Thought it was just ok, and that was before I found a huge clump of hair in the shower. Made me wonder about the cleanliness of the rest of the room. Outdated and no amenities. If I had paid about $ 75, I wouldn’t have been so frustrated. Definitely not a place I’d stay again.

I was disappointed. We requested an upper floor room and were give one of an adjoining set on the second floor. It was very noisy. We could hear every word spoken in the room next door and the pipes in the walls played a high pitched sound whenever(including at 5am) the room upstairs ran their water. Definitely will not stay there again.

The room is clean enough but it is noisy. Traffic noise coming from the balcony door/window is pretty loud and I can hear the guests beside me almost as if I’m part of their conversation. They’re not being loud it’s just that the wall is that thin. This could prove to be a long night.

First, I must say that the bistro waitress and morning clerk were great. However, i saw evidence of racism towards another guest by a different clerk. Specifically, an African-American woman asked why a credit card on file was necessary and the clerk replied by saying«in case you steal something!» Also, I had major issues concerning what was offered on the website and what was really available(the hotel had no idea that they had a deal for a meal voucher on the website). Goodness gracious.

The typical older courtyard the lobby has been updated but the rooms haven’t. The rooms are in definite need for a update. There are no outlets unless you start unplugging lights and alarm clocks and the are very outdated I have stayed on much more recent courtyards.

This is on the peak street of Dayton North Ohio. Lot of restaurants. it would be long wait, wherever you go — whichever restaurants– Pretty busy area. On other side of the street or on other side of the Highway or opposite are all the top businesses including GE Aviation one of the top manufacturers for US Air force. Breakfast and dinner available in the bistro. Full bar open in the evening. Located couple of miles from airport Indoor pool and spa 24 hour fitness center AMAZINGSTAFF :)(katie and lisa!!) very friendly and humorous but we cannot forget to mention about Scott, Jen and Breakfast personnel who worked on November 9 2014 NFL partnership so free popcorn on game days. Games on Big Screen TVs in library/business center Staff are amazingly nice. To mention few people are: Katie, Lisa, Jen and great person is Scott– he is highly enthusiastic. Normally men are pretty quiet, he is super active, super energy– he is amazing. he wants to always go out of the way to help out. I had a Great Thai9 –super thai restaurant recommended by him. Amazing. I am touched by his gestures. They do Food Pantry for Less Fortunate-so they have earned on Sundays to work without uniform. Courtyard have rooms with Balcony. Courtyard do have road closer to street. West end would be quieter.

We stayed at this property the weekend of the Dayton Air Show, so most of the hotels were booked in the area, including the one we normally stay at. Having said that, when travelling to Dallas, we usually stay at a Courtyard, so when it came time to make our reservation, we really didn’t think twice about the property. Courtyard: It’s good, right? Well, most of the time. We arrived around 4pm and the front desk staff were helpful and friendly enough, no complaints there. One thing I noticed off the bat was the lack of an automatic door at the entrance, making bag carrying a pain, but oh well. The lobby is modern and obviously freshly renovated. There is a market and the hotel«restaurant» The Bistro. More on that in a few. After check in, we head to our $ 145 room(this price is normal at this property, regardless of the airshow) and upon opening the door immediately thought W.T.F. I’ve stayed at Motel 6’s with bigger(and nicer) rooms! For about $ 150, you get a bed, a newish tv, a wall a/c unit and a patio. The patio is great, especially in the morning when you can sit outside and smoke and enjoy the nice early summer breeze. But I digress. There isn’t a fridge or a microwave, and the bathroom is slightly larger than my closet at home. The bed was comfortable, albeit difficult to keep made. I know I toss and turn a lot during my sleep, but every morning, I woke up and the fitted sheet was somewhere in the massive pile of bedding that somehow ended up forming at the foot of the bed. Oh, and for some reason, the mattress kept scooting off the side of the box springs. My biggest complaint about this property, however, are the paper thin walls. Remember I said the Air Show was in town? Well, this property was pretty full too. Our room is an adjoining room, meaning there is a door between the rooms to make one large room for family types. Of course, we didn’t need the door as the room next door was taken by another, shall we say, village. Every night you could hear them all laughing and carrying on. This would start around 9 and end sometime in the wee hours of the morning(after 3 am i can tell you with certainty.) The room door itself is lets lots of noise through. Both nights of our stay we had noise issues out in the hall… I mean to the level of what you would expect if your door was outside and the interstate was a few yards out. The staff was quick to respond to the noise complaint we filed on the second night(give them the benefit of the doubt), but shortly after the staff member left, the noise returned as the people in our room and the rooms immediately surrounding us who were all related, came back out and started talking and having a good time. So it goes without saying that sleep was elusive. The wifi has ok speed(3MB/s on a test), but nothing thuat can run Netflix or anything. Roku and like devices won’t work here because some IT genius figured it would be cute to make you click«I AGREE» whenever you connect. Perhaps they should just put that agreement into your checkin paperwork instead? Anyway, the signal is strong and doesn’t go out, so that is a plus. Breakfast. The Bistro. Ugh. First, I love hotels that have restaurants inside. It makes travel so much simpler. I expect to pay a little more for this convenience, but not a lot more as I don’t like being gouged. Our room came with breakfast both days, so on the first day we went down to the Bistro to see what breakfast was about. MOST hotels at this price point have a buffet or something similar. Not here. Here, you had a very limited choice of items you could have as part of your package, and all of them were extremely over priced. For example. For $ 10.99 you can get reconstituted scrambled eggs, frozen sausage patties, «fried» potatoes, and toast all prepared by the lovely Chef Mike(that’s a microwave for the rest of you). Total price to go to McDonalds and THEEXACTSAMETHINGPLUSPANCAKES: $ 4. And MCDonalds tastes 100x better too. The only bright spot about The Bistro was the staff member. She was cheerful(almost annoyingly so) and helpful and knew her stuff. In the end, I highly doubt I will return to this Courtyard anytime soon. Again, there are 20 hotels within spitting distance to the Courtyard many at the same price point that offer many more amenities, thicker walls and a real breakfast. I understand, by reading through other reviews, that room renovations are forthcoming. Be that as it may, unless they are significant and the room rate doesn’t rise to match, I just can’t justify paying the money for something I can get more across the street.

