«Eek! Methinks not.» is a great descriptor for this. Now I haven’t tried everything on the menu, but my experience with the seafood Alfredo was terrible enough for me to give this place 1 star. It demonstrated a complete lack of pride in their work. Now, I don’t expect every meal I have everywhere to blow my mind, but this was so terrible that even a month later I’m still upset enough to write a bad review. So what was so terrible? 1. The seafood. I know we’re in Ohio, but to me, seafood does not equal imitation crab meat and shrimp that is so overcooked that you’re questioning whether or not it is actually shrimp. Even the time I had buffalo shrimp at Hooter’s, and they accidentally used the cocktail shrimp that still had the shells on and then fried it, was better than this shrimp. Other shrimp would be ashamed to say they were related to this vile excuse for shrimp. No shrimp that has been that overcooked(and was probably frozen and reheated multiple times) should ever leave the kitchen. Ever. And the imitation crab meat… I mean, it is what it is, but come on… if I’m paying $ 17 and have to experience shrimp that gives you an experience equivalent to waiting in line at the DMV for an hour… then the imitation crab meat does not impress me(although based on the rest of the dish the imitation crab meat was probably the best part). 2. The Alfredo sauce. I’m so speechless thinking about it that it’s hard to know where to even start. I have memories from when I was younger, eating Lean Cuisine Fettuccine Alfredo, while thinking about how awful it was, but it was only a $ 1 so by golly I was gonna eat it! BUTTHISWAS $ 17!!! It seriously tasted like the Lean Cuisine Fettuccine Alfredo. I don’t even know what else to say. Speechless, I tell you. Now, luckily someone else paid for this and it was a carry out order, because if I would have received that in the restaurant and been paying for it myself… it would have gone straight back to the kitchen and I wouldn’t have paid a dime. Like I said, I have not tried many other things on the menu(just a tuna melt with the bread supersaturated with some sort of grease/oil). But I think that if you have a restaurant and serve even one thing that is abysmal, then I really have no trust in their standards for food, to say the least, and if you have such a low bar for food, I don’t even want to think about where the standards are in regards to food safety and cleanliness. I don’t write this to be mean. If I owned a restaurant and I read a review like this… I would hope to take it as constructive criticism.

The other night my fiancé and myself enjoyed an excellent dining experience at Treasure Island. This is one of the last supper clubs in the area and is adorned with beautiful woodwork. We started our evening at the bar for a couple of cocktails as usual there was almost some pop in them, they’re foot stompers, which is the way we like them. We had our dinner in the dining room I had a full slab of ribs, they were outstanding as usual. I’ve had the scallops before and they are excellent, but I just can’t stay away from the ribs. My fiancé had just a salad and ate some of my ribs because the full slab is very large and easily accommodates two of us. We just love Treasure Island, it was well worth the $ 60 tab 50 for dinner and 10 for the tip, it is well worth the money, money well spent you will enjoy it.

I’ve never had a bad experience here. This place has been around for ages. The salads are huge, more meals than lighter options. The house dressing never gets old. Every hot meal is home cooked. Definitely get the corn fritter with maple syrup.

Almost everything on their menu is excellent. I will list some of my favorites: Steaks are top quality beef(Michaels Meats) out of Columbus Prime. 2 Sandwiches are outstanding burgers are great, ruben is very good and the breaded pork tenderloin is the best in town(not out of the box frozen) they use fresh loin not frozen and cut and pound to about 7″ in diameter then breaded with their own recipe breading. If not the best frog legs in town I havent had any better(they are made to order in their kitchen. Their salads are well known for their size and the amount of side ingredients(chicken shrimp and seafood. There is my only complaint they are using either a smaller shrimp its not a very good brand. They are a little dry or way over cooked. But over all their food is excellent.

I really enjoy this place. I have yet to find a place where two people can dine on filet mignon and prime rib, enjoy drinks, and have excellent service for under $ 60. Treasure Island has a gaudy/nautical feel inside with dim lights. Week nights and during the weekend you can find their usuals at the bar. What is neat about this place is that it has been around since the 60’s so it has some history to it. I can honestly say this if my S/O had never taken me here, I probably would have never heard about it. Oddly enough I walked in one night to see a few of my co-workers sitting at the bar. Lol. What is odd is that the hostess station is in the middle of the restaurant. If you can’t find it or do not see someone at the stand, a local will probably grab one of the employees for you. If you haven’t tried Treasure Island, give it a shot.

I really love this place! Servers are pros. The prime rib on fri/sat is incredible. Some of the food like a club sandwich is just average, but their specialties are top notch. Big portions. As for drinks from the bar, beer selection sucks unless you like Bud, but if you order a shot if vodka it is a full highball glass for $ 7. The woodwork is cool. It os definitely a place everyone should try at least once.

One of my favorite places to eat. Love the layout inside. It’s like stepping back in time. The seafood salad with the homemade house dressing is to die for. The shrimp and crab meat are always so fresh. The staff is fantastic.

