Pork was undercooked. Sliders were tasty. The service was mediocre. Waitstaff tried to turn the table so we were rushed to order and rushed to go. Deck is a nice setting along the creek. Hostess and waitstaff not overly friendly– more interested in talking to each other than to us. Good place for a beer on the deck but I probably wouldn’t order diners — stick to apps and sandwiches.

Wonderful place for lunch or dinner by the waterfall! Cool menu, the best patio ever and a very scenic drive to get there from harrisburg or the west shore. I reccomend sitting at the patio later in the afternoon because the sun will roast you. Service is a little slow and you will get thirsty. Inside there is a pool table and this place is smoker friendly. This place caters to all crowds! It’s very wierd actually. A good kind of wierd. Upon arrival, we only saw hogs parked out on the gravel drive way in the small town of dauphin, and we’re surrounded by big bearded tattooed bikers,(we got there at 2pm) by the time we left(3:30pm) there was a lotus, several new BMWs, Corvettes, and Mercedes… the drivers were all suited, dressed really formally. This place by NOMEANS is formal. I recommend their teriyaki wings. Fresh and fried perfectly. The sauce was just right. The calm soup was really good too. The fries are house cut and personally not fried enough. I felt they were on the soggy side. We ordered crab sandwhiches, flounder and a cuban. My maryland crab sandwich was very tasty and my husbands boiled crab was tasty too! The bread was toasty which is a huge plus. Overall, If it’s a beautiful day, and you want to eat outside, this is well worth a visit!

Had a very nice 15th anniversary meal here. Food is excellent and very reasonably priced. The Veal Oscar I has was loaded with crabmeat and had very nice veal filets. My hubby had the Broiled Seafood and it was fabulous. We tried the cheese flamed in wine appetizer and it was delicious! Service was also very good. Although, I had asked to have my fries packed up separately from the veal. She took them and never brought them back. Bummer. This will definitely be in our frequently visited restaurants rotation. Good, reasonably priced food is always worth going back for!

I have been here twice… And both times the service has been shotty. I brought my girlfriend here for the first time for a romantic view but stood and waited as server after server walked by me and didn’t even acknowledge that I even existed. The manager, which was a very nice lady saw this happening for 10 to 15 minutes, had gone to say something to them because she said that this wasn’t the first time. The waitress that we had was extremely short with us and acted as though it was our fault that the manager had to say something… Food was good! Nothing against the food… And the beers, super cold. Next experience… Not too busy on a Sunday night… Had gone there with my buddy to just hang out… Not greeted by anyone… A Hispanic lady was at the entrance… Didn’t even look at us… I said, «where is an available seat?» She said, «not the one to talk to.» And walked away… Three others walk past me when I realize there is a seat at the bar… we ask if we can sit at the bar to eat and no one even looks at us… Hop a seat at the bar and say hello to the bartender… She looks at us and turns and walks away… No smile, no nothing… It’s a wonderful place for food and a view… I have offered this place a lot of my time to be blown off… It’s a shame!

Definitely worth the try! Stumbled across this place on the way home from a road trip. The deck is very nice and overlooks a lovely waterfall but we ate in the dining room because the heat and humidity were a bit much. The whole establishment was tastefully decorated and very clean. The service was outstanding. Dirty dishes were promptly cleared, drinks did not run out, and our server was very prompt, polite, attentive, and personable. As others mentioned, the food is a little pricy($ 17 – 24 for the majority of the entrees) and not a huge variety of choices, but the portions were very generous and the quality of the food was quite good. We each had over half of our meal leftover to take home. The only real issue we had was that our initial fountain beverages from the dining room tasted bad with a funky aftertaste, but our server promptly replaced them from a different dispenser and that took care of the issue. Overall, I’d definitely recommend this place and I hope we have the opportunity to dine here again the next time we are in the vicinity.

This place is wonderful! There are 3 areas to choose where to be seated: outside deck, bar area, and a main dining room. I’ve eaten in the main dining room for dinner and had a fantastic steak. This recent visit, I ate in the bar. The bar menu was good for lunchtime. I ordered the cream of crab soup as a starter. It had a very balanced flavor and lots of crab. I ordered the gyro and was happy to see it came with condiments on the side so you can fix it however you want. They had pepperoncini peppers, kalamata olives, feta cheese and the tzatziki sauce all on the side. The pita bread was fresh and the lamb was cooked nicely. They had a nice selection of draft beer – including their own. Very nice place with a serene view of the creek.

I struggle with this place! Location is good — right outside of Harrisburg. Really great outdoor seating area by a little waterfall! Their menu isn’t my favorite in terms of smaller servings variety(sandwiches, salads, apps). With that said, their Greek salad is great! Chicken parm entrée is all very good. Their service has been painful more than once. Super long waiting and totally not attentive. We continue to go back due to outdoor seating and kids find something they like(and parents have beer), but that have some room for improvement!

My fiancée and I live about a mile from the Inn and it’s our go to local eatery and watering hole. Great food, a good portion of which has a decidedly Greek flavor to it. Drinks are always mixed just right and the wine selection is impressive for a small town establishment. The best time to visit is in the summer when the deck is open overlooking the creek but even in February the place is busy. It’s about a 15 minute drive from downtown Harrisburg but well worth the trip. My only complaint is that the menu is kind of static. Since we live so close it seems like we have had mostly everything they have to offer. I know they have daily specials but it would be nice if they rotated the menu a bit depending on the season.

Have only eaten in the dining room a few times, but I’ve had good experiences each time. I do enjoy their bar & deck. The food & drinks have always been good, the prices reasonable. Great location on the creek, so if you can hit it in the summer, check out the deck.