Room was damp, musky, and moldy smelling. Moved to another to room. We appreciated their attempt to find the appropriately bed arrangements for us for this evening.

Great hotel. I Pricelined the place and got a steal of a deal. I had to call to the front desk for a few questions and everyone I dealt with was extremely nice. Really enjoyed the pool. The balcony was great, but a little too chilly to sit out. Would have gotten five stars if hot tub was working and had free breakfast!

Great location close to the airport and lots of restaurants around as other Unilocalers testified to. Front desk staff was really friendly and helpful. Room was standard Courtyard. Jacuzzi was tested and I was super happy(relaxed).

We stayed here from Dec. 23 – 26, so that I could actually enjoy spending time with the family, rather than being annoyed about sharing one bathroom with 8 people. We got to the hotel right around midnight… and had to wait about 20 minutes until we were actually in our room. Why? Because even though boyfriend is «Platinum Preferred A-list Gold Club»(whatever they call it at this hotel), the front desk person went ahead and ran the end of the night audit WITHOUT first preparing the keycards for us. Brilliant. He also didn’t greet us. Or issue anything other than a mumbled apology for the lengthy wait. Or offer to let us into the room so we could at least settle in, and then return to pick up the keys in 20 minutes. When asked«Are there any upgrades available?» the guy says, «Yes, there are.» Then he says, «But you can’t have an upgrade because you’re staying on points.» That guy gets an F minus. We get to our room, open the mini-fridge to put the Flat 12(craft beer) bullet and a couple waters inside. The door falls off. The door to the mini fridge wasn’t attached at all, it was just leaning. We pull back the bed sheets, and notice the mattress pad is crooked. I remove the fitted sheet to fix this and notice… wait for it… it’s a twin size mattress pad on a king bed! Brilliant. At this point, we just want to switch rooms. The«new» room has a twin mattress pad too, but at this point it’s nearly 1am. The next morning, a woman walks into our room. She was about two-tenths of a second from seeing me naked. It was the housekeeper. She didn’t think there was anyone in the room because the winner who checked us in the night before didn’t bother to mark the room as occupied. The gym is small, like 3 – 4 pieces of cardio equipment. At least one of them was broken last time we stayed, and one of them was broken this time too. When we left late on the 25th because of the snow storm rolling in, the guy at the desk(different guy) was nice. The operations manager was also helpful… she got us a king-size mattress pad for the 24th. The positive? Balcony. Gym. Pool. Kind of nice décor in the lobby. Located near LOTS of restaurants, a couple bars, gas station, and a Wal-mart. Beds are not uncomfortable. Also right off I-75, at the I-70 interchange… so it’s close to the airport.

Although the only portion of the hotel that is updated is the lobby, the rooms are very comfortable. The TV channels are excellent(this matters when you travel for weeks at a time) and the staff is awesome. I almost would rather stay here then the Marriott down the road(they have a concierge though). Close to airport and restaurants.

Wireless was hit and miss, weak signal. However, the hotel staff were super nice and helpful. Also the café worker was really nice, I ordered my food too early but kept them warm until I was ready. Location is nice, has huge selection of places to eat and drink, plus highway access. Also there are some shops nearby.

Pretty tired. The desk clerk disagreed with me when I commented that this hotel would look better after the new Courtyard branding. Internet is so poor I had to surf on another hotel’s wireless.
