Amazing coffee. Definitely one of the top 5 places to get coffee from in Davis. They’re on campus, too, which makes it that much more convenient — there’s the Silo, the CoHo, and this place. It’s a whole triad of caffeinated goodness. Cargo Coffee is very expensive but that’s what you pay for convenience. I think someone told me that they were free-trade too, so no human cruelty went into your cuppa joe. Clean conscience, and all that.

You go here because you’re on campus, in class, and on a break. You don’t go here because the coffee is way over-priced and because the new staff is SO slow and rude that it defeats the entire purpose. Do something good for the world and get coffee at the Memorial Union café. It’s run by undergrads in work-study programs and the coffee is inexpensive and great. Also, it’s a lot faster and friendlier.

Awful coffee that is always filled with grounds. Always out of coffee by 10:00 am and have to ask them AFTER purchasing coffee whether they are brewing anymore. Also out of half and half in a daily basis. Lastly, since changing ownership. the employees are rude and are oblivious.

A bit pricey and the food is generic, but the coffee is actually pretty decent and it is right next to the law school. There is also a hipster-looking guy with glasses who works there and happens to make amazing lattes, complete with the pretty design on top. Not bad for a place that serves coffee in paper cups.

To be honest I have not tries every single thing on the menu. I’m not much a fan of pastries and baked goods but the coffee here is very delicious. Hazelnut and Nordic coffee are my favorite and definitely keep me awake for those heavy morning classes in Olson. The only downside is that it’s a bit pricier than coffee or other drinks at the Coffee House but it’s affordable for the every day college student.

If you need a good cup of coffee and your by Olson or the science buildings this is the place to go. Good coffee and pastries at typical coffeehouse prices. I would rather go here than go to the co-ho any day. The service is pretty good but you can be waiting for a little bit if there is a line. If you need coffee to get through the day you need to come here.

In the past, this was a great place to eat and get decent coffee if you didn’t want to walk all the way to the CoHo or Starbucks at the ARC. Now that the new Starbucks has opened inside the Silo, I’m not sure how much longer this place will be here. On top of that, Cargo is relatively expensive when it comes to coffee and is REALLY expensive when it comes to sandwiches. The bread was absolutely stale, the sandwiches are pre-made(compared to the CoHo’s made-as-you-order system) and the spread choices don’t even complement the other ingredients. A disappointment to eat at and a salvation for coffee if you don’t mind the high prices.

Ugh… damn the fact that I’m too lazy to get up early enough in the morning to make my own coffee… I have to resort to Cargo for my caffeine fix. It’s nice that it’s right outside the school so that I can quickly get what I need before class starts. The coffee is just OK. But holy crap, what’s with the prices that do not seem to have a limit on how much they can go up? The price went up 10¢ within a few months…2.25 for a small and 2.60 for a medium. :(

Agh. My heart breaks. Cargo has great cofffee but what’s with the $$… Spent 5 $ on a medium latte yesterday. So sad :[ But it is much more convenient than the coho if you are nearby Olson and the library.

A much needed place near the building on campus that I work in. For years they were kept from opening because of some coffee hater dean. Now we won! I can walk outside and get a ham and cheese croissant and a fresh cup of joe. They serve organic fair trade shade grown coffee and are a part of Grounds for Change. Grounds for Change is a member of 1% FORTHEPLANET. Check out I always feel so awkward asking for a large Columbian. «No one like that works here.» «HARHAR buddy. I meant coffee.» Anyway, right now I’m enjoying a medium/dark Nicaraguan… coffee that is. And I think one of those baristas really likes me. It was just the way she said, «Room for cream?» Yeah, she was totally flirting with me.
