Great little twists of buttered bread. Pizza sauce can be improved. Will return again.

Stumbled upon this place tonight and was pleasantly surprised! The garlic knots were delicious, although I would’ve preferred if there was a smaller portion available other than 10. Yum yum! The pizza was very tasty and fresh. The service was quick and the workers were very friendly and attentive. I will definitely be back!

Our family eats here regularly because we live a few miles away and there’s not much in the area. I just can’t figure out how they have a full dining room and no waitress service. The garlic knots that I have heard about are ok. I’m from NY so they aren’t real garlic knots to me. They are saturated in a liquid that is neither oil or butter. Tasty but different. I’ve yet to find good pizza in Florida but their pizza isn’t bad for Florida has to offer. Their sizes are unusually small but the pizza isn’t bad. Love their salads but the vinagrette dressing they serve w/the greek and chef salad isn’t good at all. Mostly oil w/a lot of green flakes in it. NEver tastes like it has a drop of vinegar. I asked for a different dressing and they brought out a disgusting yellow store bought italian dressing that made Wishbone in the bottle look good. WHen the kitchen staff brings the food out, they are very nice. Always attentive. The staff is always great. Restaurant is very clean too which is always a plus!

Saw reviews for this place and decided to drive the 20 minutes because I’ve been on a search for a good Greek Salad. The second I walked in the staff was very nice. Ordered my salad no tomatoes or olives and it came out right. The salad was delicious and very flavorful from the dressing used! They even give you a nice big piece of bread to enjoy it with. Will definitely make the trip back for salad and will try the pizza too!

Pizza is awesome! Perfect crust, tasty sauce. Cesears salad, also awesome. Helpful person taking phone orders. It was such a positive experience we were going to go back again the next day(but they were closed due to the holiday).

Came here after 8 pm, still got hot, fresh pizza(meat lovers, very generous toppings) and a Stromboli to share. Thin crust pizza was nice, kind of a cross between NY and Chicago tavern style. Crisp edges with a nice robust slice that can hold the toppings. Stromboli crust was light, stuffed with sausage, onion and green peppers made for a great choice. We were part of the Kissimmee/Davenport tourist horde, noticed a lot of locals get carry out here — good sign. Recommend for solid pizza and calzone/Stromboli! Didn’t have room for dessert, but they look tempting — homemade jumbo cookies and multi layer mini cakes.

We asked some friends to tell us about a great Italian place for pizza/Baked Zitti. Everyone said try Giovanni’s. We did. WOW!!! I did the Zitti wife tried Spaghetti. Both are 10’s its been soooo long since we had a really good tasting meatball. The sauce here is fantastic. If you are looking for a great pizza or pasta you found it. Being from Cleveland we are spoiled with Little Italy, we found it here at Giovanni’s. The owner Mike came over and welcomed us. That alone gets a 5 star. Keep up the great work guys. This place is simply the best.

This was a really pleasant surprise. We think this is the best pizza around. We had the Italian pizza and it was spectacular. The crust was perfect… crunchy on the outside and light and fluffy inside. We live in the area and this is the only place we go for Pizza. It is a little pricey, but worth it.

I was in south Orlando(Davenport) for work and was craving pizza. I wanted something I could pick up and take back to my room. Thanks to Unilocal I found Giovanni’s. I went in and placed a carry out order. The guy who took my order was very friendly. I waited for a long time to get my order but I wasn’t in a rush… just hungry. I ordered a small pepperoni and an order of garlic knots. My only complaint is I wish the garlic knots were offered in smaller quantities. 10 knots was a lot for one person and they ended up going to waste. The pizza was pretty good but I loved the garlic knots much more. I was happy with my choice and it satisfied my craving for pizza.

Warning: I was extremely hungry. But I’m happy I found this restaurant on Unilocal. The garlic knots are delicious although I regret eating all of them. Portions are very large good idea to share. Delicious food :)

Giovanni’s has a large menu of Italian food and pizzas. It is a great option for take-out family dining. There are some booths inside and some outdoor seating, if you choose to eat there. The pizza is not too bad. I am from the pizza Mecca of New Haven County Connecticut, so my opinions on pizza are strict and unforgiving. Giovanni’s is in no way New Haven style but is edible for central Florida pizza. The grinders were pretty good as well. If you’re a Yankee on vacation in the area, you can definitely get a «safe» fix of pizza and Stromboli from Giovanni’s; just be sure to get to Pepe’s as soon as you get back home!

Our first time in this place after reading the reviews. It was up to expectation, the service was fast and friendly. The food was amazing, we loved their garlic knots and the boneless wings. We really loved their pizza too. Mike the owner checked on us and was very friendly. One of our favorite places so far, highly recommend.

