A great little place to stop in for a little bite of sandwiches and sweets. I was on the street with my parents after going to the Wright Bros. Memorial across the way, when we decided to stop in for lunch. I didn’t know what to expect, but as soon as we walked in, we were met with a friendly greeting from the staff, and the atmosphere and décor was very fresh and welcoming. There were a few people there who seemed to be regulars. Food: I ordered the Chicken Club, upon recommendation from the girl behind the counter. It was one of the best sandwiches I’d had in a long while. It beat the heck out of Wendy’s or any other fast food joint for a very comparable price. The sandwich had real, freshly cut, roasted chicken, not the packaged stuff. And the bacon on it was absolutely fantastic. I loved that bacon, never tasted bacon like that in my life, and I’ve had me some bacon, believe me. The meal came with cheesy hashbrowns, which tasted more like cheesy potato casserole, but were still good. Very good, actually. My parents split the portabella mushroom sandwich, which they concurred as above average. My dad said that I probably got more bang for my buck with the chicken club, though. I tried their pasta that came with it. It was very delicious, and had sun-ripened tomatoes in it. My mom got the key-lime pie, and liked it a lot. I don’t think it was fresh; it might have been a couple days old, but was still good. The coffee is pretty basic, like you would find at any restaurant. Service: The manager/owner came out to talk to us after our meal, offer to-go boxes, and to see if we enjoyed our meal. She was very friendly and I told her I would be back. The girls behind the counter were also very helpful and nice in helping me pick out my meal.

The new cupcake place in Cross Pointe has some decent cupcakes. I bought 6 minis for $ 7.80, which was an OK price. I selected red velvet, buckeye, and another chocolate with pink buttercream icing. Two others were not ready when we were there :(Tasty, but not the best ever. The ladies who own it are very friendly and helpful; I think they will do well here.
