Still the freshest and most creative sushi and rolls around. We come every year when we visit the area… just awesome!!!

Best lunch deal in town!!! Bento boxes are to die for! It is rare to find a crunchy but light tempura, and the soft shell crab is surprisingly fresh tasting. To get a great, full bells & whistles lunch for under $ 10 is amazing. I was so glad to see after not being there for a while that they had a full lunch crowd!!! They should keep up the great work and I’ll keep coming back!

This is probably the best sushi in the area. The rolls taste fresh. The prices are incredibly reasonable. They really do a fine job in the amount you get and their presentation is spot on. If anyone’s in the area I would have to say, you have to drop in. You won’t be disappointed. Dōmō Arigatō, Mr. Robato.

If you’re looking for mediocre fish and awful service– look no further! I hope you’re in the mood to sit awkwardly in an unfriendly environment while Cartoon Network plays loudly over a tv. If I had to choose between eating here and never eating sushi again, well I guess I’d really miss spicy tuna rolls. :(

Local spot. I’ve been coming here for years. Family owned restaurant. Extremely humble and genuine staff. If you’re looking for a quick and reasonably priced bite to eat, Kumo is the place to go. Definitely a must if you’re trying to shy away from tourist populated areas. Five stars!

Really low grade Sushi with poor quality fish. Not nearly as edible as the grocery store sushi at home. Hibachi was edible, but«sea scallops» seemed much more like bay scallops.

This looks like a small mom and pop place. The waitress was attentive but not friendly. The place is usually empty. The rolls are cheap but are small. They don’t give you much rice in the roll. I’ve had much better but for the area there’s nothing else so I settle for this place unless I happen to be out of the area. The tea is fine but the soda tastes like they have a bunch of old SAMs club 2 liters in the back. I see some other review pictures of these perfect rolls well in the 3 times I’ve been here they are always small and sad looking but at least they taste good. This place will do until something better comes along.

The server was ok, felt as though the sushi chef was more attentive than the server though. He was very friendly, and asked how we were doing. The sushi came out promptly. The sushi was good but one roll was falling apart every time i picked a piece up and one roll the nori seemed old. But that didn’t reflect on the taste lol sushi was still good. We’ll be coming back here. Plus it was all reasonably priced :)

Looking for great sushi in the Davenport area? Look no further than this sweet hole in the wall sushi restaurant! I absolutely love it here. They have a lot of variety for rolls and what I like is each roll is different in some way. They vary from something so simple to an elaborate roll. I love the crazy roll which is basically a California roll topped with salmon but my absolute must have is their pink lady roll. It’s a huge roll stuffed with grouper, crab and veggies. Honestly it’s the biggest, widest roll on the menu. Everything is put together meticulously but efficiently. I’ve never had to wait long and the presentation is clean and simple. I love that from 2pm to 6pm they do a «happy hour» that consists of buying two rolls and getting one free. This is great because three rolls are enough for my husband and I to fill up on. The portions are large, fresh and the price is very reasonable. I normally do take out but I have eaten inside before. It’s very quiet, tiny but clean with a tv mounted in the corner. You can sit at the tables or the bar to watch as they build your order. It’s family owned and everyone is incredibly kind whether you’re dining in or picking up.

Tasteless boring sushi. The squid was good though. Best of luck.

Very easy going atmosphere! Great food and friendly staff. Is it high end? No. But not everyone wants high-end. If you would like clean tasty Japanese cuisine at a reasonable price than this is your place. If you want five-star then go elsewhere and don’t expect five star cuisine. You get what you pay for and you’re getting a good deal for the price. They also have a really good happy hour special(two rolls and get the third free) so if you’re really hungry that will fill you up. The freshwater eel was quite good and so was the shrimp tempura appetizer. Actually the shrimp tempura was delicious. I will be going back here as I work in the area. And when it’s lunchtime and I don’t want greasy and fattening I’m going to be stopping at this restaurant.

I have only eaten here once but I wanted to point out that these guys don’t overdo it on the rice. So many places just pack it on and this was actually perfect. I see from other pictures this looks typical of this restaurant. My only critique is the tempura shrimp tasted pretty bad — like the oil was too old. Fresh fish on point though!

Have stopped by here multiple times for sushi! Always fresh and always delicious! Highly suggest the Davenport roll as its specific to the shop. Their eel is also very good — always fresh and the rolls are super tight.

The place was empty when we got there and we were promptly greeted by the sushi chef/owner with a very warm smile. Nice guy. I thought it was a good sign seeing a Japanese sushi chef. He took our order and was very helpful with the menu(despite the fairly thick Japanese accent that i barely understood what he was saying). The price is actually cheap for the quality of sushi you are getting. We loved everything we ordered but the Salmon Crunch Roll and Top of the World Roll stood out(salmon crunch costs less than $ 7.00). Fast service, good, affordable sushi, friendly staff(chef, 1 female server and 1 kitchen guy). What more can you ask for? Will definitely go back when i visit this side of FL again.

The sushi here is some of the, if not the best, sushi around. From 12 — 6, they have happy hour. You get three rolls for the price of two. The hibachi kid’s meals are great, too. The only complaint I have is the service. The sushi guy is great, but the other employees act like it is a burden to have to deal with you. A little smile goes a long way.

Great place to come when I feel like sushi close to home. I love the happy hour, buy two rolls get one free! The staff was nice, especially the sushi chef who came over to make sure everything was to our liking. Our drinks never went empty. The rolls are presented nicely and tasted great. The only thing I didn’t care for was the house salad, something about the ginger dressing was a little«off».

I’m gonna call this place my Davenport Diamond. We always do take out sushi during their happy hour,(4 – 6. Buy 2 rolls get 1 free.)but my wife and I finally stopped by to eat in. It’s a cute little family owned stop and the fish is awesome and fresh. It’s probably the fastest sashimi I’ve had served when it comes to prep time. Prices are pretty reasonable and really affordable if you’re in a «try something new, but I might not like it», adventurous mood. Again, 4pm to 6pm happy hour for sushi and Sashimi. Buy 2 rolls and get one free and something similar with the sashimi. The atmosphere is nice and quiet. The sushi chef is fun and very pleasant. Definitely a most if you’re in the area and craving sushi!
