Their crepes are HUGE!!! They also decorate them beautifully!!! I got a banana nutella crêpe with whipped crème. Hit the spot. So glad they are on campus. They do not accept swipes, however. Its a bummer, but they accept Aggie cash, credit and debit.

The first thing you may notice about La Crêpe is how French it is — you can spot the French flag and it’s colors in a couple different places, they have Orangina(real and décor, look up!), there’s a poster of the Eiffel Tower — and fittingly, it’s run by a real Frenchman named Michel. That being said, you can tell that La Crêpe is genuine. Each chef cares about the customers and the crepes, which they all make with their own unique styles. I come here so often that I feel like part of the family :) As for the crepes themselves, they’re delicious. Quality is consistent, taste is magnificent, presentation is pretty cute! I always get the Banane au Nutella crêpe, you should try it! I’ve heard great things about their Kathmandu, and I have a friend who loves their omelette breakfast crepes. TL;DR: amazing crepes and sincere, down-to-earth chefs.

Delicious crepes both sweet and savory! They also take Aggie Cash, so it’s great for students with a meal plan. I’ve already been twice this month and I’m going to continue to go throughout my time here at Davis!

Eh it’s not too bad for an on campus location. I got the chicken pesto and it was tasty but definitely not filling at all. The price also wasn’t too cheap for the portion. Probably wouldn’t order anything here again.

I love that the chef is actually from France and he is fun to chat with in French! Best crepes I have had in America. This place is a priority whenever I am in Davis or on campus!

One of the better options to eat inside the Silo but it’s just alright. + THECREPES The savory crepes are not bad but more often than not, I find all of them to be really salty. There hasn’t ever been a time that I haven’t had to gulp down an entire water bottle to dilute the taste. I like creating my own crêpe, rather than ordering the ones on the menu. The wheat crêpe with chicken, mushroom, and spinach usually hits the spot! Personally, I like the sweet crepes a bit better. My favorite is the stranana(strawberry & banana) with Nutella topped with powdered sugar and whipped cream. It isn’t too sweet and the portion size is huge. I like watching the people make the crepes here and they’re usually very quick with creating your crepes. — THEPRICES Not the cheapest food ever but then again, the portion sizes are pretty big. Over these past few years, I noticed how they raise their prices more and more. The most recent time I’ve been here, a stranana Nutella crêpe was almost $ 9, which is a bit pricey.

La Crêpe is THE best place to eat inside the Silo. It is right in the middle of everything, you can’t miss it. I’ve been eating here for two years and I’ve never had a bad crêpe. Although I wouldn’t call it a restaurant, I would say that this cart serves incredible food at a fast pace. The food here may be a little expensive but the quality is legit and I am certain you will not be disappointed. The servers are friendly. They enjoy striking up a conversation and they give excellent customer service when needed. The Kathmandu crêpe is my favorite. It consists of chicken, mushrooms, cheese all wrapped up in your choice of a plain or wheat crêpe and topped with their special curry sauce. They give you some interesting pickled jelly on the side that compliment it really well. Next time you are at the Silo and want to eat something bomb, stop by La Crêpe!

This location is centrally located on campus at the silo. The Crepes are very filling and they have a variety of different fillings and options for veggie lovers as well. I ordered the Kathmandu crêpe, it has chicken, mushrooms, and topped with 2 sauces, a curry sauce and a sweet sauce. This is my favorite crêpe here that I’ve tried, the sauce is not too sweet, perfect combo to eat with the crêpe . The size of the Crepes are decent, well your money’s worth ~7 dollars and they make it fresh in front of you as you wait, fresh warm Crepes are guaranteed ! The staff is very friendly, during school the line gets kind of long and it’s about a 5 – 10 minute wait for the food depending on how busy they are. They tend to close early around 4pm, best advice is to go around 1 or 2 when the lunch time rush has calmed down.

It’s not exactly a full-on gourmet experience but I mean… it’s a tiny cart in an on-campus fast food area… In my opinion this place is the gem of the Silo(not including Shah’s outside). I’m a fan of both their normal and wheat batters(the wheat is a bit tougher but barely noticeable). They give you just the right amount of fillings(ratio-wise) but it doesn’t make for a very filling lunch. I don’t usually come for the dessert crepes though. In my opinion, the highlights are their savory crepes. My personal favorite is the Kathmandu. The only thing I’m not a huge fan of is their ratatouille filling. The main employees that run this place are all very nice. They also have a little camera + screen so you can watch your crêpe being made.

Surrounded by fast food chains and Shahs, La Crêpe is the sole«healthy» option in Silo. My go-to is a broccoli-bacon crêpe, which maybe defeats the purpose of being a healthier alternative, but who cares! It comes out relatively quickly and it’s nice watching them cook it right in front of you, but I wouldn’t say they taste particularly great. Portions are okay, but I usually finish still hungry, whereas a nice shahs lunch will leave me full and happy :) Need to try a dessert crêpe before I graduate though!

