Harvest Cafe

We had breakfast there a few times, it was okay. We went there today for lunch and our server made us feel like we were a burden. She was rude and our burgers were on the verge of going bad. In fact, besides the lettuce, tomato, and onion on the burgers I don’t think any of the food is fresh. All is frozen. We were afraid to even say anything about it, so we won’t be going back there again.

Horrible. The place is always filled dirty tables. The owners are the worst, not friendly or helpful. The food is CHEAP and the taste reflects that. Weak coffee that they only fill up halfway. I would not recommend this place to anyone. Find anywhere else!

I’m giving this 2 stars because the waiter was really nice and the decorations are cute. But the food was horrible! Like god awful! I had the biscuits and gravy and eggs and sausage and nothing was good! The eggs tasted like plastic (how do you mess up eggs?) and the gravy had no flavor at all! Never again

The first time we went here I was extremely happy with it and gave it five stars! Yet the second time I went there we had three boys with us, Took us a few minutes to sit down with all the dirty tables they didn’t have time to clean them and set the guest that were at the door. (problem one: get another bus or do you be able to move more tables)
After we finally got that we waited there for 11 minutes (I was on a call from the time we sat down still someone came to the table) finally when he came to the table he took our orders and left… Food came out pretty fast within 15 minutes maybe. Good was good as always… It seems like they have three servers working the whole restaurant. Every time we go here they’re always in the weeds. Tables are always open and dirty. If they put more stuff on to be able to turn tables faster and make more money! We will not be going back here. This was something we did every Sunday after we got done working out we went and had a nice light breakfast, but we will go somewhere else the wait is just way too long!

Despite the bad reviews I gave it a shot and met a friend for breakfast. The service was quick but the staff were not overly friendly. Nice, but not «welcoming». The place seemed clean and it was kind of empty for the morning. Now for the food:
The coffee was weak and watery. The Cheese and Egg Omelet were tasteless. I am not sure how you can make eggs and cheese not taste good but there was no taste at all. I tried it. I didn’t like it. I’m not sure if the owner knows about Unilocal or reviews but he/​she could sure benefit from reading the ones on their restaurant.

All the food we ordered was reheated and disgusting. I have never been to a breakfast place that couldn’t make fresh, simple, dishes like pancakes and eggs.

The service was really slow. Coffee was weak. Ordered chocolate chip pancakes and they were interesting. It looked like they put chips on ready made pancakes. Would not recommend.

I walked into harvest café looking to get just a cup of coffee. I waited awhile by the wait ro be seated sign and the worker just kind of ignored me. I guess the story he was telling was way more important. Severall people looked my way but nobody offered service so I decided to leave. It was immediately uncomfortable when i stepped in but i tried to give it a chance. I’ll never go there again but hey, maybe they have good food/​service someone else.

Didn’t even get asked to be seated while I waited almost 10 minutes for the cashier to slowly ring up two customers. Afterward, she seated the couple that walked in after me. I was utterly blown away.

A two star review might be a bit harsh. However, if I was asked to recommend a diner in the area, this would not be the place. It is certainly cheap! Four of us ate breakfast here for $ 28 which is a lot less than it usually costs. Sometimes though, it is just worth it to pay for quality.
First of all, the place looks really sad and dingy. I really did not find it to be a pleasant atmosphere to eat in. Service was adequate. It took a little while for us to be acknowledged, but once we put our orders in the food came out rather quickly.
My Tuna Pita was adequate. If you order it make sure you like onions as it was full of them! My husband’s omelet was on the smaller side and could have used more cheese. 11 year old’s waffle was weak. It did not taste freshly made and they did not offer any toppings to go on it.
I would say stay away unless you want a really cheap diner. Otherwise there are so many other better options in the area: Flashback, Tower, Blue Moon. They all are more expensive but have much more extensive menus, seem much cleaner, and have tastier and better quality food.

This place is a good little spot for breakfast. They are only open for breakfast and lunch. Good home cooking if you like that sort of food.

The food is good and I like the atmosphere, but the people working here are really slow. My other half and I have been coming here for awhile but the service clouds the good things about this place. Out of the several times we tried this place it has shown consistently bad service. The people may be nice but waiting 10 minutes for someone to acknowledge your existence and then taking forever to get back to you to order is just silly. If it wasn’t such a comfortable place we would have given up a long time ago, but today was the last time. We have crossed this off our places to eat.

Good breakfast with a large variety of items on the menu. Staff and owners are really nice. Reasonable prices. This is my new breakfast spot.

Harvest café is a small homely restaualrqnt off of Stirling Road in Sterling Tower Shops. When I walked in I had to wait a few minutes before being seated however I was greeted. Then I sat at the table and I waited a few minutes before I was greeted there also. Finally Marie came over to wait on me and took my order but she was in a rush and was not very friendly. I ordered coffee with cream and Splenda and eggs with corned beef hash homr fries wheat toast for $ 5.99. When I ordered my coffee I asked if they had splenda as there is not any on the table. They do and my coffee was delivered.. Without the Splenda so I had asked for it again. I really don’t understand the delay in service there’s only about 10 people in the restaurant and there are a few waitresses. However for the price, convenience and good food I would probably give it another shot!

This place is great for breakfast and lunch. Food is good, prices are good and it’s friendly for the kid.

Sorry, Harvest Café. I tried. Twice. I wanted to love you — after all, I NEED a breakfast place in my life. But no, you are not it.
Waffles — waffles are not difficult. Waffle iron, basic mix, 3 minutes tops. But my waffles were cold. Then they were microwaved. Then when I asked for a new one, they were microwaved to the point that one side was soggy and the other side was hard. I don’t know if too many were made the day before, but I expect my waffles to be made to order. Is this too much to ask?
So mom and I go a few weeks ago, and there it is. On the specials menu — caramel apple french toast. I inquire with a «What are they made from, and is it any good?» She says yes — they are made from apple bread and warm caramel apples.
HA — NOT. They are made from cinnamon raisin bread and apples MICROWAVED with these weird caramel balls that — get this — DID NOT MELT. So I tried them by themselves — GROSS.
And how long did they take to come out? 40 freaking minutes. Really, were you picking the apples? Upstate? Come on. I would love to come here on a day the microwave is broken to see what they can REALLY cook.

For a quick good breakfast. Staff are extra friendly. Food is good. You can spend almost the same amount at DD or you can have a home cooked meal.

harvest used to be on griffin in cooper city. i liked the flavor of the old place and wish they had stayed and rebuilt that location. i don’t think they have the same traffic at this one. sundays used to be early morning bikers and church traffic. it was great. my pastor is the one who tipped us off to go here.

A nice clean café for a quick breakfast. The waitress was nice and my order didn’t take too long.
Food quality was good for a reasonable price.
