Target

Being from the San Francisco Bay Area I figured we must have some of the nicest Target’s, but boy was I wrong. This Target was sooo much nicer than all of ours in California. Believe me the residents of Davenport are lucky. The grocery section must have been 3 times the size of all of ours! They actually had edible looking fruit, vegetables, and even meat! Unlike my Target where I can barely stand to even look at the stuff we bought all our vegetables here and even our meat! I never thought I would be someone to buy fresh ground beef and chicken breast from Target. but man this stuff just looked to good to pass up.
They had a great gluten free section which was perfect for my friend and I with celiac disease. I made all our meals and desserts for the entire week and was able to get a bunch of our items here. I was even able to get the Silk Cashew Milk which I was s excited about since I had not been able to find it in my local stores yet. Overall I have to give this store 5 stars since it did exceed my expectations for a Target.

Best store in the area. I go into this target up to 3 times a week and it never fails to impress! I have shoes, clothes, food, CDs, movies, and so many other things from here. They really have it all. The employees are also super friendly, and they have a lot of cash registers, so the lines are never long. ⁵⁄₅ stars!

I used to enjoy shopping at this store, that is, until my experience with «Gary» the evil old check out man who obviously likes to think he runs the place and can treat customers any way he chooses! First, he sighs and gives me a dirty look and starts rearranging everything I had placed on the conveyor belt — which by the way I had arranged to my satisfaction, thank you very much! — in such a way that my hairspray then rolled all over the conveyor belt. I then asked him why the jeans that were placed on a rack that says 50% off were not ringing up as the right price and was told that I had to buy and additional set of jeans in order to get the 50% off — well since this was not clearly marked on the sign, I did question it and that is when the real «fun» with the check out man began. He began arguing with me, continually threw his hands in the air at me, made rude comments to me, rolled his eyes — I have NEVER been treated by a check out person in this manner! I complained to the management, but was only told that they would talk to him. Where I come from he would be fired for treating valued customers with such disrespect! I have been spending upwards of $ 600 a month at their store — not anymore!

Target is my favorite one-​stop-​shopping ox store, and the Davenport Target is well stocked, clean, and easy to shop in. With everything from clothes to potting soil, my wife and I shop for most of our kitchen essentials here, and usually pick up something from the grocery section while we are there.

This is a really great store in the area. I favor it over the Target in Moline, and way favored over the Wal-​Mart in Moline (though I haven’t been to the Wal-​Mart in Davenport around the bend from here, I do love their gas prices).
They have a great ethnic food section for my Indian food cravings, and plus, unlike Wal-​Mart, they sell adult beverages.
Very good deals to be had in the entire store, can’t be beat for value and curb appeal.
