Fine enough. Had simple food and a beer. The sesame honey glaze on the wings was the hottest of their choices and certainly gave my tastes a thrill. Not a lot of view and it was a Sunday nite so middle rating. Beers were good, enough. I’m a NW guy so I’m used to hops hops hops. I’d go back.

Very good beer and excellent food. Had the APA and golden ales. The BBQ nachos were fantastic and a half order filled me up. Staff was very friendly. Only bad point is they were out of cherry beer.

Read all kind of great reviews. Went here for lunch with a great friend who was on her lunch«hour» from work. Took us 50 minutes to get our food from ordering time. FIFTY minutes. Unacceptable. Ordered one of their brews per her suggestion and hated it. Served my friend a hot cold tea and said she would bring ice, never did. Asked for a different beer said they wee out of most of the brews. At a brewery. Come on. Once we got our food it tasted great but would not go back. One guy ordered and sat and then walked out before his food came out. Very disappointing.

We were looking for a non-chain restaurant in Davenport, which proved harder than I thought it would be. The Front Street Brewery is unassuming from the outside but definitely worth a visit. Our food was great — tasty and good portion sizes. Mac and cheese was tasty, as was my pork tenderloin sandwich and sweet potato fries. I also enjoyed the beer — I normally prefer dark beers and was disappointed that the Vanilla Porter wasn’t on tap(although not totally surprised because it was June) but was pleasantly surprised by the Cherry Ale and the Saison… enough to bring home a growler of each. Definitely happy we stopped here!

The service is awesome and everyone is friendly! The best part is that my wife usually likes ketchup on her burger. The burger was so good she didn’t put anything on it and was delighted!

Food was fantastic. Beer was great. My husband paid and when we’re walking out noticed we got charged 1.75 each for a glass of water! So in total 3.50! I asked for a glass but then the waitress offered my husband one. We each had one of their beers too so it’s not like they were trying to make some beverage money off us. 1.75 is more than sodas at a lot of restaurants. I would have given them 5 stars if not for this. Seems sneaky and not something nice to do to customers. As good as the food was, seeing this put a bad taste in my mouth!

The wait staff was very friendly and prompt. On the other hand, the nachos seemed like they were reheated multiple times, stuck together and just not tasty. The table was sticky as well. Not so sure we would come back.

Started with free parking across the street and things only got better. Sat at bar for lunch and got excellent suggestions for entrees from bartender, Lewis. Most meals can easily be shared. Suggest the pulled BBQ pork nachos for starters. Excellent.

Used to love this place – great food, beer, atmosphere. Now they are under new ownership, and it is a total disaster. Went today at 12:45, they said there would be a wait, no problem as it was a nice day to hang outside & there was good brew. Long story short, at 2:15 I actually went into the kitchen & told them that if our food wasn’t up in 10 min, we would have to leave to be in time for a 3:00 show. As it was I didn’t even have time to finish lunch, and the sides were both wrong. It’s NOT the staff’s fault– they were mostly new, short-staffed, running ragged, and unfortunately not getting tipped by justly angry customers. One of the new owners was there, and he was VERY condescending when I tried to talk with him. I’m pretty ticked a whole afternoon was wasted.

This is how a brewpub should be. Good food, good beer and friendly people. I stopped in after my Iowa day tour because I really wanted something I saw from a picture on Unilocal that was some sort of Smores Stout that actually came with a graham cracker marshmallow like crust around the glass. Unfortunately that’s just some sort of special they run from time to time. My disappointment was short felt as they make their own beer and had a Hefeweizen on the menu that hit the spot. I started off with a pretzel with cheese sauce. The pretzels come in orders of 1(3 $) or 3(8 $). The cheese sauce was really good and the pretzel was hot out of the oven. For my entrée I order the blackened steak salad. The bartender asked me how I’d like my steak cooked which is always a good sign. The salad had greens, tomatoes, cucumbers, onions, goat cheese, ham and oddly enough sunflower seeds. The steak is cut into bite sized strips and is off to the side. It comes with a creole-honey mustard dressing that had the perfect amount of sweetness and horseradishiness(that’s a word now). This was a great salad! The menu is full of fun and interesting things and if I lived near by, I’d be here all the time.

Visited Front Street Brewery while out with friends in downtown Davenport. We wanted to just grab a couple drinks after a long day. Cherry Ale: tasty! Actually has a cherry taste with a maraschino cherry at the bottom. Some people I was with were not fans of the cherry taste but I thought it was refreshing. Poutine: hot fries with gravy and cheese curds. Gravy had a nice bacony taste. Cheese was gooey and delicious but I really wish there were more. I’m very interested in coming back to try out more of their great selection of foods and craft beers.

