We found Paul’s on Unilocal and enjoyed our lunch there. The chicken and dressing was just like my mama makes. The fried okra was the real deal, as was the potato salad and peach cobbler. I particularly liked the lace cornbread. A nice lady ran the cash register. They didn’t have a menu or prices posted but we got two full meals with tea and 1 dessert to share for $ 18.00. Highly recommended.

It’s been years since I had good southern cooking. Not since my Dixie born grandmother passed away have I had the opportunity to eat true, authentic southern food. Ladies and Gentleman, Paul’s is the place! From the green beans right down to the fried chicken and ribs, this experience was amazing from the first bite to the last. **CAUTION: Make sure you stack your plate high with the amazing lace cornbread, because you won’t be able to find anything else like it, anywhere around***

Great Southern food. Building run down but not the food. Great stop on way to Alabama. Dressing and chicken with gravy, fried okra and eggplant slices, field peas and turnips, plus more. Wonderful lace corn bread. Sweet tea. Yum.

Unbelievable! This place has been here all this time and I didn’t know about it. What a Southwest Georgia gem. If you’re in Dawson, GA around lunch time, you must stop in for a bite of some of the best southern cooked food you’ll ever taste.
