I recently discovered I had a leak in one of my tires and decided to take my car to Jack’s since I live 10 minutes away. After I arrived and was waiting for my tire to be repaired one of the service guys came out and said did you know that your tire is no good? I said what do you mean my dad just checked them and told me there good for another year. He proceeded to show me the tire which had some cracks on the INSIDE of the tire and said he would check the other ones. He then said I needed to purchase 4 new tires. He advised me that it was a safety issue and that I shouldn’t drive anywhere with my tires. He said my car shouldn’t have even passed inspection with the condition of my tires. I said that’s funny the shop that inspected it never said anything about my tires being no good. He said well its probably not there fault things slip by sometimes. I told them that purchasing tires wasn’t a option at the time and I just wanted the leak repaired. He refused to fix my leak telling me that the tires where to bad for him to be allowed to fix the leak and that even if he fixed the leak with the cracks on the inside it would still lose air. They pushed and tried everything to get me to purchase new tires. They had me in fear that my car was a extreme safety issue because of inside tire cracks. I went to another shop and got my leak repaired and they fixed it and never said anything being unsafe. When I asked the shop that fixed it his opinion he said inside cracks to not affect the safety of your tires. Tread is what matters when purchasing new tires. He assured me my tires will be good till next winter. Also another time I had a water pump that went bad on my car and asked Jacks how much to fix they told me $ 800 when I got it done somewhere else for $ 400. Bottom line they wanted to sell me new tires I didn’t need and when I refused to purchase they refused to fix my leak. Horrible customer service. I don’t recommend anyone taking there car there. They have completely lost my business and I refuse to even purchase there gas again because of this.
