Deerfield Restaurant and Pub

Stopped on a Wednesday for their half price wings which were very meaty and the hot sauce had a good flavor. Also got a large plain pizza to go very cheesy and good. Did not try any of their entrees had limited (3) draft beer choices all locals. Bartender very pleasant and service was quick.

Ordered steak and pasta, fresh food and modern take on classic dishes, service was wonderful, number one choice if staying in the Canaan valley resort area.

There isn’t much in Canaan Valley as far as good food options are concerned. As such, when staying at the Canaan Valley resort we almost didn’t venture out, thinking that nothing ‘in town’ was worth the drive. However, at the last minute we decided to try out the Deerfield Pub. We are so glad we did.
This was definitely a locals night, and there were several groups enjoying pizza and beer in the bar side. The dining area itself was empty.
Service was prompt, friendly, and informative. My boyfriend and I ordered a couple craft IPAs, the (in house) smoked salmon appetizer, and he got the chicken sandwich for dinner while I got the ribeye steak. Everything was EXCELLENT and reasonably priced. Our server was friendly and informative and overall, we had an incredibly hospitable experience. Should we come back we will definitely stop in.

Great food and very friendly staff! Everything we ordered was delicious but the crab bites don’t compare to Maryland crab cakes. I totally expected that but had to try them after it stated that people from Maryland would like them (I’d quote what they say in the description but I can’t remember their exact words since we went there last week). Put some old bay on those bad boys and they’d be reallyyyy awesome! I’d still classify them as good without the old bay though. Their steak salad was huge and amazing with delicious, fancy lettuce and our drinks never reached the bottom before we were greeted with another. It’s a great place to go for some great food, great service, and awesome atmosphere! I definitely recommend!!!

Terrific food and very kind, friendly people! Terrific fresh, perfectly seasoned burgers, excellently seasoned fries, fresh salsa. Amazing port cake for dessert — don’t miss it! Very reasonable too — we would’ve paid double for the same meal in New York. Will be back for our next visit!

If chemically-​sweet canned tomatoes, gummy pizza crust, bones in your pizza, and awkward service is your thing, this is the place for you.

Super friendly people and great food! Burger was huge and delicious. Dessert was great and they donate all of the proceeds to an unfortunate family. The ONLY down side is that they don’t open until 5.

Everything was good. Wings, fries, mozzarella sticks, burger (wife loved the burger). Service was really good. Manager and server worked together while reasonably busy. Prices were okay. In Canaan this is one of the best options. Nothing truly spectacular but everything was very good. Went with 5 stars because lack of other options in the area. I would/​will return. Small menu. Pizza looked good. Try Deerfield and Sirianni’s while in Canaan/​Davis/​Thomas area.

By far the best place to go here in Timberline for Great Hand Tossed Pizza, Wings, Subs, fresh salads, beer and Wine. This is where the locals go and hang out. Great atmosphere backed by great service. Trust me… we have a vacation home here in Timberline and this is where we take our family and friends every weekend after a day of skiing. 5 stars… not because it’s the best… but because it IS the best when your here in the valley.

Fabulous burgers! Pizza is excellent with the hand tossed crust. Fun setting for a night out!
