Wish the cheese on the quesadillas was was Monterey Jack instead of cheddar, but overall not that bad. Salads were good.

Surprisingly good food, great salads, fries are spicy, very friendly service, out of the way, but worth it.

My wife and I stopped in here on the way to Atlanta Motorsports Park.
We thought the food was good for the money. I don’t think I could find a burger at an independent restaurant here in Atlanta for anything close to what I paid at Scotty Dog, and it really wasn’t bad. I wonder if our tendency isn’t to give negative reviews to places that already have negative reviews. I wonder if that doesn’t weigh heavier in our minds than we think when deciding what to focus on in a review.
But, I digress — Scotty Dog makes a good burger at a great price. Period.

Holy moly! This has to be one of the worst places we have EVER visited. We stopped with the intent of simply having dessert, but the menu looked pleasing enough, so we decided to order a meal. Big mistake. Service was terrible. Food was inedible. And the place was dirty. We should’ve walked out. Let me list the problems:
1. Waitress never came by to refill the drinks. NEVER.
2. Wife ordered wings. Wings came out cold and rubbery… as if previously cooked and then quickly placed in a microwave to take off the chill of being refrigerated. Wife also asked for bleu cheese dressing with the wings. Waitress never brought that out, either, even though she was asked to do so.
3. I ordered a burger. What came out was a patty-​shaped charcoal briquette on a bun. The meat was black on the outside and dark grey on the inside… and completely dry. Fries were OK.
4. Trash can in the food prep area was overflowing with trash. This was plainly visible to everyone on that side of the restaurant.
5. The women’s restroom was amusing, yet oh-​so-​wrong. Firstly, there was no soap with which to wash hands. Is this the same restroom the waitresses & food preparers use? If so, they weren’t washing their hands with soap that day. Isn’t that a health code violation??? Another point of issue with the women’s restroom was that the two toilets were side-by-side…WITH NO DIVIDER BETWEEN THEM! What the heck?!?
6. When the waitress finally brought our bill (I say «finally» because she disappeared for a while… a very long while), she asked my wife if she wanted a box for her leftover wings. Considering that my wife had only eaten two wings and the great majority were still on the plate, one might expect the waitress to ask if everything was OK… but, no — she (the waitress) simply said «OK» when my wife said she didn’t want a box and walked away.
As we were walking out to the car, we met a couple that were about to enter the restaurant. We gave them the shortened version of our experience and suggested that they go elsewhere. They thanked us and decided to avoid the Scotty Dog.
I’ll often give a restaurant a second chance if our first visit wasn’t quite up to expectations… but our experience was so abhorrent that I will never go back. Never. The place should be shut down.

Tried the Turkey Bacon Ranch sandwich but got it on a hoagie rather than rye cause I don’t like rye bread. Rye should only be in your whiskey, not in your bread.
Onion rings seemed overdone and slightly greasy. They seemed like they were a new place still working out the kinks. I think it will be a good place to visit once they get through that.

Great place for lunch and a cut above the standard fare. Friendly service, reasonable prices make this a regular stop for me in Dawsonville. Good variety of choices, but it’s hard not to order the Pesto Grilled Cheese sandwich every time!
