is open to around ten at night. The variety and quality of skate terrain is impressive, there’s a decent-sized bowl, handrails, stairs – good stuff all around. The local kids are pretty impressive too, really – you’ll meet some skaters here who really rip. Check out TJ Gaskill’s video on YouTube to see what I mean: To me, this is a great park but what really makes it is the night lighting and fact you can skate it after dark: it really extends the hours, especially in the summer.