This place is just alright. I enjoy that they always make their crepes right on the spot so it is always served piping hot and fresh. I had the ratatouille crêpe and tried a bit of my friend’s kathmandu crêpe. Both were really nothing special to me. I was also disappointed by the crêpe itself. It was a bit strange that it was rough in texture as if it were made of whole wheat batter(healthy but not what I look for in a crêpe). At the same time, it was too soft and did not have crispy edges like a good crêpe should. I wanted to like it, but was not impressed at all.

The crepes are rather pricey and they’re just okay. I liked the sweet crepes better than the savory ones. Some times the line was long. Seems like it took them a really long time to make. Not really fast if you’re in a hurry to eat lunch in between classes. Well it’s either this or some greasy fast food from the Silo.

La Crêpe is delicious! A gem surrounded by crummy fast food. The chicken pesto crêpe is a fantastic savory crêpe. It was filled with the perfect amount of melted cheese, tomatos and basily pesto. People seemed to love the Katmandu, too. The service is fast and friendly and they have San Pelligino Aranciata sparkling water. A little slice of Europe in Davis!

My favorite Silo eatery!(Well, it’s a toss-up between here and Shah’s, but they serve completely different things, so it’s unfair to compare them.) Aside from the fact that the savory crepes are a bit pricy, they make delicious crepes and the employees are friendly. I am a big fan of the fact that they’re square and have«substance» and«filling» in every last corner. I’ve tried a Crêpe du Jour(mine had spinach, turkey, and mornay sauce), the Kathmandu. I was satisfied with both. For the Kathmandu, the chicken was well-flavored, as was the curry — the chutney a bit too sweet for me, but it’s served on the side so I just add as little or as much as I want. The Poulet Provencal is by far my favorite — it has chicken, ratatouille, cheese, and mornay sauce — so flavorful! Oh yes, they take Aggie Cash, too! So it’s a great way to use up the Aggie Cash left over from your meal plan.

Kathmandu with mango chutney is what I ordered. I would give this place a 3.5 but I’m sticking with 3 because Unilocal says 3 is «A-ok» and I like this place but i’m not a real fan because I don’t really come back that often. The menu items taste exactly like what they sound, and you dont get anymore than that. That is a good and bad thing, since they have no super unique thing to their crepes that get you hooked or coming back solely to them. I enjoy how they do have wheat crêpe as an option, and the flavor of the crepes are good. You get a good balance of flavors. It’s a good place for students to get crepes if they do not want to talk to crepeville.

If you’re on campus, and feeling like eating something a bit more classy for lunch, this is a great choice. Davisites seem to care very much about their food, and others have repeatedly mentioned that this place is the only one in the Silo not run by Sodexho, a huge chain-food-conglomerate-evil-empire thing that the hippies don’t like. Even ignoring that fact, it’s the best food in the Silo, if not the best on campus. I’ve tried a variety of different lunch-like things here, and have had only positive experiences. You can’t go wrong with their Chicken Pesto. The service is fast, and the French dude is awesome.

I’ve only had the strawberry crêpe and the strawberry belgian waffles. Delicious :) The owner is French and has a French accent. Ooh fancy. He’s very nice as are his staff. I like grabbing an Orangina with my crepes/waffles too.

CrepeMan!!! hahaha, I dont know his name, so I just call him«crêpe man»! Back in the day. Instead of eating at the dining commons like most freshmen. I came here everyday for lunch. Yes, Everyday! Thank the lord for Aggie Cash because I would have been broke by now! I dont know why, but their cheese makes me feel sick, so I get the crepes without cheese. I normally get my usual. pesto with mushrooms and onions! Its pretty damn good! It no longer fills me up though… FINALLYGROWINGUP!!! Well. I dont have much in the crêpe. Alaine’s(?) Avocado: TRYIT!!! TRYIT! TRYIIT! This crêpe will defnitely fill you up. I can never finish this crêpe. Their Specials: Huge! Lots of cheese! usually around 7 bucks. but yummy! Tomato, pesto, cheese: delish! Their turkey is a bit too salty for me. I am not a big fan of rosemary, so I dont LOVE their rosemary chicken. I do believe that people will like their rosemary chicken just because it is tasty and complements well with many of the CrepeMan’s grub. All their desserts with Nutella is the bomb diggity, no doubt about it! Anyone who visits Davis or goes to UC Davis should definitely eat here! Yes, prices are up there. but you pay for what you get! CrepeMan is always talkative and always asking his customers how their day was or how their midterms went or if the party was cracking for you on Saturday night… Enjoy! :)