I love this place. I was there the day before mothers day. A Saturday evening. Never been there before. It was old school. It was dark inside, very retro. Got the special prime rib. The best ever. Huge portions. The waitress was nice and attentive. No complaints. If you want to step back in time, Definitely give this place a try.

I would only eat here again for the novelty of the restaurant. Not all of the food is terrible, but for the price, it is definitely not worth it. The only really good thing I ate was bacon wrapped scallops. The crab bisque was 100% imitation crab and devoid of any flavor other than butter. I tried a bite of my husband’s salad with house dressing because he hardly ate any of it — the house dressing is all sugar. It tasted like a horrible thin sweet macaroni salad dressing. I don’t understand the appeal. My ribeye was super salty, a little over cooked, but not destroyed. The real problem was the quality of the meat — there was way too much fat and overall it was just chewy. For $ 23 I thought the steak should be better than it was. And for a person who loves all things potato, I thought the potato boat was way too dry. It really needs some cream or something to make the dish a little less like a heavy brick. My husband got the seafood platter and didn’t say it was overall bad, but he didn’t eat it all, so it couldn’t have been all good. He did mention the fried shrimp wasn’t great and he really didn’t like the crab in the shell thing — he said the flavor was off and it was all filler. I might go back another time, but it will be for old timey cocktails and ambience, not for a meal.

It’s ok. Nothing too fabulous. It’s been here for along time, that is the novelty of it. The place is very dark, normally not a good sign. The food isn’t bad, but it is over priced. If you call of a carryout order, the lady that normally answers is not the friendliest. I think with a few tweeks & updates it could be a great place!

We had never tried TI, but I am glad I did. The décor is definitely stuck in the 70s, but the food is very good. My strip was cooked perfectly and was a great cut of steak for the price. The salad with the house dressing(a sweat dressing) was good. The potato boat we good as well. For the price, it is hard to find a better place for a good steak.

My Dad and I were on our way to another restaurant for lunch, but as we passed by TI, he said«oh next time we’ll have to go there… they have the best salad!» Well, since I live in Atlanta and don’t have the opportunity to treat my 82 year old Dad to lunch too often, I busted a u-ey and headed to the place with great salad. As we walked in I thought«ok, I’ll suffer through this dining experience because this is what Pops wants». The place is dimly lit and could probably use a renovation but the people were friendly and the place was PACKED for lunch. The service was great and my seafood salad was so big that I could only eat 1⁄3 of it! My Dad made sure I had the house dressing… none of that low fat stuff. The dressing was very sweet but good. All in all, I have to say it was a good dining experienced(enhanced by the company of the greatest Dad in the world). I would definitely recommend it for lunch!

TI is one of our«go to» joints. The portions are perfect, the food is as it ought to be, the drinks are stiff, and I am transported back in time. My spouse and I especially enjoy dining in the bar area – the semi circular bar and sunken club chairs inhabited by all the regulars. I’ve had a number of items on the menu. 99% are excellent. For me, the pork chops and steaks are terrific. If you get onion rings, be sure to ask for the ones made in-house.

We visited from Maryland to attend a wedding and the Rehersal dinner was held here. We went in and were sent upstairs to the private party area. There were many glass covered poker tables with chips and cards from Vegas. One of the tables had $ 1000 bills under the glass. The walls are paneled and its like a step back in time. The surrounding area is the old GM plant and its kind of spooky. The ladies restroom up(mid way between the upstairs & downstairs) is in serious need of attention/remodeling. Two stalls. It looks like someone spilled a bleach bottle on the sink and they could use some lighting in there. They had a full bar in the upstairs and a couple of waitresses. I was very impressed with the service. The drinks were good and strong and plentiful. The waitress took our order which was a choice of NY Strip Steak, Chicken or Fish. Most of us opted for the NY Strip Steak. It came with two sides. I ordered a salad with their house(sweet & sour) dressing. It was delicious. I also ordered their twice baked potato which came in a small ceremic dish, topped with cheese. It was garlicky and cheesy… again delicious! The steak was huge, cooked to perfection(med). Some of the party finished theirs, but both my husband and I only finshed half and gave the rest to our Mother(in law) to take home with her(as we were staying in a hotel with no refrigerator). All in all the food and service were great… the décor outdated. I could see this being a hopping place when the GM plant was in operation and when smoking was allowed in restaurants. My brother-in-law also said that they had one an original NCR cash register in the bar. If I had the opportunity, I would go back. Maybe our next visit to Ohio.

I have always had decent meals and experiences here. It’s very unique to the Dayton area and doesn’t have the business like it used to when GM was next door. In my opinion, you get a good meal for a good price. It’s much better to eat here now that there is a smoking ban in Ohio. Definitely worth a visit.

Waited 2 minutes for seating in empty restaurant. Very dark/dim and smelt like an old nursing home. Very nice people though. I had treasure Island Burger which was huge but devoid of any flavor or seasoning. Wife had fried scallops which were small and likely freezer stocked. Side salad unimpressive. A+ on water taste and French fry’s, D+ on food. Same quality as fast food so safe your self an hour, tip, and overpricing.
