UC Davis The Buzz

Started in 2005, the Buzz is one of many UC Davis traditions to welcome incoming freshmen in Fall. From food trucks, tech booths to bungee jumping, they have it all! The event usually starts around 6pm and ends around 9pm-​ish with a huge concert on the Quad.
For foodies, you can enjoy various culinary offers by various food trucks such as Star Ginger
Krush Burgers, etc. There is a Jamba Juice booth selling small togo cups. They also give out free cold sodas out on the Quad! I noticed some of the prices can be pricey for what you get. The CoHo Coffee House also opens to sell treats and drinks.
For people who are interested in campus departments including Center for Student Involvement, TAPS, the Bike Barn, the Cal Aggie Alumni Association, etc, these booths usually give out free swags, or you can enter to play raffles. Sometimes, they have cultural activities such as drawing henna.
For students who like big corporations such as Amazon, Safeway, etc, get ready to line up because they usually have the longest lines.

— Visit the Buzz main website before the actual event:
— Come ahead of time aka before 6pm, so you have time to see which booths you want to line up
— Wear something light, but bring a jacket! There will be so many people so it will be sweaty hot!!!
— Bring lots of cash
AND… Ready to have FUN and collect loads of swags!
