Dicks Sporting Goods. Upscale sporting goods store. I went here with my friend who wanted cleets for rugby. He never did purchase the cleets, but bought some weird energy gel instead. Also, I got my bike fixed here.

We went in today to buy a bicycle helmet. The kid that checked us out was very nice and surprisingly corporate. After being offered the rewards card, I made a joke that «you must be mistaking us for people who play sports or exercise». And this started a conversation on his end about the praises of Dick’s sporting goods. And he was right, Dick’s has things that you can’t find anywhere else. You need a fishing pole? Not a problem. Want to do yoga on a bodyboard? We have yoga mats AND bodyboards! So as much as I don’t do the sports thing, I have to admit that Dick’s has it’s place in the world.

Colleen was amazing, even measuring my knee to make sure i got the right size! Alas, when I went back to purchase some running sneakers, the young man was by himself and was way over worked. He was knowledgeable however just not able to give me the attention I needed and I left without new shoes!

A bit out of the way in that massive parking lot, but otherwise, I really like this location. Have been here several times and have never left empty handed. Their prices are pretty competitive for not being a discount store. Clean atmosphere. Never too crowded. And, I like that the employees wear those little earphones to communicate with each other. They can provide answers to my questions immediately and that is appreciated.
