Very friendly and helpful service, and good appetizers. Definitely recommend the shrimp scampi! The live music was a welcome touch, and it blended with the atmosphere wonderfully. I would definitely come again!

Unfortunately, this restaurant did not live up to the reviews I read. The chef forgot to dress our salad. After waiting 35 minutes for it to come out(with only one other table occupied) it was surprising. Then, my guest received shrimp on his very small Caesar salad instead of salmon as he ordered. The salad was almost the size of a side salad at the price of an entire salad. My pasta was bland and unimaginative. When I went to pay my bill, someone who worked there was going on about how they were going to «bug bomb» the restaurant. Very unappetizing. I won’t be back. What a shame. We could really use a more upscale restaurant in the Village.

We don’t live near Davenport, or we would go to Ubriaco’s all the time. We had lunch at Ubriaco’s on a Saturday while passing through the area. The food at Ubriaco’s was absolutely delicious! I ordered fettuccine with chicken that was to die for! Honestly! My husband ordered lasagna and absolutely loved it. Despite being married to an Italian, I personally don’t care for Italian food. So, for me to say that my meal at Ubriaco’s was delicious is a huge, huge compliment to their chef. And, no, we’re not friends or family. The restaurant was clean and casual. The waiter was very pleasant. We live near Chicago, so we thought the prices were very reasonable, especially in light of the huge portions. The next time we are driving somewhere, I will try to time it so we can have lunch or dinner at Ubriaco’s.

I always enjoy finding a new place — I love Italian food — and was very excited about having lunch here. There were several problems… It was 1:00, but they were not busy. We were not greeted at the door, and when the lone waitress finally came to our table, she was pleasant enough, but completely clueless about the menu. I asked about the Italian Wedding soup, and she said it had macaroni and little meatballs. Not dissuaded by her lackluster description — I ordered the soup and the Muffuletta sandwich. She asked if I wanted french fries. Me, «that’s an extra $ 2 charge?» Waitress: «I don’t think so.» Me, «that’s what it says on the menu.» Her reply — «well, I don’t think they charge everybody.» I should have taken that for a bad omen… Oddly — the sandwich came first. The Muffuletta was a huge disappointment. The bun was small, but decent enough(not the Focaccia it should have been served on). But instead of salami, ham and mortadella — they used sliced sausage, and BACON? — and because the sandwich was hot, it was very greasy. The biggest problem was that there was absolutely no olive salad, just a smear of tapenade. Now — this might have been considered a tasty sandwich — but NOTIFYOUWEREINTHEMOODFOR A MUFFULETTA. It had almost no resemblance to the world famous sandwich from Central Grocery in New Orleans. The Italian wedding soup was served long after my sandwich arrived… and it was tasteless. A thick, brownish/gray gravy with a lot of raw kale laying on the top. I’ve eaten this soup in many places over the years — and enjoyed many variations. I’ve had it made with spinach, or escarole, or even endive… it can have carrots or celery, or not — orzo, or different small pastas — but the soup is ALWAYS A CLEARCHICKENBROTH. This thick swill had no flavor whatsoever, and the raw kale was bitter. The little meatballs were few and far between.(although — more tasteless meatballs would not have helped this soup). I sent it back. The waitress didn’t seem surprised… My friend and I were still hanging in there. Encouraged by the good Unilocal reviews, we were pinning our hopes on the Tiramisu. But, instead — this proved to be the final sacrilege. After 15 minutes(there was a lot of waiting, considering by now there was only one other table) — the waitress delivered an artfully prepared skinny little champagne glass — with chocolate pudding in the bottom, vanilla pudding on top, slice of strawberry hanging on the side, and four slivers of dry, crisp biscotti(or hard, stale brownie?) stuck in some whipped cream topping. The two tablespoons she brought were too wide to fit down into the glass… AREYOUSERIOUS? I said there was a mistake — we ordered Tiramisu. She assured me this WAS their version of Tiramisu. Me, «Tiramisu ALWAYS has lady fingers, soaked in coffee, dusted with cocoa, with mascarpone filling… this doesn’t have any of those essential players. How can you call it Tiramisu?» Waitress(giggling), «I have no idea what it should look like, I’ve never eaten it…» To her credit, the waitress did deduct both the soup and the faux-Tiramisu from our bill. But we still paid $ 25.00 for two sandwiches — which is a very pricey lunch. Although, I don’t mind pricey if the food is good. Sadly, this lunch was not good on many different levels… Honestly, I’m trying to be kind. If I was a mean-spirited person, I would have told you about their potato salad… P. S. The one thing they have down pat is how to get their family and friends to write favorable Unilocal reviews…

Ate dinner Saturday night based on a friends recommendation. Warm friendly atmosphere, staff very friendly, food was excellent! Hats off to Chef Ryan, Pasta Primavera was excellent, and my dates Mahi Mahi was very good as well. The Tiramisu dessert was excellent, we almost ordered a second one. We had a few martini’s at the bar before we left and the staff was very friendly, the owner Kyle made us a few drinks and it was a tie on who made the better martini, both were very good! Definitely will go back.

Excellent food, service, and great live entertainment to boot — what more could we have asked for? This is a charming restaurant in the quaint East Village that I would definitely recommend highly. Great date place, get together with friends, anything really. It is not overly fancy or formal, but very nice and cozy. The food we had was delicious — the dinner special and a pasta dish. Served freshly made and super hot. Appetizer was great as well! Our server was pleasant and available, but never overbearing(pet peeve!). So yeah, go here!

