Five Star Nail & Tan Salon

Got here 6:50 for a quick polish & gel coat and got turned away because they close at 7:30. SERIOUSLY! !!! –_​– good thing I work at the hotel next door so I can never refer people here again

Ok, so although the reviews for this place were not good I decided to try them anyway because a friend referred me. Online it says the salon opens at 9am. We’ll I got here at 855am. I waited until 910am and still no one showed up to open the nail salon. On the door it says they open at 9am. Where oh where are they???
I tried calling the number on the door… wrong number. I called the number on the website… no answer. I’m beginning to think it wasn’t meant for me to come here. I did peer through the window though. Lol! And doesn’t look dirty like previous reviews had stated. It’s kind of set up like a nail bar. Well here it is 915, I’m finished my review and still not a soul has shown up.

Very nice place! Very nice and thorough! I was afraid by the other reviews, but my experience was very good! They took me right away and even though I only got a basic pedi, it felt like the deluxe!!!
The atmosphere is very soothing and between the massage chair and my girl doing an awesome massage, I was in LA La land!
My pedicure came out excellent as well and my feet and legs felt wonderful!

Absolutely horrible. The guy was wiping his runny nose on his hands then continued to work on me and touch me with his runny nose hands. My pinky nail is burning still for some reason. The buffer was growing bacteria on it. Side note buffers are to be used once on a client by the law. The pedicure bowls looked nasty from a far. Meaning probably not cleaned after every use. He then used a brush that he dipped in with DIRTY implements and used it on my skin!!! At that point I freaked out and was absolutely disgusted. I didn’t even let him finish. I’m filing a complaint to the FL health inspectors now. Do not go here beware for your health and catching diseases.

I was very unhappy with my service that I got. I felt like I basically gave this place a 8 dollar donation with the four dollar tip I left to get my eyebrows wax and arch because it looks exactly the same as I enter the dam place. You don’t feel welcome at all when you come there. They have this straight Attitude vibe when they do the service you ask for. Even if you didn’t come for the overall experience and just for the maintenance side of girly things, don’t do it. It’s not «WORTH» your disappointment.

Didn’t really enjoy this place at all. Staff was rude and ignorant. Wasn’t clean and the tools didn’t look like they were being sanitized after every client. They reuse the same gloves as well. I will not be coming back.

Just your average nail salon. Nothing special. Their deluxe pedi is $ 35, which is more that my other place. I probably won’t return, didn’t feel it was worth my money.

Great! the people are so nice and the owner and her staff were have great pedicures to me and my two teen daughters. Super nice people… Don’t
Mind how it looks– its clean and very good for the price!

To be fair — I didn’t even get to experience a service here. Even so — my experience was enough to drive me away and ensure I’ll travel further to find someplace else.
I walked in on a Sunday afternoon and the place is busy — 4 Pedicure chairs were in use and the only person not attending a customer was a high-​school aged girl who seemed to be in charge of welcoming everyone then eventually taking payment from everyone. «Hi!» she says. «Hi — I was hoping to get a pedicure today.» I reply. «We’re pretty busy» — she states as if I didn’t notice. A few seconds of awkward silence then I try to help her out: «How long until you think you’d be ready?» She shouts over to her mother and they work out «10 minutes»
Great. After 10 minutes I’m instructed to select a color for my pedicure. I grab a nice purple (they actually had a decent selection) and sit back down in their waiting area. 5 more minutes pass and a lady walks in and is greeted awkwardly by the teen. «Can I help you?» She quickly states «I was here 30 minutes ago and you said to come back for my appointment…» The girl says «of course, of course — please select a color and have a seat, we’ll be right with you.»
I look around at the status of everyone working there: Teen’s mother was giving a pedicure and was only at the exfoliation stage; guy had just finished painting grandma’s toes but was also working on her daughter whose water hadn’t even been drained yet. Big sister/​aunt had just wrapped up a manicure but… there was a woman in a pedicure chair who hadn’t even been started on. I give them the benefit of the doubt and sit tight for 10 more minutes. Both myself and the lady who «had an appointment» were still sitting in the waiting area. So I put my polish back and walked out.
Another red flag: prices weren’t posted anywhere so I had no idea what I was getting myself into. I took it as a sign from God and came home and painted my own toes.

i like this place! got regular mani-​pedi, $ 35. sorry for my rudeness, dunno the name of the tech (pregnant asian girl) but she was very good! even though i chose the basic pedi, she still gave me a decent food massage :)
it’s been just 2days, but polish haven’t chipped yet (after reading one review i was a bit cautios trying this place).

One of my favorite places for a pedicure and manicure. I also get my brows waxed here by Me-​me. She usually throws in scalp and facial massage and much more. She is amazing! I never have had a manicure there that fast. Often times I only will get a polish change because the manicure takes too long! Oh and I had the middle pedicure which includes scrubs and hot towels and a polish change was $ 42.

Horrible manicure. From start to finish took 7 mins. That’s some sloppy stuff! Chipped all over in less than a day. Maybe the worst manicure I’ve ever had. And I gave the guy 19 on 12 so you’d assume he’d try a little harder!