When I first came in, my partner and I were told 30 minute wait. Judging by how hopping the place was, I took that in stride grabbed a beer from the bar and headed to the back patio area with my buzzer. The patio is nice, clean area with large tables and is smoke-free if that is of concern to you. Soon enough my buzzer went off and headed to the table. Ordered Vanilla Porter and Bucktown Stout both were very good. For my food, I ordered the pulled pork nachos which were superb and very filling with even a half order. He ordered the duck confit tacos which he said were good, and a flight of the beer(which came with 8 samples of beer!). Prices are very reasonable for the food portions and quality of beer offered! Service was attentive and friendly. Ambiance is just right in that you can come in casual but it is not a divey place. Seems decent to bring a family to as well. Location is convenient, being on River Dr. just east of downtown. I would return again!

A fantastic brewpub and some of the best pulled pork nachos ever. Their beer is always top notch, but too bad it seems to take a backseat to their food when it comes to what they post on social media. They should also post what they have on tap on .

Front Street Brewery is at the front of my heart, and this is from a girl who almost never drinks. The layout of the restaurant encompasses both indoor and outdoor seating, with the bar linking the two. The inside space is a comfortable wood paneled, noisy area for people to watch/talk sports but also eat a nice dinner. We started with pretzels. Before this, I pictured pretzels as crunchy, starchy, hard-to-eat foods. This one was so good it set the bar for all future pretzels. It was also so large that I had difficulty finishing my half. Thankfully, we could take it to-go. Next: the amazing, amazingly large coconut chicken salad, and the Reuben. No complaints here. Never before have I felt so fully satisfied after eating a $ 12 salad, but they don’t skimp on the portion sizes. The beer: so many varieties, so little time. The one we tried(Old Davenport Gold) was fantastic though. I don’t think I’ve ever met a nicer, funnier server, but in any case, ours made us feel right at home, even though the restaurant was packed to bursting. Along with the food, chatting with him was one of the highlights of our visit. If you are in the Davenport area, take a stroll along the Mississippi river and then definitely visit Front Street Brewery.

I love this place, it is small yet cozy but feels very homey. Attentive staff and awesome food. Some very classic bar food options mixed with very unique food that you can’t find anywhere else around the Quad Cities. I typically get the steak salad but the fish tacos, duck tacos, and Cajun burger are pretty notable as well. The poutine is legit and the bbq pulled pork nachos make for a great appetizer as well. Awesome steak and they seem to always use fresh ingredients. I have yet to be let down from this place!

Great beer selection. I recommend combining the cherry ale and the vanilla porter. Food is always good. I’ve had their duck confit tacos, pulled pork, mac n cheese, fish tacos, various burgers. Always great. Service is always fantastic too. So why only 4 stars? It’s because the food is good, really good, and consistent. It just isn’t «oh my gosh that’s the best thing I’ve ever had and it’s blowing my mind good.»

Spent last weekend in Davenport and wanted to sample some of the many local breweries around the Quad Cities. This brewery happens to be the oldest brewery in Iowa(est. 1992). Ironically, I was at the oldest brewery in Kansas, Free State Brewery in Lawrence(est. 1989) the weekend before. This place is located in an old building on River Dr and has a nice cozy feel to it. I really think this place could benefit much more with a bigger location. It was a tight fit inside, but we made it work. We ordered a sampler that came with 8 of their beers– all were absolutely delicious! But, what really makes this place shine is the outstanding quality of their food. Ordered a burger and fries and it went really well with the beer. The burger was ordered medium and came out exactly that. Very juicy with a great bun. My wife ordered a tenderloin sandwich with aioli mustard that was simply fantastic. I definitely want to get back here again and order other items on the menu. The service here was great and our waitress very attentive. This place has a tap room right down the street in The Freight House.

This is the oldest brewery in Iowa, 24 years! Fabulous place. great choice of well made beers, excellent menu and terrific ambience. Smother burger is to die for and leaves in and out burger at five guys in the dust. Ruben is made with beef cooked on the premises. Love it! You will too! Tall tables, normal height tables, cosy booths and bar dining. Quick, friendly, knowledgable, helpful service. Several TV screens are inobtrusive and do not detract from the busy, cheerful atmosphere. Hostess is Jen, co-owner and wife of the brewmaster.
