Typically the best restaurant in this small town, but so incredibly disappointed with the quality of both service and food. Our waitress Sarah, was helpful to other customers but short with us for no apparent reason other than we are in our twenties not sixties, but that can be overlooked. What can’t be overlooked is the fact they removed a buffalo chicken wrap from their menu! Who removes wraps? They won’t even make it for you, like it’s a complicated dish or something. I ordered a chimichanga which smelled like alpo and tastes awful. This place does have great deals and food is typically mediocre, but the fact I came here specifically for the Buffalo chicken wrap and then received less than ideal service and food is unacceptable. But it isn’t a bad place for good and if you are stopping by, stop in. I’m just very upset about my time

I’m quite surprised by the negative reviews. My wife and I have gone here for breakfast multiple times and the prices have always been tremendously low and the portions huge. I’ve always gotten great service here. You should definitely give it a go sometime. The food tasted great. Heck we spent 15 dollars for two full breakfast plates and I got linguica on the side and orange juice and coffee and my wife got biscuits n gravy on the side. Like I said a lot of good food for a little amount of money. First time we went there we were served food within 15 minutes of being seated.

Would advise breakfast only. Not a fan of food that says fresh on the menu, yet it is actually canned or frozen. Definitely do not know how to cook a steak. After all it is casino food. Not impressed with waitress’s attitude. The hostess was very pleasant and kind. Definitely a disappointment for your hard earned money.

Giving this dive that wants to be a restaurant a star is really too generous. The food is cold, the service is hiding in the back and comes out every now and then like a jack in a box. To be generous I gave this place a second chance after our bad dinner experience and decide to see how breakfast was. The breakfast service was better, but the food portions was for children. Their potato portions were probably measured with a quarter cup measuring devise. So I read where on reviewer sent their eggs back 3 times. Seriously folks, I have a certification in food safety management. Never send food back! If it is bad, not done to your liking then l suggest you leave. Oh and how can you screw up a hard egg 3 times? That is a big red flag. So in my opinion the Branding Iron is a pretentious façade with it greeter looking so official and taking you to your set. Well that is as good as is the service gets at this place. So have a seat, then just leave before you eat and have a bad experience.

I’ve been to the Branding Iron Café inside Pioneer Crossings Casino many times over the last three years, but my visits are getting fewer and far between because the service is lousy and the food is more so. No body enjoys what they do, the waitresses are lazy and unconcerned with promptness. The cooks don’t have any joy or pride in their food. We went tonight because our kitchen is in disorder til tomorrow, but I won’t be eating there again for a very long time for dinner. We had the fajitas… I haven’t had those in many months because the last time I ordered them the chicken was dry and drowned in salt. Tonight it was dry tough and tasteless, no seasoning whatsoever. It was dry tasteless chicken jerky and the food was more cold than warm, the cheese on the beans didn’t even melt… which considering it took almost 40 minutes from when the waitress took our order(an hour from when we actually arrived and were seated) to get our food just don’t work. Then, when we mentioned it to the waitress she took our plates back to be warmed and that’s exactly what was done… the plates were hot, but the food temp hadn’t gotten any warmer at all and the cheese still hadn’t melted. We couldn’t eat it, decided to take it home and see if we could make it edible. The veggies were ok, not hot, still crunchy but edible. But that chicken. And my husband said the rice was dry and hard. The hostess is new and very condescending to the older clientele. When my husband asked her to check and see how much longer it was going to be for the food instead of a polite response she gave him a short sideways«ya» and walked away. Another customer, who also waited way to long for their food(sandwiches) that were bad as well asked her for a comment card she said«we don’t have those here hun, check the players club». I know for a fact those are suppose to be kept on the hostess stand for easy access for the customers to use, but someone is always hiding them. They should actually put one on every table so the customer has easy access if desired. They should also have an email address available for people to send questions, comments or concerns but they don’t. It would be and easy add to the website… right under the phone number. Their excuse was«we were busy» but they are like this when they aren’t busy, so that is a totally unacceptable excuse… unacceptable even busy. They should be prepared for those busy times. Their food needs a facelift, their cooks need to renew their joy in food or be replaced and their waitstaff needs to be properly trained to handle those busy and unbusy times better. Food that is suppose to be sizzling hot should not be served cold!!!

Newer to the area recently we got a burger and fries to go, unfortunately the quality was very poor. Fries were stale and cold. Burger was not good. We will give them another try and hope that quality and service improves.

All-around average eats. It’s inside the Pioneer Crossing Casino — in the back corner of the casino, of course, so you can pass all the slot machines coming and going! Everything they have here is pretty typical for a casino café, or a Denny’s. It is kinda small inside, but maybe I should say«right-sized» because we are in Dayton, after all! I was surprised that they were packed for breakfast, though we only had to wait a couple minutes for a table. Not really much ambiance to enjoy or complain about, and the service was as average as the food. At least the prices were reasonable!

St. Patrick’s day dinner. Large portion of corned beef with cabbage and carrots was cooked perfectly. Our waitress was friendly and very efficient. Meal reasonably priced at $ 8.99.

Ok, first I really forgot that Daytona Casino was gone. No one really informs me about stuff out in Dayton or Silver Springs etc., but we were hungry and we needed to stop. So I saw Pioneer Crossing Casino(formerly Daytona Casino) and I remembered a restaurant inside. We walked right in to the Branding Iron Grille and were seated by Eugene. Shannon’s kid is a vegetarian and so is her friend. Eugene made sure that they were provided with a vegetarian meal along with bringing them an additional serving of asparagus. My omelet was very tasty and Shannon got the Blackened prime rib which for the price looked HUGE! Our waiter Eugene kept us all filled and he was on the spot whenever we requested something. Incredible service and not bad tasting grub either for the small price!
