Marzano Pizza

Just as others on Unilocal said, very high quality pizza. We had Hawaiian, BBQ Chicken, Meat Lovers, Margarita, Sausage Pepperoni and Garlic Knots for pick up. A very happy group of nine adults and teens to say the least. If you like NY style pizza I highly recommend.

We ordered from our Condo rental off Sand Mine Road using the Unilocal app. The Unilocal app showed the pizza joint 0.6 miles from our location-​great especially with 2 kids!
My wife left to pick up the pizza and called me 20 minutes later stating she can’t find the location. After a few calls and further investigating, Unilocal has their location WRONG.
I called the shop and was told their delivery service does not include our condo… I was very disappointed as I could just taste the basil on my pizza (no other pizza joint offer basil). I told the clerk to go ahead and cancel my order as we just couldn’t make it to their location which was 20 minutes away.
A few minutes after hanging up, a gentleman called me back and said he was going to make an exception and bring us the pizzas. I don’t recall his name but he was very prompt and earned a generous tip for his effort.
Kudos to making it right with customers.
The pizza is pretty darn good too! The wings are meaty and tasty. Enjoy!

When we entered, the cashier was expressionless. The atmosphere was not happy at all. The place was very hot inside and the pizza was stale. The guy had a tattoo on the inside of his arm. The guy was sweating and wiped his face with his bare hands, he charged us with his bare hands, and prepared a woman’s salad with his bare hands. I asked the cashier if we had to order here (where the cashier was behind the counter) and he asked «What do you mean?» that question is not so hard to answer… My husband had a small cut on his thumb, the cashier asked if that was a cut and my husband said yes. When he finished signing the receipt, the cashier picked up the pen as if it was poisonous and threw it in the trash in our faces. He wiped another table and threw everything on the ground. When my husband went to use the bathroom, the guy looked down the hallway and into the office as if he was expecting my husband to steal something from the office, Sorry, but I’m sure that guy has some issues and shouldn’t be working at a pizzeria.

Every time I go to Marzano Pizza, I know that I am in for a treat. Their pizza is as good or better than most New York pizzerias. I know that because I am an ex New Yorker who had the chance to check out many heavy duty pizzerias. If want real New York pizza, go to Marzano.

My review is strictly for delivery, because I haven’t actually been into Marzano’s yet. It’s in a plaza by Publix and Crispers on Hwy 27, and I’ve walked by a couple times.
Ordered from Marzano’s the other night. I was told it would be about 30 – 45 minutes, which they did indeed deliver between that window. Left the pizza guy a pretty generous tip ($ 10 on a $ 18 order) for making it so quickly. They do charge a delivery fee on orders between $ 15 – 20, but if you order more than $ 20, there’s no delivery fee.
The pizza was good-​ish. The sauce tasted really sweet to me. Like, sweeter than normal pizza sauce should be. Not really a fan of sweet pizza sauce like that. They were also pretty stingy on the pepperoni. We ordered an XL pepperoni pizza, and it was like they count the number of pepperoni they put on it, because each slice of pizza had 2 – 3 slices of pepperoni on these huge slices. It wasn’t a lot. The crust had good flavor though, and I bet it makes delicious garlic knots! But, between the sweet sauce and the few light topping, I just wasn’t thrilled with the pizza. I did also order a salad, which was delicious and really well prepared. I liked that a lot.
The price was reasonable, I guess. I think if I had dined in or picked up the order, it would have seemed better since we had that delivery charge tacked on and then tipped on top of it.

Perfect pizza and awesome customer service. Fresh ingredients and the best tasting pizza I have had in years. Price was very reasonable. Food was worth way more than the price. Will eat here again the next time we come to Florida.

We just wanted to share with our first review of Marzano Pizzeria. It is located in the Publix shopping center.
We ordered three extra large pizzas and they were promptly ready in 15 minutes for pickup. The menu says delivery is also available, but we were already out.
The supreme pizza had very fresh ingredients and was wonderful. It was cooked perfectly.
I would highly recommended giving this new place your business.

Randomly stopped into this new pizza joint the other afternoon and am very glad I did. I’m originally from New England and tend to be a bit of a pizza snob, not to mention most of the pizza I’ve had down here in Florida is mediocre at best. Most are just cheap ingredients thrown onto some frozen dough and thrown into an over for x amount of minutes and then tossed into a box. I could tell that these pies are made with quality ingredients and attention however, and if you’re in the Davenport/​Haines City vicinity I would highly recommend checking these guys out. I couldn’t see anyone not loving this place. They’re also very reasonably priced, making this what I would easily consider one of your best bets for pizza in the region.