Food is amazing and the service is great too! It’s a must stop, especially in the summer with their deck at the end of Stoney Creek where you can dine by a 15 foot waterfall/damn.

Sat at 1 pm. 40 mins to get a tuna melt tht was cold. Had to ask the waiter twice for menus. Would not go back. Oh and not even any locks on the stalls in the ladies room… that’s such basic maintenance that’s not taken care of. So how clean can they be?

The Stoney Creek Inn is a great establishment in Dauphin – the boro, as locals might call the town of Dauphin. There’s an outstanding deck, where if seated out on the deck there is a great view of the waterfall over the boro dam. The deck is practically built over the creek, so you can watch the falls, waterfowl and the fishermen while dining. There is a nice bar out on the deck, with a couple of televisions if you want to watch a game while out there. The deck will be open from approx. early May to mid-October, as weather permits. Indoors the Stoney has a bar with tables for dining, and then there is a more formal dining room area. The bar section also has a pool table, if you want to shoot a couple of racks of pool. The Stoney sells package goods to go, such as sixers and quarts and 40 ouncers. Unless I am mistaken, all of the food on the menu is also available for take-out. The Stoney has a full lunch-and-bar-food type menu, which is available both lunch and dinner. They also have a full«dinner menu» I will call it. The lunch menu runs the range from gyros and salads to burgers and club sandwiches. The dinner menu also has many different selections, including steaks, veal dishes and seafood selections. There is a great selection of appetizers, including clams casino, octopus, scallops wrapped in bacon and steamed clams. The steamed clams are first rate and my favorites, the broth(lemon garlic?) they are served in being quite outstanding. The clams casino is also a good choice from the appetizer list, some of the best around. In my view, the Stoney is one of the best places in the area for steak and seafood. Prime rib is available every day, it’s not just a certain day thing like other places. This place has steaks that are way up the food chain, they are that good. I don’t know where the Stoney gets the beef they serve, but it definitely does not come from Weis/Giant. Try the Delmonico. The bar has a great selection of beer, both bottled and draft. Prices? I mean, what is inexpensive these days, maybe McDonalds? You can go to McDonalds if you want to, or the Hardees on the other side of the boro, if you want to eat out on the cheap. You will not get a prime steak at Hardees, nor a nice slab of prime rib. You could also go to Applebees or some other box restaurant, and get steak like cardboard, faux tex/mex, machined décor, and wait staff wearing happy face buttons. In my view, the food at the Stoney is very reasonably priced, for what you are getting. The Stoney Creek Inn – Good food and good service. Oh yeah, and try the cream of crab soup.

I found this place on a road trip when i stopped to try to get a better view of the small random statue of liberty on a rock in the river. The deck was awesome. My girlfriend and I ordered the buffalo waffle fries and chicken wings. The buffalo waffle fries were so good. They were crispy and the house blue cheese was the BEST i have ever had. Dauphine is a very small town and I am so glad that i found this gem.

I ate here last night with a group of 8. Service was decent. Seafood was great. I had calamari with puttanesca sauce which was rich and flavorful and tender. I tasted the clams casino-delicious. The grilled octopus was tender with a nice smokey flavor. My only complaint is that the owners don’t allow the check to be split.

Ok, we stopped here on mothers day Sunday for lunch. Really nice deck that overlooks the creek. We checked their web page for the hours. Said it opened at 1100. We got there at 1130. Only one other couple was on the deck. The staff seated us right away but look confused and somewhat panicked. A waiter took our drink order and came back quick with our drinks. He then promptly told us that the kitchen was NOT taking food orders until 1200 because they were«really busy» trying to get things preped for Mother’s Day. Really? You tell us that after you seat us and bring our drink orders? What kind of management opens a restaurant at 1100 but won’t allow you to order food till 1200? Why wouldn’t the kitchen staff come in early to prep the kitchen? Nice place, poorly managed. Won’t be back.

Over priced! Took my daughter to dinner there for her birthday last nite. Dinner was good not the greatest. Have had better for cheaper. Everything it seemed you ordered was extra. Wanted extra dressing got my salad a little cup cost .75 extra. My daughters meal came with 2 sides so she got side salad as one and penne pasta with sauce as the other well I guess a little bowl of pasta with sauce was not one of the sides u can get so that cost 3.00 more. The server asked if we wanted bread with our dinner we said yes she then bought us out a toasted hoagie roll. Really? A hoagie roll. 8.00 for a slice of cheesecake. Really? I could buy a whole one for a little more money. Like I said good was ok service was good. But watch what u order cause when u get your bill u will be like WOW!!!

First time here and I wasn’t that impressed. May be better in the summer when you can sit on the deck and soak up the atmosphere. I just didn’t care for my burger but I’d be willing to stop again and try more items.

Buyer Beware. I felt like this restaurant’s only goal is to suck as much money off the customer as possible. I ordered a Caesar salad as an appetizer($ 7.95). What I was presented with was nothing short of an embarrassment. It consisted of approximately 12 small pieces of lettuce, 3 croutons, and a pathetic amount of dressing(could barely taste it). To top it off, it was served on a huge platter for some reason. On to the sandwiches. They were fair at best. The gyro meat is not fresh and the cuban sandwich appeared to be microwaved. Finally, the service was bad. Our waitress, although I suspect she was new, seemed inconvenienced by our presence. I was shocked by the ordeal. As a result, I wrote a letter to the management detailing my experience. I never even received an acknowledgement of my letter. Do yourself a favor and drive past this establishment that obviously does not care about its customers.