First time we have tried it. Everyone was very pleasant. The experience was good… best spaghetti I’ve had in the Quad cities. Stuffed fig apps were excellent, Walnut beet salad not so much, but we will definitely go back

Went with a group of friends and all 8 of us were delighted with the food and service. The appetizers were tasty and plentiful. Everything was very well priced and was presented in a lovely manner. A couple of the signature drinks were tried and they were delicious. I can’t wait to go back and try something different.

I took a couple clients here for supper and was very pleased with the experience. The craft beer selection was great! It was a full page(I’m not sure maybe 30 – 40) with a variety of seasonal, local, and imports. I’m not much of a scotch drinker but they also had a pretty good variety of higher end scotches and bourbons(probably 8 – 10), they had a wine list on the table but I didn’t even look. I had the pork loin with lemon caper sauce served with potatoes. The pork was full of flavor and the portion was large enough I took enough home for lunch the next day. This is exactly the type of place I enjoy. Local beers, friendly staff, large portions, great food, and good prices. The menu has a wide variety, which is helpful when you’re taking clients(or a date) so everyone can find something they like. 5⁄5 and I will be going back.

This is our 2nd visit to Umbriaco — the 1st time the food was good, but the service was very slow. Today the food was excellent. Expertly prepared. The Umbriaco burger was absolutely delicious, as was the salmon BLT. The duck gravy fries were much better than in our 1st visit, as there was actually enough flavorful gravy for all of the fries this time — yummy. Our server, Shawn, was excellent — friendly, efficient, and knowledgable. We will definitely return n bring our friends.

Went once and won’t return. This is the classic issue of someone trying to start a restaurant but not investing in the business. Lay out is poor and the atmosphere isn’t much better. I had high hopes of the food but was disappointed in that too.

The whole experience was out of this world! There is no other place that you can get the type of food you get here. Chef prepared, with great attention to detail. We had the shrimp as an appetizer, while we enjoyed cocktails at the bar. It was literally the best shrimp I’ve ever had my whole life! It was flavored with bits of tomato, and served with warm bread, oil & parmesan. Just delicious. The atmosphere was good — not so loud that you can’t carry on a nice conversation. It was just a great night! The service is good, and they don’t make you feel like you have to hurry so they can turn the table over. We both ordered the blue cheese encrusted ribeye. It was FABULOUS! Even those that don’t like blue cheese would like this — it doesn’t overpower the great taste of the steak — which is nice and thick and cooked a perfect medium. The ribeye is the most expensive thing on the menu, and certainly worth the cost. However, there are so many other things — the pork loin, the spaghetti with Sunday gravy, pizza — you could easily eat here for less than we did. The pizza we saw someone else eating looked fantastic. 5 Stars all the way around! Can’t wait to go back!

If you go to this restaurant’s website, you would think you’re going to a fairly fancy, fairly high-end italian restaurant. & when you get there the tables & chairs are nice & a nice tablecloth with a fresh lily or some flower. but then if you look up, the walls are covered with tvs and the restaurant itself is basically a sports bar. there is also a giant shark head«bursting» through the wall, i assume leftover from the previous owner. so the decorations are tvs, a shark, and nothing else, along with it being somewhat dark. i think this place when semi-full will be another very loud restaurant with the hard ceiling & floor. so considering its a sports bar that has a pretty nice big bar to it, i think the menu should be adjusted a little. they dont serve lunch right now, so theres no sandwiches on the menu, and theres only about 10 dinner items or so, but then a fairly large selection of appetizers, salads, and flat bread pizzas. if they want to be a nice italian restaurant they need to increase the number of dinner items. the other things are appropriate for smaller plates to eat at a bar, not particularly a full restaurant. the food that we got was good, the duck fries poutine was really good, and they have a good & unique free bread that comes with the meals, its kind of like a seasoned pizza bread loaf. they also have fresh brewed iced tea which is always a bonus. the mushroom flat bread pizza was good, other people had a couple different pastas but im not sure on the quality of that, i think it was good but not like outstanding or super-authentic italian. so in summary i think this place has potential and it at least has some good & semi-unique menu items & seems to be a decent quality of food, especially for this area which is mostly terrible chains or good mexican food. the main problem is the issue of wanting to be a nice restaurant thats stuck in a sports bar setting, and they need to increase the number of dinner choices. i would also suggest adding a 5 – 8 sandwich menu, or at least if they decide to open for lunch. they have a $ 28 steak dinner which I really couldnt fathom paying that price for a dinner at a restaurant with a sports bar atmosphere, the other dinners & items are decently priced anyway. so this place has some good points, some things which could use improvement.

It’s nice to have a new Italian restaurant in the Quad Cities – one that’s not as snooty Biaggi’s or as generic as Olive Garden. The restaurant has a wonderful location in the Village of East Davenport, in the space formerly occupied by Mound Street Landing. I liked the casual atmosphere but thought that it could have been better lit. It had a bit too much of a bar-feel instead of seeming like a restaurant. The waitstaff was friendly and patient, even when our group was being a little complicated. However, you could tell that they had not been trained very well. Our waitress said that there was an «open bar» instead of a «full bar,» and she did not know how to pronounce«gelato.» I ordered the Calamari and thought it was pretty good. I wish the chef had taken it out a minute earlier, because the bedding had gotten dark and was on the verge of burning. But for the price, I can’t really complain. The others in my group seemed to really enjoy their meals, with few complaints! I do have the tendency judge places harshly based on the appearance of their restrooms. The men’s room was relatively clean, but I was not too happy about the door was jamming. After fighting with the door for 5 minutes, I just waited until one of my friends opened it for me from the outside… really? All you need is some sandpaper and WD-40! The restaurant had only been open for a week when I went there. I do hope it gets through the initial growing pains because I feel like it has a lot of potential. If its still open when I come back to the Quad Cities, I will check it out again!