We ordered Garlic Knots and a half sausage, half pepperoni pizza. The Garlic knots were absolutely delicious. They came out in about 5 minutes and the pizza shortly thereafter. The pizza was excellent on the pepperoni side, including both precut and some hand-cut pepperoni, from the look of it. The crust was ok, not great. The sausage was hand-cut from links, I believe, but did not have much flavor. The service was excellent. Overall, I’d give it 3.5 stars, but I’ll upgrade it to 4 because everything is excellent besides the sausage and the crust.

I was excited to try the pizza from the glowing reviews and sadly, it was all hype. From the genuine Italian name I expected true Italian style pizza(super thin crust, blistered top, light on the toppings, buffalo mozz). NOPE… it was very touristy, American pizza. And to boot, it was doughy and not cooked long enough(got an Italian Lover). Flavors were ok, nothing special or memorable. Wasn’t worth the 20 minute drive we took to find it. The gal at the counter was very sweet and had great customer service skills. Wish the pizza matched her personality.

Eh, it’s ok. If you want something a little better than the traditional pizza chains and want to support a local business then you can go here. We had a sausage mushroom pizza and an order of boneless wings. The toppings on the pizza were good and the sauce/cheese was good, but I did not like the crust. It reminded me of Dominoes original crust before they changed it a couple of years ago. The boneless wings were better than the chain pizza places, but not up to the level of a Wing Stop or BW3’s. I’m actually fine with that because they are a pizza place first, not a wing place. All-in-all is probably return because they are a local small business and I’d like to try other things. But in rating them on pizza a 3 – 3.5 would be fairly accurate. I will say that the staff was very friendly on the phone and when I came into the restaurant. That goes a long way in my decision to return.

We ordered the garlic knots per reviews I read on here… they were ok. I have had better but I have had worse. Their marinara is unique. kind salsaish flavor… it is good. We also ordered an XL Italian lovers… note: their Italian sausage is flat sliced meat like lunch meat… I wasn’t in love with that. But the sausage had good flavor. Their toppings were fresh and flavorful. Their crust is not too thick or thin. just right, if you will. Also, ordered a lasagna. This was huge! enough for 2 people. It was very good for a quick service restaurant lasagna. I highly recommend it. We also ordered a few desserts and I was underwhelmed. I would not reorder them. Especially the baklava,.it was just. not good. All is all it was quick, good and fair priced. We would order from them again when visiting the area. It has been the best fast food we have had while in Orlando

Have you been eating something and needed an intervention to stop eating said item? That was me with the garlic knots. Perfectly buttered w/parmesan cheese on top. I don’t normally splurge on things like that but it was totally worth it. My husband and I ordered the BBQ pizza and baked ziti to share. It was more than enough and we had plenty of leftovers. The staff was nice and engaged in small talk with us. We were on our way to Disney snd wanted something quick but not fast food and casual but nice. This was perfect. If we lived closer we would be regulars.

So me and my girlfriend decided to try this highly rated pizza place that every Unilocaler has recommended. At first I was a little hesitant because I am from NY and I have yet to still find a good pizza place in FL. SO we walk in and it had this homey southern feel to it which was cool. They have TV screens every where and good country music in the background. We ordered a medium pie with 2 toppings, olives and pepperoni. As we were placing our order the guy tells us «why don’t you order a large you pay less and can get 3 toppings!» I was like OK great! I was very impress because usually food places don’t cut you any breaks. SO we changed it to a large with olives, pepperoni and spinach. We sat and didn’t wait long at all the pizza came out very quickly! It was soooo GOOD! but what I loved the most is the great customer service that you receive at Giovanni’s Pizza & Subs! They come back and ask how you are doling if it all taste good which again usually places don’t care after you pay. I recommend this place and I will definetly be going back for more pizza!!!

Oh Giovanni’s I’ve loved you for so long… I am sad to report that you are losing sway with me. When this place opened 3 years ago I could get a 14 inch cheese pizza for $ 5.99. With that deal, it was almost cheaper to eat here than it was to get a frozen pizza. The deal hooked me and the quality of the food kept me coming back. Within the year however, they raised the price to $ 6.99. Ok, I understand. In the grand scheme of things it wasn’t a huge deal. Their business was growing and I love their pizza so whatever. However, this week I was saddened when I ordered my 14 inch cheese and was informed that the price had gone up yet again. I was dismayed and I said, «Wow, I remember when it was $ 5.99.» He responded with, «That was like 3 years ago!» Well excuse me, when did 3 years become a lifetime? My point is that the price of my pizza has gone up over 33% in 3 years and I assure you nothing else in my life is climbing in price quite so fast. So, now I am at the point that it no longer makes financial sense to go to Giovanni’s. I can order pizzas with toppings for $ 6.99 at Pizza Hut. I can get a 14 inch cheese pizza for the same price at Papa John’s with a Disney Cast ID, and they just opened up a new pizza place next to Publix. It looks like my duchess title will soon be up for grabs.
