Very good. I had miso soup, salad with ginger dressing, a rainbow roll and a spicy tuna roll. Everything was fresh and tasty. Friendly and attentive service.

Sushi Hana is a good choice for sushi, but time stands still when you’re here. It takes a long time for you to get your food. While we were here, one couple got pretty mad that all they got in the time they were there was just the miso soup and salad. They wanted to cancel their order or take their order to go because they had to leave. So, with that in mind, be prepared to spend a long time here. Anyway, we found a few things we wanted off the menu, but they aren’t really offered anymore. For example they don’t have pork dumpings. And they no longer serve tiramisu for dessert. Besides that it was pretty easy to order the sushi items off the menu. However, it was more expensive than other place I’ve been to by double. For example, one order of salmon nigiri is $ 3 which is fine, but then one order is only one piece instead of two pieces. WHAT! Anyway, the sushi was good. I would come back. My husband like this place more than Akashi Sushi in Dayton. FYI: The four star rating has nothing to do with the the price of the sushi. LOL

One of my favorites in dayton for Sushi. The squid salad is excellent. The fish is always fresh. Great atmosphere and not too expensive.

Good sushi and the price was ok. A little on the«expensive» side for college sushi. This is what I call the rolls that are small in size. The chef specialty rolls were larger but the taste was just ok. The salad was tasty and the service was excellent.

From out of town. Having had eaten Sushi all over the Country, from NYC, Miami to Los Angeles, I was pleasantly surprised to find this near our hotel here in the Midwest. What the place lacked in atmosphere, it more than made up in taste snd price.

Pretty good restaurant but I wish they would do some more authentic Korean food on their menu. The bi bim bop is yummy, please think about doing some Korean soups!

I have been going to Sushi Hana for years and they consistently offer a great experience! First off, I’m not a traditionalist and I don’t enjoy getting miso soup and ginger salad with every meal. However at Sushi Hana I always ask to skip the soup and to have TWO salads! A number of sushi restaurants often have gritty ginger dressing that are way too overpowering in ginger flavor and sometimes it just looks like something crapped on your salad! The dressing here is smooth in consistency, and actually looks like dressing! The ginger flavor is there, but slightly. It has a nice zing, and I never tire of it! Food is always fresh and of the best quality. My favorite is the spicy tuna roll(deep fried, you have to ask) with extra spicy mayo sauce! This is often all I order and it hits the spot! But frequenting there so much has brought me to try other entrees: Kalbi, so good, charred and sweet marinated short ribs! Like it should be! Dol Sot Bibimbap– delicious Salmon Katsu– They use sushi grade salmon! It seems a sin to tempura batter and fry such delicate expensive salmon, but it’s not, it’s delicious! Fried rice– packed full of flavor sans dirty oil flavor. COLDSOBANOODLES– my second favorite on the menu. For the price it’s a great deal. it comes with HUGE order of tempura fried msc. And it’s so refreshing in the sweet summa’ time. And the service, ah, those ajumas really know how to make me feel at home. The restaurant is always clean. I’m sure they are always cleaning it. They’re always so sweet to me, and treat me like their kid! Hearts sushi Hana, you are home. The sushi ajushi’s always smile too(Hi Grandpa!). It all makes for a great experience

Had the fire scallop roll, and can easily say this is the best sushi around south Dayton. Very friendly, and easy but under decorated dining room. Knowledgeable staff and clean.

It’s bluefin tuna season and it is Super delicious!!! So fresh that it melt in your mouth. If you’re in Dayton Ohio area, the chef said they will have it for another month. It’s not cheap but it is worth of every penny! Strongly suggest you do it before they are gone.

We love this place. We followed the sushi chefs over from Sushi Café after it was purchased. The fish is always fresh. The servers are friendly. It does get crowded on the weekends, so we go on weeknights. I LOVE the ginger dressing on the salad. I know people roll their eyes at salad at a sushi joint, but the dressing is worth it. And i love dipping some of my rolls in the extra. I buy an extra container to take home. Some of our favorites are the Playboy roll, Wild Summer roll and squid salad.

We typically frequent Kabuki, it is our favorite in the area. We came here on a recommendation from owners of a high end sushi restaurant. My expectations were high but rightfully so… Restaurant was half full, we had a baby, and they tried to seat us at the bar, the initial service was slow, remember, half full. Drinks were fine, although my wife’s was never refilled. Pork dumplings came out unevenly cooked, and dry. Miso and salads were eh, but they typically are. The server informed us they were out of plates for the evening. I then asked him for forks and he never got back to me. I asked another server for a couple forks(remember, baby) she informed me they were out of forks for the evening. Sushi was delivered, looked gorgeous and tasted great, as expected. No server ever returned to our table from here. Amidst eating over napkins, we watched them carry out a stack of plates for cake for a birthday party at an adjacent table. Point here is, $ 40 for two rolls, two drinks, and four dumplings, should come with a pleasant experience. They know what their doing when it comes to sushi, but, I’ve never had a worse experience when it comes to service, even at a White Castle.

The rating is simply based on the service — the lack of service to be precise. Perhaps a father and 7 year old daughter sitting at the sushi bar do not merit attention on a busy Friday night for the staff but that is how you«earn» a low rating. Specifically, no refill on my hot tea; the ordered beer did not arrive; and no salad or miso soup was served despite a $ 40 sushi-only order. Sushi Hana removed the beverage charge and took 15% off the bill but I will not return.

Fantastic sushi rolls and choices. The spring rolls are great too. Probably the only down side(and not 5 stars) is service is slow on many days, I’m usually in on a Sunday early afternoon.

The more I eat here, the more I am just«ok» with what they are doing. Had the dynamite roll recently and honestly, it was just off somehow, which is not normal for this place. I still love the people at Sushi Hana, as I you are always welcomed with a group«hello» and smiles. Maybe the newness is simply wearing off of this place for me, but I have to drop a star for the moment. I’m sure I’ll be back soon for another try.
