I have dealt with Steve as a photojournalist and also hired him to shoot family portraits and my daughter’s graduation profile. He is able to get wonderfully candid shots of everyone – even teenagers! He is on time, professional and very reasonably priced. I would not hesitate to recommend him for any project or photo session.

We had the pleasure of working with Steve Rosenfield when he shot our wedding this past March. Before hiring Steve we had talked to a couple photographers and were never quite comfortable with what they were offering, which seemed to be overpriced, inflexible, generic wedding photography services. Finally my little sister suggested that we contact this guy she knew from Facebook. As an aspiring photographer herself, she had been a fan of Steve’s work for a while. I was immediately impressed with his website, and was actually happy that weddings are not his main speciality. I suspected that his diverse artistic background would lend a unique perspective to our photos and the entire experience, and it definitely did. At our initial meeting we had tea, got to know each other, and Steve showed us stunningly vibrant examples of some past weddings hes done. The photos were so colorful and ALIVE, from a quality of work standpoint we were immediately sold. But what sealed the deal was his kindness and easygoing nature. We knew how important it would be to feel completely at ease with the person charged with capturing such intimate moments. As an added bonus(and also super important) Steve was willing to contract for a partial day as opposed to only offering expensive all-day wedding packages, as most wedding photographers seem to do. We left that meeting totally excited that we had finally found the perfect photographer for us. The day of the wedding Steve got there early and took some extra shots of us getting ready, which was an unexpected surprise. He really took charge of the whole process, making sure that he got all of the shots I had requested in addition to lots of daring, spontaneous creative ones. A self-proclaimed«photo ninja», he was straight-up stealthy at the reception, and even got some great candid pictures of my extremely camera-shy in-laws. Several of our guests commented to us about how professional and friendly he was– and everyone loved the fact that he wore my bachelorette veil through the whole reception. What a sport. Guests were happy and comfortable and the proof is in the images. Our photos were delivered right on schedule exactly as promised. Looking though them, I actually teared up. I couldn’t believe those beautiful images were of OUR simple little wedding. Those many touching moments he captured are absolutely priceless. THANKYOUSTEVE, so very much.

I was fortunate enough to be able to participate in Steve’s «what i be» project when he came to Columbia University this spring. Steve is extremely professional while still being very friendly and engaging. He has a gift of making people feel instantly comfortable and at ease in front of the camera. His work is excellent, he has an excellent eye for getting a great shot while still keeping the integrity of his subject. I would gladly work with him again and I cannot recommend him highly enough.

Steve is an incredible person, making a difference for people in this world. I coordinated his visit in 2012 to a local community college where I teach, in order for students, faculty and staff to participate in the«What I Be» Project. Steve was friendly, super-low key in terms of his needs, and fun to be around. He was utterly professional, responsible and respectful of every person he met and worked with over the course of the two-day shoot and public lecture. His photography is top quality, beautiful. I would recommend Steve for any project!
